The Slow Burn by Kristen Ashley Book Summary

Toby hangs around town to get to know the woman Johnny fell in love with. He also hangs around to get to know Addie.
But he’s fallen hard, and he knows the best thing for him—and Addie—is for him to leave.
Addie Forrester is thrilled her sister Eliza found a good, solid man. Johnny Gamble is the salt of the earth. The best guy in the world.
The best except for his brother, Toby.
Toby doesn’t know it, but Addie’s fallen hard too. He’s perfect, except for the fact that he’s hands off and it’s torture, being friends with Toby when she wants so much more.
Addie also has a lot on her mind. She’s got bills to pay, her young son needs food, Christmas is coming and her job at the grocery store just isn’t cutting it.
Toby is steering clear of Addie. Addie is steering clear of Toby. But everyone around them knows this is the slow burn.
Because just like Eliza and Johnny, Addie and Toby were made for each other.

Family. Kristen Ashley did it again! Family is who you choose to have around you and learn from. This is a great example of choosing your family and realizing what is most important.
The Slow Burn By: Kristen Ashley. It’s always a pleasure to read any of her work. K. A. Always has very well developed characters with such great backstory. The Forrester girls are of course lovely and they have met their match with the Gamble Boys. I can honestly sit and read one book of hers in roughly three hours. They are so engaging and well written that you want to find out what happens! All of KA’s series are amazing! If you’ve stumbled upon this by accident ...you have to read the Rock Chick series and the Dream Man series too. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have!
Slow Burn. If I could give this book a ten star rating, I would! The talent that Kristen Ashley has along with the imagination never fails to amaze me! Be prepared To laugh and cry and fall in love with every main character of this book, Especially Tobie and Margot!!
Couldn’t put it down. Just like all of her stories, once you start, you can’t stop. Beautifully written.
OMIGOSH. I couldn’t put this book down, read it on one sitting that happened to last two days. The whole ending had me sobbing like a baby, Kristen Ashley knows how to work people’s emotions 😂❤️😭🤧
Best Ever. I’ve read almost all of KA’s books at least twice. I immediately read Johnny and Izzy’s book as soon as it came out (and reread it a few days ago)...I just finished Tobey and Addie’s book. I have no idea why it took me so long to read it. I’m in LOVE with the Gamble Brothers and ADORE the Forrester Sisters. I could read tons more books of their stories if there were going to be any. I will not do spoilers but this book made me wish for Moon Light & Motor Oil in my life. And if you pay attention KA imparted a lot of good wisdom through this story. Enjoy 😉
