Good, just rushed. I’ve loved Kathleen Brooks other series for a long time, so I was eager to try this one. The supernatural elements sounded fun. Zoey and her neighbors have a great introduction in the first half. But wow, the second half of this story was rushed. Everything after Zoey accepting the existence of witchcraft seems like a skeleton of a story, waiting to be fleshed out in the next revision. We spent so long getting to know the town and the people that the entire plot gets sidelined. Like, they solved a murder and prevented Armageddon in barely a week, and most of that was jump-cuts between mundane scenes that weren’t critical to the story. I will totally read more, I’m just a little disappointed and feel like these characters got short shafted.

Disappointed. I love all the Keeneston books and was disappointed a paranormal ties into those. I love the world of Keeneston, but this was a turnoff.

Loved this book. I don't read much but the first day I started reading this book I couldn't stop

What a fun read!. Zoey and company would make the best of friends. The touch of heat with Slade was perfect. I can’t wait to read their further adventures.

Good read! What’s next??🥰. I really needed a good read and I’m lucky I found it! Zoey’s character is relatable and I love the mystery of the men in her life. Excited for the next one to come.

Slightly inclined to read more.... I enjoyed the read, while it was short. I do have to say the transfer from being a lawyer to becoming a witch was a little clustered but overall pretty good.

Good read. I always enjoy books by this author—however, I LOVE the Keenston books, and to have a supernatural series tie into their series is a little off putting to me (the small mention of characters and places are nice Easter eggs, but makes you know they’re in the same world). I will definitely read the rest of the trilogy

Not bad. It was a little hard to get into at first and follow and ended a bit abruptly but not to bad.

Ecellent. Loved this story. It has it all....interesting characters, drama, a little romance and humour. It kept me entertained until the end. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
