Good, but…. I loved the characters and the character development, ending seemed abrupt and rushed: I still have a question: what happened with Kevin? no smut so look elsewhere for that.

Always With Me - Second Chance at Love With Mystery Thrown in. Yet another great start to a new series from Barbara Freethy involving suspense and romance. Gianna and Zach met at summer camp when they were teenagers. They had an amazing connection that ended up dissolving with a horrible misunderstanding. Fast forward 14 years later, and both of them have returned to Whisper Lake, each for different reasons, both of them feeling the same connection that they had all those years ago, and both wary. Gianna is back home to help run her aunt's store while her aunt recovers from an injury, but she is also there to recover from her third broken engagement. Each time she gets engaged she realizes that this is not the right person and ends up calling off the engagement. Zach is back in town as the architect in charge of redesigning the summer camp that is being remodeled and then reopened. But Zach is also in search of something else. Love the mystery that surrounds both Zach and Gianna, and how they ultimately help each other in their quests, and ultimately to find their way back to each other. Looking forward to reading more installments in the Whisper Lake series.

The series will be awesome. Always With Me is another fantastic novel from Barbara Freethy. I loved the bridge made from the Calloway’s to this new series. This fast-paced novel grabs your attention at page one and keeps it all the way to the end. This page turner will have you flying through the pages. I highly recommend this book and I assure you that you won’t be disappointed. I look forward to the continuation of this series.

Always With Me. Simply wonderful! I’m glad Zach, and Gianna gets their second chance to be together again.

Second chance love - Gianna and Zach. Returning to the small hometown near Whisper Lake was hard for Gianna after three broken engagements. It became a bit harder when she ran into the boy she met at the summer camp there when she was 15. They parted under difficult circumstances. As Gianna tries to figure out her life she helps Zach to solve his own problems. In working together will they have their second chance? Gianna and Zach are complicated characters that Barbara Freethy has truly brought to life. I could not put this book down and can’t wait to return to the characters at Whisper Lake.

Great New Series!. This is a terrific start to a new series. I thought “Always with Me” was a great, lighthearted story with some adventure along the way. It was fun reading about Zach and Gianna and seeing them build a new relationship and dealing with issues in their lives. It was also fun to watch Gianna and her girlfriends reconnect and to see Zach fight to help maintain a relationship with Hailey who he helped raise before her mother died. The Callaway books are one of my favorite series, so I was happy to have that family included in this series. Barbara writes such good stories that I feel a part of the community. I look forward to the continuation of this series and reading about all of the new characters we were introduced to.

ALWAYS WITH ME. ALWAYS WITH ME ...Barbara Freethy Gianna seeing Jeramy the first of her broken engagements, now she has another to her name, and eight years later. Spending the summer in Whisper Lake to run her Aunt’s shop for her. His teasing bothered her, seems as though that all she has known, from the gawky art kid . Still seemed she couldn’t get life right yet, maybe she hadn’t figured out who she was. The men she dated had a vision of her, but didn’t have much idea of who she really was. Going up to the camp which was in desperate need of repair, stepping out on the pier. With rotten boards she falls thru, and who should pull her out was Zack. A dream from school days, no he volunteered to redesign the camp. He was back, now remembering her first kiss, first dance, first heartbreak, was with him.At least he liked her drawings, and what she was doing, never made fun of her preferring that over horseback riding Necklace of hers got hm kicked out of camp, though he denied taking it. Finding out. now, the reason the person took it, and the mystery of it, and who she really. was, Powerful story of Gianna pushing past her fears, and insecurities, and. looking forward to marriage and being a family someday soon. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

One of My Favs. This book is a thrilling romantic and I love it and can’t wait to continue with the series.

Good read. The first in this newest series. We find ourselves at Whisper Lake, with a close knit group of friends and the sixteen year old grown to adults romance. Past trauma, bad decisions and failed romantic partners, make this story interesting. The tribulations are long and suffering. Good read with the expected HEA.

Good with a ?. I really liked this story but was disappointed that I need to buy next book to find out about Chloe & Kevin, I loved Gianna & Zach’s story but was left hanging at the end.

Great New Series. Another must read for all Barbara Freethy’s followers. The book always with me is the first in the new series Whisper Lake. Gianna and Zach were sweethearts at summer camp until Gianna believes Zach took something very special from her. Fast forward 14?years and Zach finds himself saving Gianna again from the waters of Whisper Lake. Gianna and Zach need to resolve issues in their lives but soon realize the attraction between them is alive and not forgotten. I enjoyed reading their story as they both tackle the issues affecting their lives. I do look forward to more stories coming from the Whisper Lake family.

Always with Me. I couldn’t quit reading and had to remind myself to breath through some of the unknowns. What a great book!

A book you cant put down until the end. Brought tears to my eyes, great characters in a love story that brings the past to the present with a realistic outcome.

Like all her others series she takes us to some place we have never been but want to go visit or live there with her book friends!! Gianna and Zach met in high school and fell in love, then on to summer camp but with Zach losing his Dad and Gianna losing her necklace that she thinks Zach took...they part... Now years later Gianna moves back home, 3 engagements broken and not knowing what is holding her back from walking down the aisle she is determined to find her way. That is until she runs into Zach again...still believes he took her necklace...still has feelings for him... and wants no parts of being around him. Can Zach prove to Gianna he didn’t take her necklace and find out what really happened to it, wants her back in his life permanently and show her why she hasn’t been able to take that final step to her HEA...because that is what he is!!

Loved finding out what happened to Gianna and Zach. What a great love story.. The characters are so real and the story made me feel good. Ms Freethy really knows how to grab you and keep you enthralled.

Great Story!. What a beautiful story about young first love and a painful breakup to second chances a number of years later. You have drama, mystery and interesting characters with great chemistry. You can’t help but root for Gianna and Zach to make it! I laughed and I cried! Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Excellent read!. Always With Me, the first book in new Barbara Freethy’s new series set in Whisper Lake, Colorado introduces new characters and incorporates several from her Callaways books. Gianna has come home after years away to assist at her aunt’s antique store. Engaged three times, Gianna has yet to actually make it to the altar. Zach, her first boyfriend from 14 years ago has returned to help Hunter Callaway renovate the old summer camp where they had fallen in love. These two have a history that ended badly with accusations and tears. Zach is recovering from his last relationship that ended in death and loss. There are secrets to be revealed and feelings to be examined as Ms. Freethy most adeptly draws the reader into one woman’s search for her birth mother, a man’s determination that he be allowed to continue contact with a child he loves, and perhaps a second chance at love for both. Along the way readers are introduced to characters that you just know will get their own equally exciting stories. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.

A little disappointing. I ve read Barbara’s books before but this one just didn’t work. Characters say one thing in one paragraph and then the opposite in the next. It also came to an end slightly abruptly.

Always With Me. This was a beautiful story full of action, adventure, love, secrets, lies and the complexity of family and how the bonds of friendship are never broken despite distance. The perfect book to start the new Whisper Lake series and another wonderful book from Barbara.
