Ám egyik fiútestvére annyit mesélt neki a főiskolai élményeiről, hogy a kíváncsi lány elhatározta, ő is kipróbálja ezt az újfajta életet. Önerőből tanulni kezdett, magát képezve tett sikeres felvételi vizsgát, és hatalmas tudásvágya eljuttatta őt még az óceánon túlra is.
