Great plot and sub-plots with true-to-life events. A story (Currawong Creek) that kept a good pace and a great read so that I could hardly step away as I just wanted to see how she was going to weave the story and have it be a happy conclusion for all the sub-plots in the overall storyline. Great job! For me it was a page turner and late into the night read with a great ending all the way around. Will definitely seek out more of her books.

Aussie Romance That is an Excellent Read!. This book makes me want to go back and revise previous five-star ratings I have given other books, because this one shows them all up. There is no doubt that the story, the writing, everything about this book is really well done! Join Clare, a 27-year-old Brisbane lawyer, as she re-unites with her Clydesdale-breeding grandfather Mick, whom she last saw at age 11. Weave in a traumatized young foster child, Jack, and his addicted mother Taylor, plus Dan, a compassionate vet to fall in love with, and a bevy of other characters who naturally intertwine and engage with the main characters in this multifaceted story. There is a little bit of everything here… romance, environmental activism, gorgeous Queensland scenery, lifetime friendships and supportive community ...it is evocatively written and so it is easy to be drawn in and through the story‘s twists and turns. This book is well above average for the genre. Its prose flows beautifully and it appears to have been expertly written and edited, at a time when the latter, especially, seems to be missing from so many romance novels on the market. There is story depth and character development here not commonly found in the genre. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and therefore highly recommend it. Thank you, Jennifer Scoullar! I look forward to reading more of your books.
