Full of emotions and hot chemistry. This author never fails to deliver seriously hot and swoon-worthy story! It was a great start for the new series and I can’t wait for more! Shay and Jackson’s story was field with emotions, personal growth and healing, and of course some steamy hot chemistry! They were both easily lovable characters that you can connect with and can’t help but root for their HEA. It was a truly enjoyable read and I gladly recommend it! I received an ARC of this book from “Bad Boy Update” and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Page turner. This book is great! I literally could not put it down. It is a great love story.

This Crazy Love. I enjoyed this book. It touched on real problems (domestic abuse and PTSD) and the difficulties people have dealing with these issues. The author didn’t try to sugarcoat the struggles or make light of them. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Shay and Jackson. This Crazy Love is the first book in the Swoon series by J H Croix set on a ranch in the North Carolina mountains. This book is an excellent start with well written character development that you really enjoy reading and getting to know them. Shay comes to the ranch of her brothers best friend Jackson to heal after a well publicized abusive relationship. Jackson also has demons of his own from being in the military but they are both instantly attracted to each other. This book is swoon worthy and definitely worth reading. Great Romance Story. Recommend: Yes (For 18+) Contains: Detail of sexual activity Trigger Warning*: Sexual assault and domestic violence* The romance in this story is wonderful and it also talks about the trauma of abuse and how people cope with them. It gets a bit hot and steamy between the two main characters and I think it helps build their relationship and opens themselves back up to love again.

3 stars. Enjoyed the setting in NC, and the animal rescue (and human rescue) angle.

Crazy love. The plot wasn’t fully developed, kept repeating flashbacks and sex scenes. Didn’t enjoy the story.

Nice. I loved this story. The characters were interesting. The writer should write stories about Remy and Dani. They both deserve stories of their own.

Long winded but worth it. Good read, no real steams sex scenes but intimate one, cute story but long winded I power read though some of the more meaningless parts to the good parts

Love Love Love. Jackson and Shay’s story just stole my heart. Their chemistry and raw need for each other is so powerful that neither of them know what to do with the feelings that develop between them. Shay came to Jackson running from her past. She needed a safe place to land. Jackson doesn’t think love is ever in the cards for him. His demons from the military haunt him daily. The unexpected new relationship is everything they never thought they could have Love, Peace, Family and a future of happiness. I voluntarily received this arc from Bad Boy Update for an honest review.

Jackson is deliciously alpha!. 4.5 Stars This is book one in the Swoon series and it features Jackson and Shay. She needs a place to lick her wounds. Recovering from a very public and abusive relationship, she’s going to her childhood friend’s ranch. Her brother’s best friend just happens to run this ranch. He just happens to be burn-down-the-building SEXY! They both have their own PTSD to deal with and don’t think either are ready for anything more than a little fun. The sex is ridiculously hot and Jackson is deliciously alpha. Can they overcome all they’ve been through to find happiness together? The story is slow, in a good way, and deliciously steady. The characters are all fantastic and well developed. I look forward to reading more in this superb series.

DNF @5%. Author unable to pull me in. I don’t like storylines that have unrealistic coincidences or setups that are cheesy. Girl always down on her luck, somehow ends up in proximity to an old crush, shocker there’s electricity when they are near or a shock when they touch. OMG he’s across the hall…🙄.

This Crazy Love. 4 1/2 Stars This crazy love Jh croix Shay was pretty raw and broken when she landed on Jackson’s ranch after running out on most of her options. Physically and emotionally abused by her first but ex boyfriend and publicly harassed due to his famous politician father, Shaw was exhausted and beaten. Jackson had demons of his own to battle. The last thing he was prepared for was his intense attraction to his best friend’s kid sister. With slow to moderate pacing, the author took the time to develop the main characters and their growing romance. I appreciated the lack of cheating and unneeded drama. A very satisfying HEA rounded out this well written book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book via Bad Boy Updates.

Crazy Love. I truly enjoyed the book! I didn’t want to put it down. It kept wondering what would happen at the end. It’s intense.

This Crazy Love. This well written storyline will have the readers feeling so many emotions. Both characters have tragic pasts and don’t think they are good enough. Shay had a crush on Jackson and even had a kiss years ago. She only has $50 to her name and needed to get away from her devestating past that almost killed her. She needs to overcome the trauma and get her back to life. She lost her parents when they were killed by a tornado while on vacation. Jackson was overseas in the military when his dad died of a heart attack. He came home to take over the family farm with his sister. Jackson is a veternarian and first responder along with his sister Ash. The farm was transformed into an upsale wilderness adventure lodge with a restaurant, a veternary clinic and rescue program.

Love like crazy. Seriously loving this series

Great story with lots of depth. Loved this story of Jackson and Shay. Individually, they both had shared their own tragedies; Jackson through war and Shay through domestic abuse and rape. Friends forever and best friends with each other’s sibling, they fight desperately against their attraction to each other. The story is sexy, romantic, and encouraging throughout. Enjoy!

Did Not Finish. Got to chapter four before I called it quits. The general plot isn’t bad, girl down on her luck running from what is insinuated as an abusive ex back to her hometown and best friend & best friend’s big brother and naturally sparks fly. But here was my issue, run-on sentences and poor sentence structure. Poor word choices and phrasing, his dad “never bounced back” after his wife unexpectedly died from cancer diagnosed too late. Who “bounces back”? Then the insinuated abusive past relationship. Again I didn’t finish the book so I don’t know what it really was but there were comments “living in fear” “a place to feel safe” a dent in a car door made by a fist, etc. I would’ve expected her to be somewhat skittish around a man she may have grown up with but hasn’t seen in many years, but instead within an hour of arriving she’s fighting the urge to jump his bones. Just doesn’t seem that some of the finer plot points were properly thought through.

Wonderful. I loved how the main characters were able to get through their pain to find love.

This crazy love. The author works with two characters damaged in the past with so much vulnerability they don’t intend to enter a committed relationship. Their struggles to deal with each other, loneliness and growing attraction seem realistic. Happy ending are delightful

Good read!. It was a little cheesy, but very sexy, and I could not stop reading. Would recommend :-).

Ok. I had a hard time getting into this book. Plot felt rushed yet too slow all at the same time. I usually enjoy her books, but this was a miss for me.

Add more to the story. I enjoyed reading the book. I think you should add more to the story and not left off where she’s pregnant it would be nice to know what she’s having or if she has any complications and how their life is going to go after having a child

Jackson & Shay. Enjoyed their story and loved that the epilogue was split into two parts. Shay had quite the awful background and she was an absolute warrior for surviving that trauma. Jackson also experienced deep grief in his past, and while it was briefly touched upon, it was never discussed in full between Shay and Jackson. The chemistry between the two was palpable and stemmed back to when they were growing up. I loved the sense of family on the farm, between all the staff at the rescue and lodge.

Crazy! Forbidden? Love!!!. This new series starts with Shay, sister to Remy (Into the Fire Series, Book 10), and with Jackson, Remy’s best friend who is also Shay’s best friend’s brother. Shay is healing after an abusive relationship. With nowhere to go, her brother Remy secures a place for her to stay with their best friends on their ranch. Jackson also has his own demons, now out of the military, he suffers from PTSD. Neither seems to think that Love and HEA is in the cards because they each feel like they are too “messed up”. Shay and Jackson have shared a kiss in the past, but nothing has ever become of their attraction because of the unspoken rule: “you don’t date your best friend’s little sister/ you don’t date your brother’s best friend”! This story is so well named!!! “This Crazy Love”… This attraction is “crazy”, “forbidden” (or so they think it should be)… but it definitely is LOVE!! Again, it is so well written… I LOVE that Ms. Croix can make you feel everything in a language that is not “corny” or “vulgar”. BRAVO Ms. Croix!! Loved it!!
