Meant to be read together. First, I want to be clear, the three volumes must be read together to get the “whole” story. They will tug your heart strings, you will alternately love and hate the three main characters but the story, oh, the story. It’s all about The Plan. And once you understand, oh how you will feel the love. Lots of feels in these three books. I read them once, then read them again, to see what I missed once I knew. Enjoy!

Mixed emotions. I'm not even sure where to begin reviewing this book. I have mixed emotions about the story. The fun times are soooooo much fun. But there's always a BUT during the fun. How can you be having fun when you're waiting for the other shoe to drop? There are some heavy issues in this book. Guilt, love, abuse, suicidal thoughts, heartbreak, desertion and taking care of one another. I enjoyed the Sunday brunches at Cafe du Monde and the adventures that would follow. They were so much fun. Having been to New Orleans before it was exciting to see something that is not on the tourist map. Watching Luc and Cash fix up the house left me wondering how are they going to earn a living. They've been home now for a few weeks, but neither has a job, nor are they looking for one. I guess they could've put away a chunk of money while they were in the service, but what are their plans. I guess I'll have to read Volume 2 to see if my questions are answered. I feel I have more questions than answers. I wonder if they will be answered.

Great start. Three friends re-connect, intermixing their past and present. There's a mysterious death, secrets as yet unveiled while feelings between them grow and change. This book sets the stage, whets your curiosity but doesn't leave you hanging, just wanting more.

SO GOOD!. First, I have to say this is my time writing a review for any book. I was sent copies of the trilogy for an honest review and I have to say I don’t know that I would’ve read them otherwise as they aren’t her typical black knight genre. However I’m so glad I did! I could not put these books down. The descriptive writing took me back to NOLA and I felt like I was there! And so cleverly funny (don’t miss the dogs name, it may take a minute). I loved each character and felt like I knew them.

Just like a beignet, sweet and addicting. A dynamic and diversified group of characters play out their lives in the very unique and special city of New Orleans. The main characters, Maggie, Cash and Luc have a strong bond of love, friendship, loyalty and respect. They met as teenagers and had an instant connection but, Cash and Luc enlist and become Green Berets and don't speak to Maggie for ten years. Now, they are back and it is awkward because there are secrets and hurts that are hard to ignore. Plus, there is the mysterious missing Dean, a fellow teen that disappeared ten years ago and Maggie and Luc are under suspicion. This is a mesmerizing story that keeps you wanting for Maggie, Cash and Luc to find their peace, their happiness and their future...which you need to read the following volumes in order to find out how they all fare. The writing is so good you feel as if you are in the French Quarter with this lively bunch and you can't put the book down.

Sad and sweet. This is a story about 3 friends who love each other in various ways but who also hurt each other. The love story plays out in strange ways! Recommended reading!

This one sucked me in to this highly emotional series. This is the first of three volumes in this new series from Julie Ann Walker. It is VERY different from her Black Knights, Inc. series, so don’t dive in with expectations of a fast-paced action-packed romantic suspense. This is a very slow-paced book, introducing you to three estranged childhood friends. Volume one sets the stage and introduces you to the dynamic between the three main characters, Maggie, Cash and Luc. It’s angsty and emotional, so bring the tissues. I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

Absolutely love!!. Oh my goodness!! I can’t say enough about this series!! I finished it in two days. I just couldn’t put it down. Definitely a tear jerker. Love the story line and Maggie and Luc,Cash and Maggie, and all three of them together!!

In Moonlight and Memories by Julie Ann Walker. I have just finished reading Volume I AND the preview of Vol II. I can’t wait to be able to afford the rest of this series, and I don’t even know how many more books there are. This love affair of three people...the way you’ve written it...is so easily imagined. I love New Orleans...being from the South everyone with any desire for fun and living life to its fullest does. But the joys and the pain, the happiness and sorrows...all rolled into one book is simply astounding. You’re one hell of an author and I’m so glad I found this book. I’ve read lots of great books lately, but being a true romantic at heart, this one steps up and goes beyond all the others. You’ve written, in several places, words that have described my life to a T. Thanks for such a great trip to New Orleans and for introducing me to these people. I can’t help but dread the ending. Because of the words at the very start of this book. I hope, somehow, that they all find the love that will sustain them for the rest of their lives! I can’t wait to get the next book, Julie! But in the meantime, let the good times roll!

Excellent trilogy. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book since it is a departure for Julie Ann Walker from her Black Knights series but wow I was blown away by this book. Volume One is pretty much Luc and Cash coming back to New Orleans after being gone for 10 years and meeting up with the girl they both love, Maggie May. While Maggie and Cash dated, Luc was their best friend even though Luc loved Maggie in his own way too. This volume is the friends getting back together and trying to find the new normal for them. Cash is back with a horrible injury sustained in the war and he is trying to find his place now. Cash has a plan he is trying to follow (even though we don’t know his plan yet) and keep his pain at bay in the meantime. I have really enjoyed the relationship between Maggie, Cash and Luc. I am really looking forward to Volume 2 since Volume One ends in a cliffhanger. But luckily all 3 yes that is right all 3 volumes will be released on the same day!

Very Well Written. The storyline is great, and the details regarding New Orleans are accurate - which I don’t find often in fiction. The characters are all engaging and I found myself rooting for all of them, even when they had seemingly conflicting interests.

Not my style. Have loved Julie Ann Walkers other series. Not a fan of this style of writing, although it had a good premise for a story, it seemed to be as slow and muddy as the swamp. Cliffhanger killed it for me.

Must Read. This is a complicated, emotional & epic love story situated in New Orleans. Maggie & Luc have been best friends since childhood. Volumes 2 and 3 follow. These books are unlike anything Julie has ever written, but she has written a powerful & epic love story that demands to be read!
