Good read. Really keep me intrigued and guessing was worried about Murphy for a bit. The ending is kinda left up to how you’d have it end. I would recommend it for a good read JCCARTER

Immersive storytelling. The rich characters and descriptive scenes of the old New England town always provided a vivid image in my mind as I sailed through each chapter, especially during the Halloween festivities. I’m now invested in the lives of these characters and hope to read more in subsequent books.

Dark Hollows. Jacob Reese runs a coffee shop and a rents out a small cottage in a quaint New England town. After a young woman rents his cottage for a single evening, he finds his focus diverted from his normal activities by ghosts of his past. The approach of Halloween seems to give the ghost more energy. But is it a ghost or a remnant of his past that he has tried to bury deep in his memories. The novel starts out slow as Jacob focuses on the daily activities involved with keeping his businesses not just thriving but growing. Luckily, it begins to pick up as he remembers a pivotal moment in his past and weird occurrences plague him.

The ending…. Loved the whole book but hate the very ending. I wanted more.

Quick read with a suspense-filled narrative and an intriguing story. Dark Hollows is a mystery thriller set in a picturesque town in Vermont. Right off the bat, Frech does a fantastic job describing The Hollows and capturing the scenic beauty of New England. Jacob and Murphy’s relationship is heartwarming. The novel itself is a quick read with an engaging story. There is little emphasis on secondary characters, but it doesn’t seem to negatively affect the narrative. The ending can be polarizing since it is left open-ended but I personally didn’t mind it at all.

Read it now!. Dark Hollows is mesmerizing- I couldn’t put it down. This is a MUST read!

Can’t Put Downable!!. One of those rare books that grabs you on page one! You are annoyed by Jake’s choices, fall in love with Murphy and are immediately entangled with what is an unforgettable mystery. Loved every minute! Hope Steve French continues to write!!

Excellent. Steve Frech is a wonderful writer. I took a chance finding this and nightingale house in a bargain section and I devoured both books back to back. Engaging stories, wonderfully written, just too hard to put down. Looking forward to more from him.
