Liked it!. Gotta say, poor Micah reminds me of—well, me. Clueless about reading a woman’s signals! Really enjoyed the story, shorter than I expected but come to think of it I think it was billed as a short story, anyway really good stuff

Redhead by the Side of the Road. My first time reading an Anne Tyler book. Most of the way through it I kept wondering when the “story” was going to start, then realized there wasn’t a “story”, just a day in the life of everyone’s life. I ended up relating to so much of it and finished it with a smile on my face! I recommend this book!

Redhead by the Side of the Road. I love Anne Tyler’s books and this was very enjoyable. I like her descriptions of the people and the bits of humor she injects. I was truly surprised and disappointed when I reached the end, expecting that the sorry would go on much longer.

Too short. I can’t believe I paid $14 for a book that is really a couple of chapters. It is well written but a disappointment.

Redhead by the Side of the Road. I enjoyed the book, but this is a novella, not a novel. I don’t think I should have paid 14.00 for a book that is less than 200 pp. I am very disappointed. I don’t usually make it a habit of checking to see how many pp a book contains before I purchase it, but I guess I will from now on.

Almost perfect. Anne has a gift for writing about quotidiem life love her authentic characters. In this case, middle-aged Micah is trying to adjust and find his way in relationships, in an ever/changing world and confusing world. I usually love her books, as did my mother-proving that Tyler’s writing speaks to several generations. My only disappointment was regarding the thankfully brief insertions of politics. Some of us read fiction to escape the politics that have consumed sports, television, academi et al. Too bad she-or perhaps her publisher-felt it necessary. Nevertheless, I will always give her books a chance because she is a modern classic.
