The Boy from the Woods by Harlan Coben Book Summary

A man with a mysterious past must find a missing teenage girl in this shocking thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Run Away.

Thirty years ago, Wilde was found as a boy living feral in the woods, with no memory of his past. Now an adult, he still doesn't know where he comes from, and another child has gone missing.

No one seems to take Naomi Pine's disappearance seriously, not even her father—with one exception. Hester Crimstein, a television criminal attorney, knows through her grandson that Naomi was relentlessly bullied at school. Hester asks Wilde—with whom she shares a tragic connection—to use his unique skills to help find Naomi.

Wilde can't ignore an outcast in trouble, but in order to find Naomi he must venture back into the community where he has never fit in, a place where the powerful are protected even when they harbor secrets that could destroy the lives of millions . . . secrets that Wilde must uncover before it's too late.

Don’t. Reads like a really bad soap opera written by a high school class.

The Boy From the Woods. Good book, but, it left you hanging on a few unresolved issues.

Really great read with lots of twists and turns. Liked all the characters. But I was disappointed that an innocent man was never freed from jail. Spoiler alert

What a Ride!. When is it right to do the wrong thing? When is it wrong to do the right thing? These are the recurring questions that keep coming at you. Add to this 4 or 5 sub-plots and you have a great book! It’s been a long time since I read a book that keeps on throwing curves at you. All I can say is, “I didn’t see that coming.” I highly recommend this book.

Best book I’ve read in a while!. I was reading all the dystopian novels I could find and started to get bored of the same stories - this book came recommended and it did not disappoint- a great mystery with lots of twists.

The Boy From The Woods. Such a let down from a great writer. Ponderous plot chocked full of truly annoying characters. Wish I could have slapped a few of them around. Yuck!

The boy from the woods. Love most coben books and could accept the book ( though not nearly his usual faire) but the ending was very hard to swallow. May not be able to recommend it.

Great read. I enjoyed the book. It moved right along. I would have given it 5 stars but the ending was like a Jackie Collins romance novel. Not at all what I expected.

That’s so beautiful. This app has great effects and great features and creative great app great job can you please fix this and great game please please

Wilde is a fantastic character!. I loved this book. The center of the book is Wilde, a young boy who was found in the woods. Go forward to present day to a man who is one of the most conflicted characters I have read in a long time, yet he has a deep love for those around him not seen immediately, but drawn out as the story progresses. The plot of the story is slowly drawn out and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I strongly recommend this book and hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

Hard read. This book had so many storylines and plot twists it was hard to follow. It didn’t help that the author uses the same names for characters in a lot of his books, making it even harder to remember who’s who. I had to force myself to finish this one, I wanted to give up on it many times.

The Boy in The Woods. Riveting!

The Boy From the Woods. 2/5 stars. Very disappointed. Definitely would not recommend this book, even though the author is Coben.

Disappointed. Big fan and had high hopes, but can't recommend this book. Ridiculous storyline.

Twists and turns. Great page turner. So many twists coupled with characters you actually care about

Engaging. Great read, lots of twist and turns to the story plot, rated it 4 stars because I didn’t really like the ending, I felt the book was really good but the ending was a let down.

An engrossing WHO DONE IT MYSTERY!!. Well written with so many twists and turns it’s nearly impossible to get your mind settled on the possible conclusion and just when you think you’ve figured it out, Harlan Corbin does what he’s best at and throws his readers for a loop that keeps us reading voraciously until we reach the end. LOVE THIS AUTHOR! Awesome read

Good read. Not Cobens best stuff but it was a pretty good book. Interesting plot twist.

Amazing. It was one of the best books I have ever read

You’re not ready for this one.. If you’re a reader like myself who loves to sit on the edge of your seat throughout the entire read patiently waiting for a twist, read this immediately. I’m ordering it on paper to hold onto long term immediately.

Seamless read. Character development and ease of plot flow were excellent. Although characters were bigger than life they were not overblown. Looking for more by these authors now. Not my first read by him but anice rediscovery

The boy from the woods. I absolutely LOVED this book! I’m not much of a book person but I connected with this book in so many ways. I just finished it last night and I’m VERY upset I finished. Definitely buying more books from this author!

Couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t put this book down! So well written and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very ending.

Exciting, but plot too complex to follow. I enjoyed this book mainly because I had so many complexities in my own life while reading that I could put up with the pretty much indecipherable plot in the book. Harlan Cobden is capable of far better writing than in this book. Skip this, and instead read one of his really well written books.

Awesome. I started this book yesterday and finished it this evening. A total page-turner! I wasn’t familiar with Harlan Coben until I watched The Stranger on Netflix. That was a fantastic story, so I just wanted to read his books after that. I’m going to start another soon. I recommend this book! The story is great, but I do hope we hear again from some of the characters. Wilde and Hester deserve another book!

Good story line. The premise is good but not up to his usual standard. I think I’ve read everything he’s written and this is the only one that is a little weak. I’m going to keep reading him though.

Coben does it again!❤️. Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors, and this book does NOT disappoint.

Not his best...may be worst. This book a massive disappointment as I am a long time fan who has enjoyed nearly every book. This storyline is so beyond absurd it reads like a parody. Ridiculous premise and incredibly weak storyline and characters. ‘Wilde’ boy who raises himself in the woods of New Jersey? Seriously reads like a very bad parody. Please Harlan rebound from this disappointment.

The Boy from the Woods. Laughable...want a refund

This is one of the best. Like a fine wine Cohen just keeps getting better. I must admit I am a big fan of all his books, this one is definitely one of his best. You will not be able to put it down and is a real page turner. If iyou have read Some of his early works you’ll even see a few mentions of his earlier characters, but they are there. I know it is a big request but please try to write a little faster I think we all love your book. Thanks for making reading So pleasurable.

Boy from the Woods. Interesting story with a bit of a twist.
