Emergence of a Giant. I’ve been using Apple Watches since 2015. Before buying an Apple Watch, I had 15 different watches that did less than 15 different functions. After buying my first series, I realized that I did not need more that half my collection because I could do more than 50 functions that other watches could not do combined. My life and business have never been so organized, informed and rewarding like after I incorporated the Apple Watch. Surrounded by water here in Bermuda I split time between work recreational diving and long distance running/walking. Apple Watch Ultra came as a surprise to me honestly, and I immediately purchased one with no regrets. The first day I went diving I was like “What!” The diving computer initiated diving management immediately with this bright screen and without prompt. I normally do GPS tracked 200-300km Nike Running Club challenges and I kid you not, I used to carry around a battery charger and booster pack to boost my Apple Watch 7 as the battery depleted in just over 4 hours of my six daily walking/running max. But with my ultra I’ve done three 5 hour tracked challenges straight and still bring a good bit of charge home and even put in a morning 5mile jog without charging. If you feed from the Apple ecosystem, an Apple Watch should be included in your herd.

A MUUSSTT REEAAAD!!!. Apple scores a home run with this book! While Appld has always prides itself on the simplicity of is devices offerings, there are many features of the Apple watch which were not obvious to me even as a programmer and someone who is tech savvy in general. This guide blows my mind. It makes the watch so much more ideal and simpler to use in a variety of real world applications. I only have a series 3 (which I guess at this point is an older model since the series 5 is now or paired with an iPhone 6S) but man, this is such a useful guide. Apply bookmarks liberally!

Lack of a Printable Manual is INSANE!. How can you not offer a printable manual?!?! I know it may be viewed as a little old school to actually use real paper anymore, but there are different styles of learning. Not everyone (even young people) can completely grasp new concepts by only seeing them on a screen. What about individuals who have a physical or mental disability ?!?! I understand Apple wanting to keep their information proprietary, but this is absolutely RIDICULOUS! I have had many Apple devices over the years. I’ve been able to figure most things out on my own or with a quick Google search. But the Apple Watch Series 5 is just not as intuitive as my other devices. This is a major disappointment as it is now going to take me 3x longer to actually read through this manual in Apple Books. I WANT A HARD COPY!!!! Epic fail.
