Another Winner!!. The best book of 2020 so far for me! I actually lost sleep with this one, I couldn’t put it down. We could all use a little push from someone that knows us to our soul and these two friend do just that. Mallery is a master at emotional growth in her stories. As one learns she can make or break her own rules for her adult life another learns to let go of deep grief and sadness. They each find their happy in a story that flows in a way you don’t want to stop reading. Highly recommended!!

Sometimes friendship is a one way street. “There were times when friendship was a two-way street and times when it went only one way.” This is my favorite quote of the book. It reminded me that sometimes we have to put away our thoughts or feelings for a moment to let a great friend get theirs out. Especially now. We are all experiencing new, different, and difficult times that none of us expected. Sometimes we just have to listen and support. I think Susan captured this perfectly. Ellen and unity are both in crossroads at their lives that both are scared to cross. They decide to make a list and help support each other in ticking those accomplishments off their list. I’ve always loved lists and feel accomplished when being able to make a big check beside a challenge on the list. Unity and Ellen both feel this way as well. Each check mark that is made helps them to push themselves for the next one. Learning and growing together! Susan Mallery always captures amazing characters that draw you in and have you wishing the best for them while also hoping the book doesn’t end! This great summer read is no different!

Great read. Another hit! A great summertime read about friendship, love and laughter. Makes you want to start living and taking chances.

Complicated. Two friends struggle to overcome past pain and loss so they can move forward

The Friendship List. In The Friendship List, Susan Mallery works her magic with humor and emotions again. She tells a story of two best friends who need changes in their lives. Ellen and Unity encourage each other so that they are able fulfill the items on their lists and start living their lives. This was a great summer read.

The friendship list, fun, friends, family all in one summer. The friendship list... two 30 something year old best friends realize they’re both stuck in ruts and they challenge each other to make a “to do” list..things they wouldn’t dare do without a push and a dare.. It pushes each one out of her comfort zone and in the meantime find themselves and even love,..love for themselves and who they are as women, friends, family. Mixing in handsome men who offer to help them with their lists. Let the summer begin… It’s a wonderful story of friendship, family and love.

Sweetest story of two friends who’ve lost their way. Two childhood friends both find themselves in their 30s without the husbands or the life in which they had envisioned. The make a list and both start following the things that challenge them and lead them both out of their introversion and low esteem

Couldn’t get through the first chapter.. Um gross. I don’t know any parents that actually talk to their daughters like this. The writing is boring and trying way too hard.

Great story but not without frustrations. Unity and Ellen have a long history together. They are old and dear friends who support each other through both a teen pregnancy as well as young widowhood. They aren’t afraid to be honest with the other, but they each have problems being honest with themselves. Each is a sympathetic character, but they are both frustrating women as well. Once they decide to make “life lists”, their journeys to pull themselves out of their ruts start out strong...but one of them definitely drags her feet. I’m trying not to reveal any spoilers, so you’ll need to read their story yourself! I will say I really loved how Mallery wrote all the characters, but especially those so-called secondary characters...Keith and Thaddeus, the women’s potential love interests, Keith’s daughter Lissa, Ellen’s son Luca and a few others. In actuality, I enjoyed them more so than Ellen and Unity! Frankly, I have this issue a lot with books that bend more towards women’s fiction than romance, which is my main reading genre. That all said, I would definitely recommend this book to readers of all genres. Ms. Mallery’s easy writing style made this a couldn’t-put-down story for this voracious reader.

Feel good read.. Such a feel good read. This excellent story wraps itself around two close friends and their struggle to find their happiness. There are sad, heart felt places that make the reader hurt for each. Truly a pleasure to read. Add to the top of your TBR list.

Beautiful Story. I loved The Friendship List. Just absolutely adored the whole story. I think so many can relate to this story & it makes you (at least it did for me) do some soul searching. It's a story about friendship, & family, & just embracing every bit of life that you can. Another amazing story from Susan Mallery I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

So many choices. Wow. What a read. Susan Mallery always makes me find love and life so much more interesting. This is one of her women’s fiction books that makes you look at life, choices and relationships in different lights.

Awesome summer read. I have to see this is one of my fav Susan Mallery books yet. Although it’s romance it’s way more than that. It’s about growing as a person, overcoming obstacles and learning to just live. Two best friends help each other overcome situations in their lives that made them closed off. Yes there is romance but sisterhood is very present. Definitely a must read.
