I can’t decide if I like Dani but I love the story. I don’t know why I found Dani so off putting, My opinion of her fluctuated while I was reading. I found her relatable on a minimal level, witty, but also a little cruel. I also couldn’t really get a good grip of her personality, she was a drastic portal of the independent, sassy, no nonsense black woman one chapter, but then this kind of soft cinnamon roll the next. As a black wo a I actually connected more with Zaf, I relegated to his feelings of rejections by Dani more than i related to Dani’s need to protect herself from love. I almost wish their personalities were flipped: Dani as a black woman wants that “happily ever after” after having been hurt so much in the past. The reason i called her cruel was because in the beginning she faulted her partner Jo for “catching feelings” because they had had some agreement in the beginning. I thought that was a tiny bit heartless, to completely reject someone’s love for you and then blame them for it. Anyway i’m rambling. However all in all I loved the story, loved how the author made a point to describe Dani as a thicker woman who’s a witch, and she’s Bi which I thought was a great dimension to her character. Great read would recommend. Zafir’s grief and anxiety is so heartbreakingly related and well flushed out.

Super Fun Diverse Romance. Grab this right now!! Seriously, go get your copy! Not only is TAKE A HINT, DANI BROWN funny, witty, well written, and has a super cute cover, but Zaf is so effortlessly sexy, that I fell head over heels in love with him! He lit me on fire and had me melting into a puddle! Yup, all at once! He’s that good! Dani is my spirit animal...right down to her zodiac sign! She’s phenomenal and hilarious. The total embodiment of an amazing friend and epic love interest. She certainly kept Zaf on his toes with her antics. I adored her! The trope is one of my faves. The writing is beyond fantastic. It’s emotive and flawless. This book freaking rocked! I absolutely love this series! I’m completely and totally obsessed with this series. I want more right now!! Seriously, if you’re looking for a read that literally has it all: Amazing writing Well developed characters Entertaining plot Flawless execution with some laugh out moments seamlessly woven into the dialogue Look no further. This is the book for you! Highly recommended!

If you like romance. I loved the fact that Dani and Zaf are so uniquely them meaning not cookie cutter protagonists. Love reading black women falling in love as well. Definitely cheesy at time but still worth the read. Honestly the banter between Dani and Zaf are probably the best parts.

Book 2 of the Brown sisters!. While I was absolutely in love with Chloe Brown, book 1, it was for biased reasons due to her and I both having chronic illnesses. Yet, I still am such a fan of the sardonic and witty humor that is written throughout the authors series of Brown sisters and I adored Dani and her fear of being hurt by another man. Her pretend and then real relationship with Zaf was so poignant and resonates with anyone who’s been hurt and has found the right person who is steady reliable and compassionate and loves you for everything you are. Perfect ending I rooted for those 2 the entire book. Cannot wait for # 3 EVIE’S story!

Amazing. This book is amazing. Not too much drama and a lot of cuteness, I love it.

Must Read!. Talia Hibbert dazzles once again with the second installment of her Brown Sisters series. Sweet, witty, and tenderly poignant, “Take a Hint, Dani Brown” follows a steamy fake relationship between Danika and Zafir. The banter between these two is electirc! It’s such a fun read that you’ll breeze right through it, and then lament that it’s over. Can’t wait for the next one.

Zaf is perfect ❤️. I loved everything about this book. I really connected with Dani and her insecurities. Very relatable. Zaf was perfect in every way, especially for Dani. I love how he worked through his anxiety and pushed himself to take chances and opportunities for his career and with love. Overall, great book and my favorite in the series.

Laughed. I have never laughed so much as I did while reading this romance laugh it was so good the scenes were tasteful they had great Joe jokes and dialogue and it wasn’t her talking in her head all the time I hate that there was actual conversation happening and moments in the book loved it oh and I read all three I kind of want there to be a fourth book but I don’t know how she could swing that
