Gemma turns to the police. She is horrified by what she discovers – a serial killer is on the loose in Bristol. When she sees photos of the victims she is even more stunned…they all look just like Danny.

Who would you believe?
But the police are suspicious. Why has no one apart from Gemma heard from Danny in weeks? Why is there barely a trace of him in their flat? Is she telling them the truth, or is this marriage hiding some very dark secrets?

CKniseley. If there were 6 stars, that would be my rating. Best thing I’ve read during Covid pandemic. I don’t usually write reviews but this is equal to Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train.

Very good book.. Started slow, but, it’s a page turner!

Overall a good read. Starts off interesting and unpredictable but I was not a fan of the ending, felt incomplete

Really liked it, slightly predictable. Really liked it! Slightly predictable

Perfect. A page burner Smooth reading with unexpected twists and turns that keep you intrigued thru to the end... Very well done ....

Just like Hitchcock!. Liked all the characters. All the doubt in each one the author lets slip through. Creepy and agonizing. In other words …… perfect for me.

Predictable. This book was very predictable and it took too long to the resolution and conclusion. Do waste your time.

Great read!. This was a real page turner for me. I read it very fast, about a week I’d say. I loved the writing style and how one chapter was in first person then the next was in third. Ending was surprisingly good, given the story was somewhat over with earlier on. The ending was a bit abrupt but this could definitely have a potential sequel in the future. All in all it was a fantastic book and I couldn’t put it down!

A slow paced mystery. I sometimes wonder if I am reading too many books at once from the same genre as they sort of blend into each other. This is a reasonable mystery type read, but at times a little slow for me, but as I have said before I now realise I do enjoy a faster paced read, that just keeps me engaged from start to finish. Gemma is happily married, they have just moved to a new house in a new city because of her husbands job. Gemma’s life is perfect. She is a freelance journalist which she loves doing, but it occasionally means she has to work away from home. After being away for the weekend for work Danny has promised to welcome her home with a home cooked dinner. But when she gets home there is no home cooked meal, and more importantly no Danny. Where is he? Time goes by and no word from Danny, Gemma goes through all the emotions, confusion, anger, fear, sadness. How perfect is their marriage? Gemma then learns that there is a serial killer on the loose, who is killing men who look like Danny, The story keeps you guessing until the end, which I didn’t guess. With a mix of twists and turns we now come to expect in these stories. There were a few bits left hanging, does this mean there will be a second book? I would like to thank #netgalley and #OneMoreChapter for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest, fair and unbiased review.

Page Turner. I started this book and couldn’t put it down. It’s full of twists and turns that keep you gripped and turning pages to find out more.

Great read. Loved it

Gripping. Brilliant read - hard to put down.

Good story. Interesting, compelling, good few twists, light read without being the thriller of the year. One to read, enjoy but doesn’t quite get 5/5.

Irritating Ending. This was ok, lots of twists and turns, but for me the last chapter was such a let down.

A thrilling read. I absolutely loved Jackie’s last book Am I Guilty and I had been waiting impatiently to see what she would come up with next. I am pleased to say that The Perfect Couple was worth the wait and another example of just how talented an author Jackie is. “The Perfect Couple… Or the perfect lie?” Jackie. has created a thrilling and twisted read that had me racing through the pages to see how it was all going to unfold. I had absolutely no idea where this was headed and I was so engrossed that I had trouble tearing myself away. When I did get to the outcome, it was completely unexpected and a jaw-dropping moment. Well played Jackie… Well played! Jackie has done a great job with the characters in this story. I particularly enjoyed the characters of DCI Helena Dickens and DS Devon Clarke. Their working chemistry was great and I would love to see them again featured in another of Jackie’s books. Gemma was an intriguing character and she was brought to life through the pages extremely well. I liked how I was kept second-guessing her throughout the story. With each book, Jackie just keeps outdoing herself. I love her writing, which is so engaging and she really knows her way around the psychological thriller genre, which makes her such an asset to it. I will now be awaiting with anticipation for her next book and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. The Perfect Couple is a highly addictive and compelling read. With a twisted and mysterious plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat, well-developed characters that are believable and writing that is so engaging, it is like you also are part of the story, I thoroughly recommend you read this book. It has been an absolute pleasure to be able to read and review The Perfect Couple.

Brilliant!. Kept me hooked until the very end. Great read!
