The Rivals. I don’t usually write reviews but I have read several of your books and this one, as with the others, didn’t disappoint. Couldn’t put it down. I like the emotional and physical connection. The sexual chemistry was there but didn’t overtake the emotional involvement the two characters have. Weston gave up a lot to be with Sophia. Thank you. I will keep reading!

From Weston’s misquotes of Shakespeare to Sophia’s “allergy” to blackberry ripple dahlias, this book will capture your heart with all its hidden gems! I loved the shout out to classic songs such as “Honesty” by Billy Joel and “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. Even though their families have made them rivals, these two are destined to be so much more. The same woman, Grace, who started the feud will have her part in bringing them back together! 5 amazing stars

Another winner from Vi Keeland!. NO SPOILERS! Vi Keeland never disappoints! The Rivals was a super sexy [read: dirty ;)], swoony, funny, and entertaining standalone contemporary romance that kept me riveted from beginning to end, and I absolutely loved Weston and Sophia’s story. The unique storyline and lovable characters were phenomenal, and I loved Keeland’s simple and seemingly effortless prose. Her romances are always a pleasure to read, and she never fails to wow me every single time. Weston and Sophia were amazing, especially Weston, and I adored them with all my heart. They were so incredibly special, and I loved watching their story unfold. Weston and Sophia’s romantic journey definitely wasn’t easy, but everything was totally worth it in the end and I was ecstatic with the conclusion. The Rivals was another winner from Vi Keeland and a definite MUST READ standalone contemporary romance you don’t want to miss!

Review: The Rivals. The Rivals by Vi Keeland is a standalone contemporary romance novel filled with passionate enemies-to-lovers vibes and a classy hotel, business rivalry and competitive spirit. Weston Lockwood & Sophia Sterling are the next generation for their families respective hotel corporations. Brought together to takeover The Countess, a hotel that has history with both their families, they have been tasked to run it together while their respective corporations put together bids to purchase the remaining stock to make one of them the majority shareholder. Too bad they are bitter enemies and have no qualms about playing dirty to win, until they realize that the dirty doesn't have to be only for the boardroom, the chemistry they have is scorching enough to burn up the bed sheets. Can these two get out of their own way long enough to realize the treasure they have in each other or will family history repeat itself again. Loved it! Enjoy!

Oh. My. Gosh. Sooooo good!. All. The. Stars. The Rivals is the incredible new stand-alone by Vi Keeland. There are no words to adequately describe how amazing this book truly was. It is hands down Ms. Keeland’s best book to date. It was hot, charming, witty, and had unforgettable characters. Weston Lockwood stole my heart from the first cocky sentence he said. He is everything you want in a book boyfriend-successful, totally alpha, and completely charming. Then throw in an amazing heroine-I WAS DONE FOR. Sophia was Weston’s perfect counterpart in every way. Together, their chemistry was off the charts. I seriously could not put this book down for anything. If you read one book this year-this has to be it!!

The Rivals. Formulaic and stilted ... amateurish at best

Now that’s a really Love/Hate story!. It was pretty steamy, hot and spicy story! Talk about a really hot and steam love/hate chemistry between two people who couldn’t stand the sight of each other but couldn’t keep their hands off each other, literally!!!!

Perfect enemies to lovers story!. Sophia and Weston are sworn enemies because of a love triangle that envolved both of their grandfathers decades ago. Now they are forced to work together as heirs to a hotel, and the controlling share of the hotel is up for bids. Secrets will be kept and heart will be broken, but how far are they willing to go for family approval? I was hooked from the very beginning. Sophia is a strong woman that has just had her heartbroken and Weston is trying to rise up from past mistakes. I love that a vulnerable side is shown in Weston at times, while still maintaining the playboy alpha male persona. I was entertained with the plot twists and the writing style evoked each emotion perfectly. Weston and Sophia have a smoldering hot love-hate relationship and I loved every minute of it.

Absolutely Fantastic!!. From the first word to the last I was positively captivated by this book! Doesn't surprise me though since Vi Keeland's books always seem to do that to me! I honestly loved everything about it: from the actual storyline and how things played out, to Weston and Sophia and all the facets of their personalities and their interactions especially!!! They are both such complex and very likable characters. I mean who doesn't love a good old fashioned enemies to lovers story? Sophia and Weston's families are both in the hotel business and have been enemies for years. Little did they know they would find themselves the pawns for their families pitted against each other on the battlefield over control of a hotel both families are invested in. Weston and Sophia love/live to hate each other and it is strangely incredibly hot! Their chemistry is sizzling and their banter is so entertaining. There is so much more going on with both of them than meets the eye especially with Weston and I love that they allow themselves to get to know each other. With each new thing I learned about Weston, I fell even harder for him!! Obviously being enemies lends a certain amount of trouble to a relationship but in the end we definitely get the HEA we are all dying for!! Another 5 star read for me!!

Amazing. This story definitely started out with a bang! And I loved every single word of it. You’ll be sucked into this rivalry and the heat will keep you glued to the pages until The End. Why was their hate so swoony and hot!?! I hated putting this down to go about that pesky “life” thing every now and then. I was consumed by these characters and how their chemistry sizzled off the pages and seared into my soul. This is not a story I’ll forget. These characters are a forever type of amazing that will definitely stick with you. Weston is everything you’ll ever need from a hero. I hope Scarlet gets a story, she’s delightful! Re-read worthy, but that’s expected from Vi. A real must read and one of my all time favorite enemy to lovers book to date!

Fantastic read!. Wow! I absolutely loved this enemies to lovers storyline. The chemistry between Weston and Sophia is electric and charges from the beginning. Their fun and flirty banter will keep you hooked until the end. Weston will hook line and sink you. I absolutely adored him and loved the strong and sassy Sophia. Their story will have you laugh, swoon and possibly tear up rooting for their happily ever after. Most definitely worth the read!

Fire!. This is the third book from Vi I’ve read. I think they keep getting better. I loved these characters and their story. I love how I felt their highs and lows. It was romantic in an unconventional way. Great read!

Another Vi Stunner. What an amazing story Ms Keeland has spun....again! With Shakespeare quotes and misquotes, it's a fascinating tale of a modern day Romeo and Juliet. But, unlike the Bard's ill fated lovers, I got my much anticipated HEA that made my day. Thank you Vi.

The Rivals. It was hard for me to like Weston and their relationship.

It grew on me. At first, I wasn't sure but the further I read the more I enjoyed it. I am glad it ended how it did. Weston was a victim of his family and needed to be loved and Fifi did that.

Enemies to Lovers at its finest!!🔥❤️. Omg!! This is enemies to lovers at its finest!! This is my favorite trope so when I read the blurb I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book! Vi doesn’t disappoint! You can feel the intensity between Sophia and Weston from the first scene on the plane!! And it only got hotter from there!! I absolutely loved everything about this book!! It’s super hot mixed with a little bit of humor and sweetness! 5+stars all the way!

Wildly Rich and Satisfying. Fueled my Desire 🔥 Top Read of 2020 for Me!. Whew. This book was utterly satisfying in EVERY WAY. So blissfully passionate and delightfully witty. Lush and Romantic. Searingly addicting and sexy. The feels ignite your heart with every turn of the page. The ending will make you spout tears of happiness. Sophia is my favorite heroine of Vi’s! I found myself cheering her compulsively sarcastic and foul mouth on. Her sass and spice brought continuous laughs and smiles of endearment from me.....and Weston. Hello hotness with a heart full of gracefully falling in love. Weston. This man provides endless entertainment. He is compelling in his sweetness....following Sophia around with the butterflies of a first crush. His easy smiles and giving nature make him beautifully broken with hidden sadness. I loved seeing his character growth and his ability to find strength when everything was on the line. Such a gallant and giving male lead with more strength than he realizes. When he falls, he delves deep and doesn’t come up for air until he can breathe fully without device. I endured his and Sophia’s journey without any push. I loved it so much. The premise really struck me, and I loved every moment. I just as unsure how the story would play out, and unsurprisingly the entirety of the book was just as stunning as expected from this author. This book is a top read of 2020 for me, and I’m so thankful to have read it! I needed their love more than I knew.

The Rivals. A good storyline.

Breathtaking!. Words will fail to describe how I feel about this piece of art! If I must use a number it would be 100000/10. I was taken on a journey through love, hate and a lot of passion. My heart was ripped out and placed back in my chest a couple dozen times. I hate that it had to end. Definitely re-reading this one!

Ticked all my boxes. If you love enemies to lovers look no further than Weston Lockwood and Sophia Stirling’s story in The Rivals, this book is everything you would expect in a great read and it ticked all my boxes. Weston and Sophia have known each other since childhood but as their families were sworn enemies it seemed they should be too but when The Countess hotel is left to both the Stirling’s and the Lockwood’s they need to find a way to work together or at least get along....... As Sophia and Weston spend time working through the day to day running of The Countess the hate they feel for each other turns into passion and I mean intense hot as sin passion and what follows is 2 enemies learning to trust each other as they put their family feud behind them, the only problem is will the families allow them to get past the feuding that goes back to their grandfathers...... This book captivated me from the first page to the last line, the chemistry is sizzling and the banter witty but it’s the vulnerability that this couple share as they really get to know each other that took this story to another level, this book touched me on so many levels. I loved this entertaining,emotional read and I highly recommend this gem. This book will certainly be on my list of top reads of 2020.

An epic enemies to lovers story!. If you ever want to read an epic enemies to lovers story where the sizzling chemistry is off the charts, then this is THE BOOK to read!! There is so much to love about a story where the characters Sophia and Weston deal with their anger in a very steamy way!!!! Talk about hot under the collar!!! This book was delicious! It was entertaining, intriguing and with fantastic banter a definite highlight of my week! Sophia and Weston are part of rival families and now stuck in the hotel they co own with their respective families breathing down their necks! I loved both of them! Sophia with her determination and Weston with his strength to overcome his life choices! Can they open up to each other and show their vulnerabilities? Can these two get along long enough to win the hotel for their family?? Or does anger and attraction get the better of them? So flipping good!!

Fantastic read. What a book! Weston is just divine, if not slightly arrogant and Sophia is determined and strong, a perfect combination for a fantastic, hot story! Did I mention hot? Yes? Ok good coz you’ll be fanning yourself reading this one! There isn’t a book by this author that I haven’t loved so I’ll add this to the “books I adore” list! Just perfect!

Highly recommend. I was hooked within the first few pages and couldn’t put it down. This was my first Vi Keeland book. I loved her writing and really enjoyed the story. It was a great read and I highly recommend.

Starts as an age old war between families with the woman in the middle but it quickly becomes a well crafted walk through the past into a new future. Weston a recovering alcoholic, born to “save his sister” sick with leukemia... fails that and he feels everything else too. The hotel magnate families square off to take over “The Countess” hotel with Sophia and Weston as the pawns. The grandfathers and parents still entrenched to beat the other our two stars fall for each other...but the story is captivatingly sexy and unravels the secrets and the trust issues both Sophia & Weston have to prove their importance to their bitter families. I loved Weston, he was so sexy and gradually finding his way to Sophia. A bidding war to win the hotel cannot go smoothly and the ending gives you the happily ever after you hope for.

Two powerful rival families at war, a love/hate relationship between the daughter and son, and hot undeniable chemistry! This book will have you laughing out loud the whole time, while also being in your feels! Lol it’s sexy, angsty and delightful! I loved it!
