Charming and delightful. Carried Away by P. Dangelico a charming slow burning story about finding someone you were never looking for but may just be perfect for you. Carrie is back home but not because she wants to be. This is a temporary stop before getting her life back in order. Jake is surly and trying to hide. Then he meets Carrie. They are slowly getting to know each other and finding something there. Though he was a bit grouchy at the start, we got to see a different side of him as well. Carrie is positive and happy. I loved their story. It was sweet and delightful. Happy reading!

No. Definitely worse than her earlier books I have read

Loved!. How this author always gives the unexpected, I’ll never know! I adore that her books are full of not just heartfelt emotions and love, bit there are always mistakes and redemption that are so well written that it makes you fall even deeper in love with the characters than you can imagine. A must read!

Fall in love with a grumpy hero. Carrie is/was a reporter. She was fired within the first couple of paragraphs. She finds herself moving back home. For her it’s a temporary move. She is a someone that will grown on you. Her character does a lot of growing before the conclusion. As a reporter she was o my thinking of the story. The truth must be told no matter the cost. Jake saves her life when she gets caught in a snow storm. He is a retired hockey player with a gruff exterior but a soft heart. He had secrets that he keeps under lock and key. They do not get along and there is a lot of witty dialogue. Each meeting between the two knocks off a little bit of dislike and reveals a lot of attraction. They both have trust issues and easily fall into the hurts of the past. The story is told from Carrie’s point of view but we get a clear idea of James’s feelings as they grow. Fun story with some emotional scenes. Nice epilogue to close out.

Must read. Favorite author and such an amazing read

Great love story!. This was such a good book. I had trouble putting it down. I wasn’t sure I would like it in the beginning, but as soon as Carrie meets Jake, I was hooked. I love a good love story with characters that have depth, throw angst into the mix and I’m all in. I absolutely loved their story!

Captivating Read. 4.5 Stars for Carried Away This is the first book I have read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last, after reading Carried Away I’m struggling to understand why Ms P. Dangelico has not crossed my radar before now. Carrie Anderson and Jake Turner’s story captivated me from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final line, it’s a story with the perfect mix of drama and romance, it’s has just enough laugh out loud moments to leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat and just enough angst to keep you on the edge of your seat so all in all a perfect read. Carrie is back in her hometown after losing her job and she finds herself working at the family B&B but her heart isn’t there and she finds herself focused on getting over this bump in the road and finding a way back to LA. Jake Turner is a professional hockey player who has spent to much time in the limelight and all he wants is some peace and quiet and just be allowed to be him without a camera in his face.... The attraction is instant and sparks fly from the moment Jake and Carrie meet but will that be enough for this couple to find their HEA. This is one of those stories that draws you in and you have to peel back the characters layers to really get to know them, I found myself on the edge of my seat hoping for the outcome I wanted for a couple I really liked. An entertaining read that I highly recommend.

So good. P Dangelico is a relatively new author to me and as with the previous book I read from start to finish she drew me in and captivated me with Carrie Anderson and Jake Turner’s story. The writing was strong and this book was well written with characters that were easy to relate to and you couldn’t help but fall for. Carrie has returned to her hometown after losing her dream job? But was it? Forced to work at the family bed and breakfast she is focused in getting back to LA as fast as she can. Jake on the other hand has been in the public eye since he was 19, a professional hockey player, but now all he wants now is to disappear. When Jake and Carrie meet, sparks will fly and the chemistry will build until it until it is too hard to deny. There is so much more to Jake than what people think and that added layer brought more depth to the story. I really loved Carrie and Jake, separately and together. There was drama, some angst, romance and humour and the banter between Carrie and Jake lead to some laugh out loud moments that had me smiling. I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between them .
