1984. I had somehow never read this book back when. It is still a great read. Powerful and eerily relevant today.

Absolute Masterpiece. After the year we’ve had with 2020 you’d be mistaken for thinking that this is a future historical drama based on the Covid restrictions, however it is a fantastic look into what could happen when the government over extends its control of every aspect of an individual’s life to the point where they control history, speech and thought. Some would say the dystopian world of the socialist state is a dream come true for some political leaders on the far left and others would conclude its a nightmarish scene of absolute control. Either way you look at it there is no denying that it is brilliantly written, the undertone of absolute fear of being caught is always present even as our storyteller is growing in confidence. A must read for anyone who loves the alternate history genre.
