No focus. The author tried to put too much into the story instead of just focusing on character development and a solid story line. Sometimes simple is better. Not worse book I’ve read, the author needs a better editor.

Contradicting and 2D. This book (although an overdone concept) looked really cute. However the characters weren’t very flushed out and the story fell flat due to it not being much of a story at all. The number one issue however was the contradicting statements in the book. From small stuff like her wearing a dress one minute and a tank top the next and they just got worse from there. Also I kept thinking I was messing up and switching pages on accident because I kept reading literal paragraphs over again, but nope they were simply used multiple times word for word. Would not recommend.

Great read if. Easy to like characters especially grandma and the story moves at a decent pace. Only downside is that the book is screaming to be edited for misuse of words and corrections of pronouns.

Awful. High school level writing. Every cliche in the book. Stilted and conflicting dialogue. There’s no way this book was edited. Couldn’t finish even though it was free.

Exes and Goals. This was a really good book. It builds the characters and takes you on a journey through Harpers decisions and why she makes them….

Easy read. Very easy read. No cliffhanger. HEA. However, I have it 3 stars because the Bryan drama was leading up to something big and fell very short. After that the story seemed rushed.

4 stars. Sweet and sexy. Courageous female lead, and strong supporting female characters.

Not a bad first book, but.... Is in need of an editor who can catch all the inconsistencies, particularly in the timeline, that cause the reader to have difficulty suspending disbelief. For anyone who has lived in coastal SoCal, there were aspects that didn’t ring true, such as the main character needing to wear long-sleeved thermal underwear to bed in September.

Terrible juvenile writing. So much whining and fake drama. Poor grammar in places that make no sense. I couldn’t even finish it. It was one of the worst books I have read. Save your money and time.

Boring. Seriously, I barely made it 35 pages in and I give up. Who calls their grandma by her whole name (first + last)??? Slow. Boring. I give up.

Hard to read as unbelievable. Book was fine until you get to her ex issues as her actions are just dumb/unbelievable. 1 Zack was never formally charged so it won’t show up on his record. 2. Before charging him they would have questioned her as it occurred in her apartment with her present 3. Due to history and expired restraining order they would have been questioning why ex was even there. 4. Second time ex came to her door - just don’t by that a victim would open the door and put herself at risk when there is no one present. My list goes on and on. Just made the ending to hard to read as just wasn’t realistic.

Disappointing. Difficult to read, I couldn’t actually finish the book. Threads in the storyline changed, for example the main character says in the beginning of the book she’s been broken up with her ex for 8 months. She then later talks about being a victim of DV with said ex and didn’t see him for the year the restraining order was in place. After the restraining order was over he started showing up at places. It’s like the author (or maybe the editor) decided it required a little more for the story and therefore decided to beef it up a bit. There have been other inconsistencies in the book making it difficult to trust the story.

Good story. Nice balanced story. Always better when there’s a sportsmen involved.

Couldn’t get through it. An author who writes in the goalie as Captain doesn’t know hockey and the rest of the book is just as plausible.

I don’t like “pick me” girls. I am all for girls liking things that are traditionally for boys but I hate bringing women down for liking things because they aren’t “traditional” it’s gross...chapter three the main female talks down to girls who like DANCING. Also I don’t think she understands hockey well which is kind of annoying as a fan...
