Love a sexy Brit!!. This is the second book in the On My Own series. It’s Pacey’s book 😍. I’ve got a bit of a crush on him, the whole sexy Brit thing. But as we find out, there’s so much more to him. As Mackenzie finds out. After walking in on a not pleasant sight (her ex with another woman), Pacey helps her to hold her head up, move on and keep going. And boy he makes that easier. They go through some rough times during the semester, but in the end they fight through together. I can’t wait to read the next roommates book!

Friends to lovers must read!. After that ending from the last book we have the continuation of Mackenzie’s story in this newest release that doesn’t disappoint. Pacey’s character is so swoon worthy, with his British accent and carefree way, no woman stands a chance with his charming ways. He gives Mackenzie a idea that turns out to be more than they expect. What happens when emotions and chemistry grows to so much more than the rebound? You need to one click to find out and trust me you won’t be disappointed.

This is what real life is like. Plans very rarely come to fruition as made. And Mackenzie finds this out the hard way. When her personal life implodes she accepts a rebound/support relationship with Pacey. Then when her college plans are ripped away she has him to help her figure things out. But they’re just friends, with benefits? Pacey is carrying secrets, true they’re just about him, shouldn’t he share with the people who care about him? As this tale is expounded from both POVs I could feel their feelings, remember the stresses of becoming adult, attempting to mold your life into the future you want, trying to control something that you can’t control. This is a buddy story, a falling in love story, a coming of age story, and a sexy poignant read.

Wow. I was unprepared for this couple. Mackenzie was blind sided by Sander, she didn't get the internship she expected and her world was blowing up around her. Pacey appears to have it together and wants to be a friend to her. When the two got together and it was so much more than they both expected and then we get to see inside Pacey's world. I loved how this story played out because it was so unexpected and then for the shooting......... WOW just WOW!!!

Amazing Read. This book was amazing I absolutely loved Pacey ! The chemistry between Pasey and Mackenzie just perfect . McKenzie had a plan for her life she did her homework did her research and had everything written down from A-to-Z. Than life like always those curveballs and she just got the biggest one of all. Heartbroken & a little unsure she decides to she needs a rebound to help get her though! Pacey smart funny and very sexy offers to be her rebound and friend . What he didn’t think would happen was the feelings she brings out in him and can she trust and learn to love again ? This is the second book in The On My Own Series and it is definitely a great read !!!

Mackenzie & Pacey. On the heels of “My One Night” we pickup with our co-eds Mackenzie and Tanner. Their “friends first” mantra while Mackenzie is trying to pickup and replan her planned out life repeatedly stands in the way of these two. They are also dealing with a lot of college pressures (grades/classes/internship), personal problems (new living arrangements for both groups, major life changes for Tanner) and relationship baggage. This story was a good read for character development, but this book seems to be lighter on the heat than other CA books, but when it’s steamy…it’s HOT. Overall 4.5/5

Second instalment in this great college series. This was another great instalment in the On My Own series, getting to know the characters more and their interactions and connections. Mackenzie we know as she was dating one of the boys roommates, but since that blew up... she is looking for a rebound to be able to move on. Pacey knows Mackenzie from the house and considers her a friend... and aren’t you supposed to help friends!? This is an enjoyable instalment in these college set, coming of age, romance adventures. The stories are building in depth and intrigue as we get to know all the characters better, making a richer story and making you impatient to find out more and get the next instalment! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

OMG love Pacey and Mackenzie. Book 2 in On My Own series by Carrie Ann Ryan Mackenzie is devastated in previous book when she finds her boyfriend cheating on her. Mackenzie knows they guys in the house because she was dating a housemate and this is how she meets the women who are friends or girlfriend of the lads in house. Pacey is a English/American student living with the lads and hates how Mackenzie has been treated and offers to be her rebound. Neither of them expected more to come of this arrangement but special things happen very quickly between them. I was sure how you get a English sounding man called Pacey (not a typical English name) but this is explain and I do love it. I feel for Pacey in this book especially when I comes to unrequited love that I feel was slightly blamed on Pacey but he was a perfect gentleman and feel he did get blamed for things he didn’t do or encourage. I usually listen to audiobook quite fast but to fully savour this book I listen to really slowly. Shane East and Emma Wilder are one of the best narrators and I think this was a dual narration not a duet but at some points I wasn’t sure because the narration was just that good. Absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan you can not get the same pleasure, anguish, tears and heartbreak all in same book.

Plans!. My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book. This is Makenzie and Pacey's story, we first met them in book one My One Night, Makenzie being the long-time girlfriend of Sanders one of five guys sharing a house on College Row. Makenzie and Sanders have been together they liked to say "almost from the cradle" she had her entire life planned out but then all her plans are forced to change when she discovers Sanders with another girl. Obviously, she's hurt but now she has to figure out how to cope when all her plans are now in ashes. I must admit that on first meeting Pacey he wasn't someone I wanted to know better he seemed top aloof but when MacKenzie seems to be unwilling or unable to move on he offers to help her by being her Rebound. But as we already know things don't always go to plan, sometimes fate throws us a curveball. As Pacey and Mackenzie's personal lives being to draw closer together both of them have to face changes, he has to come to terms with changes within his family, he also has to learn to let people in and not be so insular, something Mackenzie helps him realise. Whilst she has to face the fact that not only her love life has to change she will have to face changes in her academic life too. All her plans will need to be redrawn! As they explore the changes in their lives both together and apart, they have to come to terms with their feelings for each other are they going to just be friends with benefits or have they found something real? The connection they form is definitely one neither can ignore but will it stand the test of time? I enjoyed this thought-provoking, steamy read which held my attention with ease from beginning to end. The narration of this book by Emma Wilder and Shane East is very well done, they each perform wonderfully lifting this wonderful story to an even higher level.
