Very Dark. So many agendas-good vs evil

Waste. HORRIBLE

Not What I Expected. I could not begin to describe the disappointment I experienced by reading this book. I do not recommend at all. It was very hard to stay interested and even harder to stay engaged.

Life after death. It was very interesting to read. I hope there will be more.

Disappointed. I feel like I wasted my money I really thought that people were lying when they said This book is not even close to being as good at the first one it doesn’t make sense to me .. I’m so disappointed

Not what I expected. It took me a while to get into this book. With all of the other Sistah Soldier books, I loved them so much I was done with the book in a day or two, this one was months. I would have liked to read more about Winter and her interactions with the core characters of the series. Hopefully her next book will incorporate that.

Just wow!. This book had me questioning everything! I was confused, I was lost, I was in another world. Such a great joy! I’ve loved every word, sentences, and paragraphs! You will get mad, piss off and then smile! Just wow!

It was crazy. It was a crazy, unpredictable ride. But it was an awesome book. Made me check myself and my relationship with our creator!! Well done!

Flipped it!. It took AWHILE, almost the whole book. You closed that and sealed it up tight Sista. I was big mad for much of the book. I’m so grateful I kept on. Great work. Ready for the next one ❤️

WTH is this!?. This book has no correlation to the Coldest Winter Ever. I loved that book and read it so many times. This book doesn’t even feel like it’s written by the same person. If you’re a gamer, it’s giving Saints Row. I don’t know who gave her the OK to release this but it was not worth it.

Very Interesting. I throughly enjoyed this book. It made me take a look at my life . It made me happy to read a book about religion especially Islam.

Sickening. Absolutely not worth the money or read. Winter’s character has not grown along with the poorly written plot of this story.

Great Perspective. This really took me by surprise. I really love the perspective this book took me through and it really made me open my eyes to how I’m living right now. I can’t get enough and I did not want it to end. But I do love how mature Winter became by the end of the book.

Wasn’t what I thought. The book would be and the beginning started off real slow but picked up more as you read. The twist of the story really makes you think of you’re own life and the wrongs and rights that we all may have to answer to one day, overall I enjoyed the read and the spin off from the first Novel “The Coldest winter ever”. Sister Souljah makes you open up your mind on a deeper spiritual level when it comes to life and death.

Definitely Different. Peace.. I will say this. It wasn’t what I was expecting. However reading this book did enlighten my thoughts about life after.. Even though she spooked it up to much for this crowd, maybe she’s going in a different direction to introduce new techniques and make readers feel that she has spoken to all in her own way.. I’d read it again but not like the first.. change is good and constant. Peace..

Not Sure What This Was. Long story short this was disappointing. This makes me question if she really wrote the first book. It felt like it was all over the place, it was too long and very confusing. This could have been a great book. Winter is still dumb after all these years and didn't grow with the readers. After my second attempt I decided to stop reading. I made it to chp 20.

The worst Winter ever!!. I would certainly not recommend this book if your looking for a follow up to the first book. It took me almost a month to read this trash 🤦🏾‍♂️

Unexpected, yet, POWERFUL message!. After 20 years, fans have anticipated the culmination of the Winter Santiaga story. Although the setting of the story is unexpected, the message is undeniably powerful. Anyone who is familiar with Sista Soulja before she became an author should not be surprised by a powerful message woven through her work! I encourage all Sista Soulja fans to read until the end. She’s laying gems of wisdom at the feet of young women who idolize certain lifestyles and food for thought to all those who think they are doing ‘better than most’ and think they are above reaching a tragic outcome but also hope to folks who may feel they are beyond mercy. Don’t sleep on this book because of the entitlement of others who feel they should have a say-so in the creative works of an artist. This book is dope, creative, different, deep and well written. This book is a mirror! Thought provoking to say the least. 💯

Hate it. First of all she’s literally dead & a demon of some sort able to see & hear what’s going on. It’s disturbing and stupid in my opinion. The most horrible follow up ever ! The first book was very close to reality so to make the 2nd one pure fiction didn’t even make sense. I kept thinking she was dreaming she died & woke up but that never happen, skip this!

I couldn’t stop reading.... It was completely different but everything that I needed without even thinking about it. I’m glad I took the time!

Favorite urban Dante’s inferno fusion!. If you love soul searching and smart soliloquy and urban realness look no further! This book really had me relating to winter ! Though I would of learned a lil sooner at 30-34 when I was bout 26 and under I would have been doing the most just like her! I loved this I have no complaints probably my favorite books of all time both coldest winter and also life after death .

Not what I expected. This was not the sequel I expected. This book is literally about life after death. It details the after life (in Winter’s view) in too much detail. I was disappointed & was looking forward to Winter’s redemption once leaving prison but did not get that from this book.

I love it. I love all her books you just can’t put them down!

Life after death sister souljah. Not what I expected, but it was an interesting read.

Thumbs up. I actually liked the book as a whole! If you can get past the character turning into animals, it does make you self reflect on your own life and think am I walking the right path to go to heaven on my afterlife. I would say it’s not as hot as the original the coldest winter ever but I get what she was trying to say and do with the book.

Just Okay for me.. Love Sistah Souljah. I think she is dope. I also appreciate the creativity and message of the book overall but The Coldest Winter Ever is still my favorite book of the series.

Love love love it!. This book was EVERYTHING!!! Do you hear me?!?!.. I’m kinda late writing a review but I literally read this book in 24 hours of it being released. I also read this book 3 times because I felt like I missed something. I just knew Winter wasn’t going to learn her lesson. But she came out stronger and better.

Life After Death. I loved this book. It showed Winter’s growth. In life we all show have physical, mental, and spiritual growth. This was a good book.

Horrid at best. Writing is difficult, writing well seems impossible at times. But writing something as bad as this book is the real challenge. This book is filled with unappealing imagery that hardly allows the reader the space or opportunity to dive into the world. The dialogue is repetitive with a clip of this and that which quickly gets old.

Finish it!. Just do it!

WHat the heck was this!?. I loved the 1st book, so I downloaded this follow up. OMG. I just kept hoping it would get better but it did not. Really bad.

Not what I expected…. Saw a lot of bad reviews when this book first came out, but of course that didn’t discourage me because I’m such a fan of Sister Souljah and her style of writing! It’s nothing like The Coldest Winter Ever, but I actually did enjoy the book. This was a very unique book!

Slow starter but great ending. Normally I read all of SS books within 1-2 days but this took me weeks to get into. But once I was there I was there!!! And at the end I knew my life will forever be changed. I googled the Karan and asked a few of my Muslim friends for word pronunciation of some words. All I can say is thank you. If your goal was to reach 1 soul you reached mine. Thank you. Namaste

Disappointed. This was a terrible books. Although I enjoyed the coldest winter, this was far from a sequel. This book was more of a sci-fi book which I struggled to read. The beat chapter are the last couple of chapters. So disappointed .

See it through. I think if you read the coldest winter ever a very long time ago, that it would do you well to read it over before starting life after death. I think it just took me a while to finish the story because it’s nothing like what you would expect, but if you keep going, everything starts to make sense and I really appreciate being taken to a new realm. Although on numerous occasions, I found myself saying, “ oh my God, winter is so dumb” the reality is she was dumb because she still had a mind of a 19-year-old. But I enjoyed how the story came full circle and I enjoyed how she transformed the story of good and evil in an original way, where I could literally envision what I was reading and seeing something that I’ve never seen in a movie or envisioned from reading any other book with a good versus evil premise.

Very much needed. Winter’s life of living will teach valuable lessons every time! I really hope the messages shared throughout this book is gathered and resonates in the hearts of the youth and any persons being disconnected with our divine creator! Sister Souljah, did it again!!

Life After Death. This book was nothing short of amazing. The author is my absolute favorite, I have been waiting for another book from her for years. Such a great way to continue my interest in this series. I’m mad I finished it so fast. Cannot wait for the next one, truly looking forward to it.

Trash!. This book is CHEEKS!!!! How it went from the best hood/power story to some underworld sci-fi foolery is beyond me! I was so excited when I seen a sequel was released… I had any confused face you can imagine 7 chapters in… guess what, it didn’t get any better. This is the first review I’ve ever written.
