Great book. Awesome book. Easy read. Wish it was longer

Amazing read!!. I loved everything about this book. It had the classic feel of It, The Shining and other iconic Stephen King novels. This grabbed you, and steadily reeled you in right up to the amazing end, and even there was a surprise or two. I loved this one and whether you're a Stephen King fan, or are just discovering him for the first time, you owe it to yourself to dive into this one. Don't until, Later. Seeya, Champ!!

Loved it. Loved it

Two Thumbs Up!. I really enjoyed this but it was such a quick read I found myself wishing it were longer LoL. I also enjoyed that it was a bit different than the usual S. King books.

Wish it was longer! Hoping to see Jamie Conklin again!. Short and sweet. Genuinely chilling at times. A surprising appearance of ... something! And a touching ending.

Weird and boring. The plot was kind of all over the place. No characters were that interesting. The end was very weird and unnecessary. I just think he tried to fit too many storylines into one book. It felt rushed. Very disappointing.

Happy Halloween Month. 4 Stars. I love these throwback, pulpy books by King. This one was a great fall read. I always enjoy King in the fall. It’s his time, I think. As usual, the characters drove the book. No one creates them better than he does. I almost feel like there is more to this story. Maybe a lot more. I guess we’ll see. Happy Halloween Month.

Great Book. GREAT BOOK. just an abrupt ending. Should have been longer!

Classic King. A very quick read with many callbacks to King’s earlier work.

Solid storytelling. A very easy read - which is a credit to King and his writing. I expected a little more from the story and it seemed to end fairly suddenly. Not sure what, exactly, more I expected, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Fun Read. Later Dude

The “King” does it again!. So good! Horrific twists and King turns to the very end. I love SK!!!

LATER. Thank you for another hard-to-put-down, keep me awake for just another hour, superlative story. My only fear now is I have to find another...

Great Read!. Enjoyed this book.

I want more. I have been reading King since I was a girl. Now at 64 I still can’t put him down. We are, in fact, constant companions! Later is a quick read and as ever, brilliant storytelling. But, I want more. I want Jamie to become a detective and use his special powers! Liz said it, he would make a great detective, the Dead’s Detective. Enjoy Later. But I guarantee, you WILL want more!

King’s Storytelling at its Finest. Look, there are a lot of subpar ratings out there for this piece, and in some ways I can understand. Let me use a comparison to some of my favorite comedy. I love a stand up who can make you laugh for fifty five minutes and then leave you with the last five as morality, inner retrospective and philosophical commentary and then end with a good joke. This is what King does in ‘Later’. He gives you a great suspense story based in the spiritual realm and will give you a reason to keep reading through 95% of the story. The retrospective at the end serves as the button, the recap, the application to the story itself. Those who complain about the story are taking it at face value. This is a must read if you’re a King fan, but you must allow yourself to feel, learn, and most important: self identify,

Later. “Wow! I didn’t see that coming!” is what I thought in the end! Later is right right right! What a great read

Good read. A page turner with a few nice twists. Classic SK

Great page turner. Another great page turner. More like Mr Mercedes that The Shining. Loved it

Typical SK — Very Good!. Not quite the normal King page turner, but a good story nonetheless. He always seems to answer the open question. Great writers stand in the shoes of their future readers. Those shoes fit Mr. King quite well.

He never disappoints.. Very entertaining.

The Master of Horror does it again. Stephen King has woven yet another chilling tale, one stretched out over a decade, about a boy with a strange gift that threatens to become a deadly curse. King’s characters are so well crafted that they seem to have life’s all their own… even the ones no longer among the living. Superb!

I love King, but…. This one isn’t up to his usual standards. A shadow of past works of genius and madness.

An Exciting Refreshing Scary Fun Read. For King, a shorter novel, but with plenty of substance and what’s-going-to-happen-next page turning suspense. Told in the first person, he puts you up front in the action. Recommend to all readers of novels.

Fantastic. Loved this book! I have been hesitant to get back into Stephen King, because I find his older stuff much too long and descriptive. This was just the thing. It’s definitely still scary and for sure inventive. I would love to read more about this character in this format. Would recommend to anyone who likes crime or horror!

Entertaining and clever. A soft horror story narrated by boy as he grows from a child to a young man. An interesting twist on the human desire to communicate with the dead.

This is King at his (near) best. I’m an avid reader of many things, and King is my favorite author. That said, I am not a “He can’t do anything wrong” sort of guy. Lisey’s Story is an example of a book I couldn’t even finish... but then there are the good, the great and the masterpieces. I found this to be a truly strong outing. I’ve read King nearly my entire life. I’m 52 now, and Steven is older. I wish he could live forever... but I’d settle for as long as I do. King’s voice is my favorite one to hear in my head. Thanks for the fun book, champ. I may not be able to call you back from the deadlights when you’re gone, but I suppose revisiting your prose will suffice.

So good!. My favorite Stephen king book. I was hooked.

Great Read!. I like this twist on “I see dead people”

A light fun mystery novel. A fun read in the narrative of a Holden Caulfield . At times I thought Steven King was imitating JD ‘s narrative for a fun exploration of alternative writing styles. Really enjoyed the book

One of my favorites. Couldn’t put it down!

Fantastic. Great storytelling!

Great story. The kind where you thinks about the characters later on !

Quick read. If that was such thing for a Stephen King novel. Really enjoyed this book. Kings style of writing fits perfectly in my mind. I liked the character engagement with the reader.

Good short read. Awesome

Excellent book!. Another great story from one of our greatest writers. I love his books.

Enjoyable fast read. Great story characters grab you from the beginning ...only complaint it ended too soon, this one for sure leaves you waiting for a part 2.... maybe later....

Wait for it….. Didn’t see that coming! What an unexpected ending!

Couldn’t put it down. Later kept me wanting more. The descriptions of the ghosts was very visual, like I was watching a movie and not reading a book. At some lines I was covering my eyes. The ending was a unexpected surprise.

Later. Mr. King never lets a reader down. He has an art of leaving his reader thinking…”Well this could be true..if fact I am sure it is!” That kind of thinking is darn spooky. I was let down that the book was not longer due to my constant devotion to it. I hope Mr. King has much more up his sleeves to write about. I am a King addict, and proud of it.

Did not disappoint. I had no idea what this book would be about- just bought it because I felt like reading, and because I’ve been reading King since the 80’s. Loved it

A great diversion. Another enthralling story from the prolific S. King. This tale slips on like a comfortable pair of jeans and before you know it, you are immersed in the horror we’ve come to expect from a master in his craft. A pleasant, if brief, vacation from cataclysmic news headlines and tragic realities of political and viral fallout.

Meh, Maybe I’ll Like It…Later. not much of a “horror” story, more of a twisted tale of confusion, lies & betrayal; quick read overall, w/ some slow moments. the climax didn’t really do much for me, kind of felt like the climax was settled upon out of a need to end the book.

Disappointing. Not up to the Stephen King standards. Can definitely skip this one.

Later. What can I say!! I loved it!! Never, ever disappointed in any King book I read! Love him. Ava

Just like the old times!. This one is a page turner and rips along! Spooky but not as scary as some other novels. But the feel is there and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Ps, it definitely ties in to King’s running mythos which is very cool.

Pretty Good…. Not bad…as always I enjoyed reading it during my treadmill workouts.

Say Later To This Book. Awful. I’m mean, just awful. There was no story, just rambling. Waste of money and time I will never see again. What happened to you Stephen?

Stephen King please keep writing. He just keeps getting better and better. His ubiquity means nothing. He is really a master, plain and simple. No one writes about childhood, family, friendship, and love like Stephen King.

Later. I read this in a day. It flowed like water and I could not put it down. I kept wanting to read smart lines out loud. No wasted pages in this Stephen King magic carpet ride!

Really Enjoyed This Novella. Im liking this style of writing was very doubtful at first , but glad i gave it a chance!!!

Du grand Stephen King. J’ai adoré! J’aime sa façon de discuter avec le lecteur, nous avons l’impression de passer la soirée avec un ami qui nous raconte un côté secret de vie…

Lame for King. I expect more from Stephen king actually. Kept waiting for the climax in the plot I don’t get it missing
