The Haunted Homecoming. The Haunted Homecoming by Angie Fox Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries #10. Paranormal cozy mystery. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series. Cliffhanger although the mystery itself is solved. Homecoming week in Sugarland, TN is a celebration that brings Verity’s mother home from traveling the U.S. via mobile coach. When the time capsule is opened during the festivities a body is found included in the vault. Verity uses Franky’s ghostly power to investigate. In her typical ghost hunting style, Verity talks to ghosts and towns people investigating what might have happened. With her mother spreading stories and updates to everyone she meets, the danger intensifies as they get closer to discovering the secrets of the past. Meanwhile, Franky is going through a confidence crisis when girlfriend Molly seems to prefer El Gato. This last piece were the funniest parts of the book. El Gato is apparently a smooth operator! A time capsule from 1985 made me feel nostalgic and old with the music and styles. I love the series, Verity, Ellis, Franky, Melody and the continuity with ghosts reappearing. It’s a fun cozy mystery adventure although this one leaves us with a cliffhanger of what may happen next. A visit with friends and a little excitement to spice up the day. Excerpt: “I took a sip of sweet tea and willed myself to remember nobody loved me like my mother. And I loved her. At least I was pretty sure I still did” Excerpt From The Haunted Homecoming by Angie Fox 4.5. I hate to be left hanging when I know the next book won’t be for months.

Homecoming Sugarland style!. This is The Haunted Homecoming, Book #10 of the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries written by Angie Fox. This series is one of my favorite cozy mysteries! The whole crew in Sugarland are a mystery always just waiting to happen. Verity and her pal Frankie, the gangster ghost, and her sweet pet skunk Lucy are always getting into some new sort of situation and need help getting out. Good thing Verity is dating the very handsome police officer Ellis! It sure comes in handy to have friends in high places! Come celebrate Homecoming week Sugarland style! Its a don't miss time!!

Good book. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Great cozy murder mystery with just the right amount of romance…. Angie Fox adds another hit to the growing list of fantastic books. This was such a great cozy murder mystery with just the right amount of romance. I'm glad to see that Verity and Elis are doing great and that the series is not dependent on their relationship. And as much as I liked seeing Verity take on Ellis' mother, Virginia, and become friendly again with Beau, Ellis' brother and ex-fiancé, in past books, I really enjoyed that they were absent from this book. I'm glad we got to meet Melody and Verity's mother, Tilly, especially since this book revolved around the death of Tilly's friend Ashley. Lucy of course was as cute as ever! (Don't you ever scare me like that again! You will know what I mean when you read this one.) Frankie is of course Frankie. Unfortunately not a lot of progress has been made with releasing Frankie from his urn prison, but we wouldn't have all this craziness if they did. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite reads in this series!. It's Homecoming time in Sugarland! During the celebration the town will also be opening a time capsule earlier than planned due to expansion to the football field area. Verity's mom, Tilly, and her stepdad are in town for the event. Tilly even brought a cute outfit for Verity's pet skunk Lucy to wear to homecoming! Unfortunately once the time capsule is open Verity is busy helping her boyfriend Ellis solve an old murder mystery with her ghostly partner Frankie and the "help" of Verity's mom. This was a fun read and one of my favorites in this series. It was nice finally being introduced to Verity's mother and stepdad. I hope to see them in future books. The homecoming events were fun. I like the relationship between Frankie and Molly. They're a cute couple!

Perfectly Titled. I like this series and this book was good. I loved getting to see Verity interacting with her mom and step-dad. The family dynamics between them as well as her sister were easily relatable. The mystery was good though I wondered early if I knew who the bad guy was and I was right. Frankie has some major character development and Molly may have had the most! She blew my mind in this book! Living in a small town, I could totally relate to how a town gets involved in the Homecoming madness. Thank you to Angie Fox, NetGalley, and Moose Island Books for giving me the chance to read this story and share my honest thoughts and opinions with others.

Angie Fox Haunted Homecoming is another WINNER!. Verity’s mom has come to visit and attend the Sugarland High School Homecoming. She’s blabbing to anyone in Sugarland, Tennessee who’ll listen everything about Verity, (all) Verity’s ghost hunting secrets and ghostly friends. That becomes dangerous when Verity and her ghostly gangster partner, Frankie, try to solve a years-old murder mystery. It’s all centered around the Sugarland High School Homecoming. Angie Fox’s Sugarland books tell the ongoing story of Verity, Ellis (her cop boyfriend), Lucy (her sweet pet skunk), Frankie the 1930’s gangster ghost, and many other interesting Sugarland characters. The stories are packed with interesting sidelines and characters and are different each time, so you don’t feel like they’re part of a “recipe”. The endings can’t be predicted, and the twists and turns keep you reading until the end.

I love this series!. Now I have to wait until May 22 for the next book. Crying. The characters are fantastic and round. The stories are exactly what I could imagine in my own little Southern town. Suspense, mystery, love, friendship…all wrapped into a cute series. I hope it never ends. HBO needs to snag this series for tv.

Haunted homecoming. I have enjoyed all of the southern spirits books. I think they would make a great mini series on tv, dvd or Netflix

Mystery at Homecoming. Verity and Frankie are back sharing an exciting adventure that occurs during a small town tradition. This book was a new direction in the series for the author. It had a few directional plots that emphasized relationships between people. It was interesting to see Verity’s mom introduced to the reader as a secondary character after only being mentioned in passing in other books. Additionally, further depth is added to Frankie and Molly. High school renovation leads to the digging up of time capsule projects from graduating classes during this year’s Homecoming Week. Scores of former graduates including Verity’s mom gather for the celebration providing more suspects for Verity’s murder investigation. The plot twists and quirky characters let the reader enjoy how Verity investigates without letting people know she is speaking with ghosts in the middle of the Homecoming crowds. I laughed aloud at the dialogue and the coverups that prevented ordinary people from realizing that ghosts were all around them. The plot was complex and I was kept guessing concerning the actual murderer until the revelation in the final chapter. I really enjoyed this book. I received an ARC for review. I would highly recommend this book.

Go Sugarland!. Another great ghost story that kept my nose in this book until the end!

Perfect to put you in the mood for Fall!. Fox has delivered another fun, entertaining story with all of the crew from Sugarland, plus some visiting relatives. Set amid the High School homecoming weekend, this story brings Verity’s mother, Tilly, and husband Carl back into the fold for the festivities. Mom is anxious to reconnect with her BFF, but a decades old tragedy comes to light and has Verity on the trail of a killer. Her efforts are minimally hampered by her mom’s inability to keep her mouth closed, but with the help of gangster ghost, Frankie, and her cop boyfriend, Ellis, she’s determined to find the answers at all costs. Frankie finds himself in some hot water (again!) with the love of his life, and agrees to help with the unofficial investigation only if Verity will straighten things out for him. We also get a generous helping of Verity’s pet skunk, Lucy, who is enjoying her gramma time. Fox always lays out a rich setting, with the perfect amount of detail to give the reader a clear vision of the story. The characters are quite familiar, now, and gain dimension and depth with every book. The Southern Ghost Hunter books are a delightful series, easy to read, well developed plots, fantastic, quirky characters and always a satisfying ending. Each book stands alone, but reading them from the first is just the best. I highly recommend Haunted Homecoming for mystery lovers, like me, or anyone who appreciates a great story with memorable characters!

Easy Read. Cliff Hanger Ending. Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery Book 10 Great book, easy read with vivid descriptions. Really made me feel like I was in a small Southern Town. This book finishes on a cliff hanger & feels like a TV episode. I’m itching to find out what happens next.
