North Star beginnings. It’s complicated (and long). Ranches and small towns are the settings for adventures, ending relationships that didn’t work, discovering new love and finding their place in the world.
Bad things do not last forever, it love does. Stories of the Northstar Beginning were great to read through. I will say there are some loving terms used that are usually more parent to child than romance in my experience, so there were moments where I just felt like they were improperly used, however, it is a few decades ago for the time frame, based on land line use, which makes time together more direct and clearer as the story goes on.

Easy reading. This author approaches difficult subjects in a thoughtful and kind manner. Well worth reading.
Neither one thing or the other. On the one hand these books are light weight love stories, on the other they deal with rape, attempted rape, stalking, abuse, assault etc. It just doesn’t gel. The rape story comes with a trigger warning, but even though I have no experience of this issue it made for unpleasant reading. In both books I felt like it flipped between the two storylines and dragged on.
