A Mother for Christmas by Jackie Weger Book Summary
Decker Davenport is on a deadline. He has thirty days — Christmas Eve, to be exact — to remodel a St. Augustine Victorian house or the owner will put it back on the market. Not a good time for Decker’s decorator to take off on a honeymoon, leaving him with Annalise Owens, a stand-in with a malaise he isn’t privy to.
But as he watches Annalise work miracles on the house and his daughter, he realizes the two of them have bonded in some ethereal way, as if they’ve always known each other.
As Christmas Eve approaches, Decker still sees the curious malaise in Annalise’s eyes. A haunting that even his kiss can’t take away. What secret does the new woman in his house possess? And will learning Annalise’s secret bring him and his daughter joy, or tear their world apart?

A Mother For Christmas. What a lovely read. Maybe you should stock up on a Kleenex or two, but you really deserve to read this book.

Wonderful. Love this book! What a precocious child Sophie is, and Annalise is such a sweet character. Davenport tries to be rough and tough, but really is a softy. Sweet HEA, but wish the ending was longer and told a little more.

Best read and history too!. What a wonderful story. Enjoyed reading this and hearing all the name of name of the Columbia restaurant, I have eaten there. Fun history of St Augustine.
You Never Know When Love Will Strike. Hired as a nanny for a precocious child she does very well putting limits to the tantrums by ignoring them. Her boss and the child’s father is impressed but hold back on love because of his guilt over his ex wife.
BORING-BUT GREAT BOOK COVER. I have read up to chapter 3 & it was hard to get there, as I had went to playing a couple of games. I had to force myself to read to chapter 3. Then I just stopped, as I would have to force myself to finish it!

A Mother for Christmas. A very good read, liked the characters and their humor. Writing a believable, precocious plot of a young child into the star of the book is great! Book has warmth, humor and love. We adopted our daughter when she was 22 months old and she celebrated her 20th birthday on December 20, 2022! We are a truly bonded family. Would have given 5 stars but I do not like open bedroom door dialogue.

A Mother For Christmas. First time reading this author and so glad I did. I will definitely read her again. Loved the characters, the storyline, just everything. Sophie and her nerves continually cracked me up. It was basically a miracle story, but who doesn’t want to believe in miracles at Christmas. Clean sexual encounters, and no foul language. Enjoyed it very much.
