Fast paced thriller. If you're looking for a page turner that grabs your attention from start to finish, this is a good read. Not too deep; good for reading at the gym or the beach where there are other distractions. If you like Baldacci, I found this to be one of his better books.

Jackson. Top 5 scariest villain ever. I ve read all the Shaw, Camel Club, & King & Maxwell series books, but this was by far his best villain! Jackson MADE this book. The scene were he killed the reporter gave me chills. FANTASTIC!!

Slow read. The beginning and middle of the story were very slow, almost boring. The last third of the book was fast-paced, a good read. The ending was predictable, but still satisfying.

The Winner. This is my favorite Baldacci book. Fast paced with well fleshed out characters and suspense throughout. You'll have to read it twice to not miss any of the action.

Brilliant story. I enjoyed this book at least as much as I enjoyed the camel club series. Fun to read.

Reads like a screenplay. Good plot and characters, but the villain was unbelievable. Add to that the never ending details regarding makeup and disguises ( I never want to read the words "spirit gum" again), and you loose a star. Too much unnecessary filler, not enough meat. Stop describing the set decoration and write the book! The author's later work is much improved. That's the good news :)

The winner. Not in any way up to Balducci's usual. It is extremely repetitive and dull and also unbelievable-it's just plain boring. The writing does not even sound like him. Ghost writer in the sky?

A Winner!. Much different than other Baldacci novels I've read, however it grabbed me from about the third chapter and I literally could not stop reading it! I'll probably read it again!

The Winner. When I picked up the novel The Winner, I wasn’t expecting it to be a David Baldacci best seller. I read the back cover and wasn’t immediately interested but it was the only book of his I could find at the time. But after reading it I absolutely love the story. The Winner. A well-told, creative, if implausible story by a writer I always enjoy. However, the tale was way too long for my liking. I think at least a third of the book could have been edited out without losing a beat. In your next book, Mr. B., please tighten it up. Surely you' re not paid by the word!

Interesting book but has some errors.. This book contains one glaring continuity error and several smaller errors that don’t agree with the time in which the book is set or with what is being described. For a Baldacci book, this is disappointing.

Good no, great title. I loved this story…the stress I felt made it even more of a page turner. The baddie was one of the most intriguing. Such a fearful character makes me worry about that crafty Balducci mind…geez who can think up this stuff!Plugging in my night light and setting the house alarm…but… probably won’t help settle my nerves. Thanks for the crafty, fun read.

Baldacci’s Best!. So many twists and turns, hardly a chance to put the book down.

WINNER. Even though I’ve read this book before, I still get a thrill. I read so much (50+ booked per year) I tend to forget them & therefore am able to enjoy them all over again. This is one of my best goto authors, so if you’re first time go slower at the end. ENJOY!

Another winner!. Baldacchi doesn't disappoint. He adds a new twist and perspective on the murder mystery scene. Was sorry the book had to end!

Good but,. A little predictable.

The Winner. Excellent! Love the way this guy writes.

Reads like a movie script. It tells the characters which direction to turn, what look to have on their face, and you can hear the movie score in the background. She's poor - but stunningly beautiful and strong and clever! She can ride horses and shoot a gun and do hand to hand combat and even chop wood! She gets the handsome FBI agent in the end and keeps her money! Keep yours.

Good compelling story, but gun mistakes. As with many authors, there are glaring gun mistakes. Revolvers do not have safeties and guns that do have safeties are disengaged with the shooter's thumb, not finger, etc.... Aside from these glaring errors and more, it is a good read and great story.

Great book!. I tend to give up on a book early on if I get bored by the story but this one held my interest all the way through. Highly recommended!

Creepy but awesome!!. 1 of his best books ever omg!!! I could not put it down love Luann n Riggs especially Riggs very good book but trust me Tht guy was so creep talk abt man of many disguise, I must say I felt like I was in the book!! Love this book good job mr.baldacci!!
