Perfection. This book is perfect. It is fantastic and I recomend it to all ages, boys and girls.

Great book!. This book can really pull at your heartstrings and make you really feel for the characters! I would recommend this book to anyone!

Book is awesome. Me and my wife watch the movie and had to get the book

The best book ever!. This is the best book I have ever read!

The help. LOVE IT!! Could read it again & again.

Great. Definitely recommend

The Help. Great read... Not too crazy about ending, though

Best Book Ever. This book has brought a bright spotlight on to the Civil Rights Movement as its amazing storytelling by Kathryn Stockett is shown. I recommend this book to everyone over the age of 12

Eh. I think it has a problem with it going from 0 to 100 too quick without any real buildup, the beginning is slow, and there’s a lot of boring parts, but the good parts are extremely good

The Help. Amazing! It captured to seriousness of segregation but also the silliness of revenge. I enjoyed to the highest degree.

Chick Lit. Very reverse racist.

Honey, you need to get moving on another book!. Horribly unfortunate for me, I saw the movie first which is one of the most regrettable things in my life. This book is by far the best book I have ever read in my life! I actually had to have 3 go's at it because I had other books. I just finished it right now completely and Kathryn, please, please please, write as many more books as possible!!!

The story didn’t connect well.. Disappointed and dissatisfied with this novel.

Help. This is one of the best books I have ever read about the South and the lives of people in the 60's. I could not put it down.

The Help. BEST BOOK EVER. It’s a book you can read again and again and never get bored.

Heartbreaking and Beautiful. Just beautiful. I couldn't put it down. The characters inspire so much emotion; I can't remember the last book where I loved and hated characters with such vigor. The author really captured so much of the experience of being a woman, and I appreciated the way she did not flinch in her descriptions of child loss and domestic violence. The simple and powerful writing made me clamor to read each page.

The Help. After seeing the movie, I read the book almost straight through. As a deep southern white woman born in the early 60’s, this book helped me to see just a glimpse of all the bad ugly we whites caused. Thank God I was raised with compassion and taught to be kind, respectful, and giving to everyone. But still I know I live a deep down privileged life that my beautiful friend has never experienced. Wake up people, we are all the same. No one should have to build up a “callous” in order to get through life. Sorry is not enough, but I am.

Loved it. Amazing book, I’m not gonna spoil it for anyone but It’s on my lists of must reads.

Yaaassss 😁. This book is amazing! I don't even really read much except for text messages but after reading this book, I want to read even more. The characters have such different personalities that, eventually, falls through perfectly with each other. After reading this, I don't know what to do now. I don't know ANY book that can top this!

I need help. This book was so good I needed help putting it down

The Help. Loved it! So good!

Beautiful book.. Definitely has a lot more stories in the book that you do not get to hear/see in the movie.

Heart wrenching. Just finished this amazing book! I read a lot and enjoy many genres, but very rarely does a book grab me and not let go! I was mesmerized by the stories in this book. I laughed, I cried, I became angry, I felt pity...many emotions were stirred up! I was truly sad when it ended, although not disappointed. I will miss these new friends of the heart! Bar none, one of the best books I've ever read!

The Best Novel Ever Written. I read The Help when I was 17, after having watched it quite a few times. Unfortunately, because I had watched the motion picture first, I envisioned the characters wrongly as I read the book. Since reading it the first time in 2017, I have read it again and again a total of eight times. Every time I re-read it, I get a different perspective than the last. I become more attached to Skeeter, Aibileen, and Minny. To Celia, and Lou Anne. To Louvenia, Winnie, and all of the other maids. It makes me cry every time I read it. When I watch the movie, I cry even harder knowing the background. This novel speaks wonders and volumes about how much love there was, how much hate there was, and how much power one book can cause. Kathryn Stockett has blessed us all with this magnificent, incredible and detailed tome that paints the most beautiful, and in some ways damning, images. I will always love this book, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone. Thank you Mrs. Stockett. Your book has touched my life, and will forever remain in my life.

Wish I Had Read Before The Movie. This was so amazing. Unfortunately I saw the movie before I even knew it was a book and I wish I hadn’t. I think the book was much better than the movie and would’ve been more enjoyable for me if I hadn’t seen it first. Still, I loved it.

In love. I absolutely love this book, it has a special place in my heart ❤️

A great book with edgy content. The help is an amazing story about three woman(2 African American) who are living in Mississippi in the 60's. This novel is well written and will leave a great impact on its readers. CATIONS FOR TEENS: sexual situations, lots of mild language (mostly the S word) and some violence Better for audiences 15+

Very good book. Really enjoyed this book. So inspiring and a real page turner. Anyone trying to get their nose in a excellent read. This is the book.

The help is the best. Omg I just started this book today for school and I already love it. I have been holding off reading it because my teacher said it was a literature circle book and I had to wait to read it. I am so glad I waited because this is seriously a great book 5 stars definitely.

The Help. This book is a great read! It is better than the movie, for of course it has more details. The movie does follow the book pretty well though. It is amazing what the black people had to live thru and how some of the white people actually thought back then. Of course sadly some still think the same way today. I truly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to everyone!

BEST BOOK EVER. I’ve watched the movie, but I love how the book goes into so much more detail! Have a great day stranger who is scrolling through

one of my favorite books ever!. i loved this book so much! i’ve watched the movie so many times since i was like 5 and when i tell you when i read the book it had me sobbing as much as the movie did! the characters stories are so amazing and i just loved it so much! THIS IS A MUST READ!

Great book!. I love the movie and the book! It’s a movie where it shows all of the sides of the civil problems in the 20th century without being racist against a particular group. It shows how some of the caucasians are kind to African Americans, and how some of the African Americans were kind to caucasians. I suggest this book (and movie) to all people!

A guy in Montana. Marvelous!

AMAZING!!!. Been reading it in my supervised study class which is about 100 min. And I'm almost done and it's so good!! One thing that amazes me is I NEVER get emotional about a book, or a movie, and cry -no- not me. But there were countless times where my face was tearing up or flat out bailing!! The book is wonderful, keeps you hooked, but some kids won't understand, there are some words thown out there that kids won't understand, but still great book!!Whoever gives 1-3 stars, you live under a rock or you just are missing out on this!!! 😁😁😁😁😁💗💗💗 📚

A thoughtful, carefully crafted read. I had already seen the movie. I usually like to read the book before seeing the movie. But I loved reading the book. It not only showed what was going on between whites and blacks, but portrayed what goes on between people in general. Why we do the things we do and act the way we do. Why we get comfortable with uncomfortable situations and how to change that behavior. I enjoyed reading this.

I really love this book. I have finish reading it yesterday it's so great , and also I read it in my language Arabic , thanks so much it's the best book I have ever read

The help. This book will touch so many of people's hearts and will make them laugh and cry it was such a great pleasure to read this book. I don't do well with big books but I just flied though this one like it only had 70 pgs. This is a book worth reading I loved it!! My new favorite book and make sure to see the movie to!

20 yr old college student, UC. This is the best book I have read thus far. It has completely expanded my perspective. I’m excited to read another book because of this. This text has every moment you want to read and elicits every emotion you desire to keep reading. I love it so much. Thank you for sharing.

Best book ever!. Totally surprised how great this book was, best book I've read in a long time.

A MUST Read. Intense, has some funny parts, sad parts, relatable but mostly it gives you a whole different perspective on things. I just finished the book and I’m off to go see the movies now!

Great book. A great read. Couldn’t put it down.

Better than the movie !!. Absolutely love this book!! I saw the movie which I love to but the book had more stories to tell. The details were beautiful felt like I was there my self . The book has more scene and stories and events then they shown in the movie .... I love this book I recommend it to everybody !!

Loved it. Loved the story and loved the characters. They were all unique and had their own voice, which made for an engaging read. I looked forward to hearing each character’s perspective, and I liked seeing how they were all connected throughout the story.

Fantastic. I absolutely loved reading this book! It made reading interesting for me, to be honest it was the first book I have finished in a long time. I couldn't put it down! Reading this book was a great experience, I highly recommend it!

The help. This was an awesome book

Emotional. This book was beautiful. A+ well written i just loved it! Be prepared to cry.

Rosie. I really enjoyed this read. It put things in perspective about how things were between the help and the children!!

The Help. Excellent!!!

Amazing. This book was amazing! I love how realistic it sounds but it does have a sad ending when Mae Mobley is crying into Aibileens shoulder. :(

Great book!. Read it all on my iPhone so I guess it was good!!! :)

Great book, less great ending. Loved this book, but the end just..well..ended! I was hoping for more closure, but the story itself is absolutely worth the read.

Ritu sidhu1. One of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s a masterpiece. Once you start reading you can’t put it down. Highly recommend.. makes you think about life ❤️

The help. Very very good book, easy to read on my iPhone. Will recommend to all my friends.

The Help. Great book!..touching,surprising and brilliant!

The Help. This was a very easy read. Great book about a sad time in history.

Amazing. Best book ever!!

The Help!. Poignant, funny and a page turner!

Wonderful!. Wonderful! Love it so much, a very interesting and needed story. Very funny at times, but still serious. Quite a page turner.

The Help. Great book - particularly enjoyed how these woman's bravery contributed to the change in history. My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island in Michigan a few years ago and all the waiters were black And wearing the morning suits - it was very disturbing in this day and age.

The help. I really enjoyed this book, it was never boring!

Wow. Fantastic, moving, thought-provoking read. Everyone should read this.

Help. The best book I've ever read this far

Amazing. This book is fabulous!! I loved reading it on my iPad! It was even better then the movie!

The help. The most fascinating book that ever reached counters! Reading this book with my IPad is very easy and understanding. Love it and would recommend it to anyone who would ask.

Writing my first ever book review through my tears @ 2am. I'm propped up on pillows in my bed, it's just after 2am, and my husband has given up turning over to ask me why I'm still awake reading. In fact, the last time he rolled over, he just stared long enough at me to focus on my face in the light of my tablet and register the tears rolling down my face. He sighed, laid his head back down and closed his eyes. The tears started welling somewhere around midnight and managed to hold onto my eyeballs until I read the last page. When I finally looked up, I realized the main reason I was crying, sobbing, was because the book had ended and I would never know what happened to the dear characters I had so deeply fallen in love with. I truly don't remember another book in my life that I struggled to put down as I did this one. I'm sure these reviews are too insignificant to ever get to the author... but I sure wish I could thank her. My bed, the pillows I'm propped on, my little white children sleeping in their beds... we're all living and growing here in Johannesburg, S.Africa. My husband and I moved here from Canada nearly five years ago... and while many readers may feel they are reading a piece of history... I feel truly moved and connected to real and true people I see and come into contact with every day. We have a maid, I was told that employing someone was 'expected of me' although it made me uncomfortable... and I am frowned upon when I mention that she was my first 'friend' in his country. It was a surprise to me that I had to tell her not to use the toilet out behind the house, not to bring her own cup, plate and cutlery to stash in my pantry and to please join me at the table when I was home and made us both lunch. We live in an expensive, up-market, high-security estate and I've been told many times that we shouldn't mix with our domestics because they will come to 'expect too much'. I hope that I am successful in teaching my children not to judge anyone by the colour of their skin, amongst other things, and I also hope that when they get old enough they'll read this book. Thank you for introducing me to these amazing people. I do think I'll wonder about them (like they were people i once knew), for a long time to come... Sincerely, S.Willock

The Help. A

Wow. The book is better than the movie

Good read. This was a good read and a horrible reminder of how things use to be.

The help. This book is softly written. It brings us to an era where terrible things were starting to happen and the U.S. had a shift in thinking and attitudes. The help seems to be an idealistic story of unfortunate times. I enjoyed the book but can't help but feel that one must educate the young people reading this who have no memories of those times that this is just a fictional story. Do our future generations a favour and teach them accurate history.

The Help. Compelling! Truly a classic novel. Wonderful story about human compassion, resilience and incredible bravery. Always amazes me that this existed only 50 years ago and unfortunately our species still cannot seem to eradicate racism. We have to just keep trying and practice more compassion toward our fellow humans.

The Help. It's an engrossing read. Poignant and well written. You believe you're in the South in the 1960s. It leaves you with an educated understanding of how life was back then. The good and the bad. I highly recommend this book!

The Help. Awesome book! I couldn't put it down!!

Wonderful!. I didn't want the book to end, ever aspect of the book was well written and interesting! Just wonderful! A must read!!!

Great!. After constantly hearing about this book and now of course about the major motion picture it has become, I decided to buy it. And after the first chapter there was no way in hell that I was putting it down. I read it on the bus, at work (even making customers wait until I've finished my page or my chapter). This book plays with your emotions, your curiosity and your own views of History. It is clever and beautifully written. It is one that will make the top of your recommendation list.

Interesting but slow. The story covers an interesting topic, but is slow moving and sometimes hard to follow

Inspirational. A must read! Will inspire you to do great things.

Amazing!!!. I love this book. It shows a different view than some books do. :)

Awsome. Im only half way through the book and its the best book I've ever read

Fantastic. One of he best books I've ever read.
