Best book ever. Must read

LOVED THIS!!. If you're debating reading the series, PLEASE DO!! Best book series I've ever read and I really do love all the books. I love Roses personality and how it is narrated by her! Everything about this book series had me blown away and wanting more :)

Missing. Loved the book once I got further into it, but I felt like I was missing some background for it. Is there another book before this one?

Mediocre. It fell short of my expectations. There were parts that were interesting and great, but I felt as though the action fell short. The romance is boring and too cliche, which just frustrates me. It's definitely better than twilight, but it just didn't do it for me.

Best Book Overall. I love love love it!!!!! I LOOOOVVVE the series too!!! But the first book couldn't have made such a smashing hit! Rose's short temper and over protectiveness of Lissa will carry her a long way! And her relationship with Dimitri is a total WOW, their forbidden love is so feisty!! I was intrigued the whole time while I read by the end I was dieing for more!!!

50/50. I kinda lost interest it's still good don't get me wrong what's the point of the story if you want ti read a good vampire series read 'my blood aproves' by Amanda hockington there ramance and tons of vampire stuff u can sink your teeth into my opinion just give Amanda a try!

LOVED IT!. This book was really good. I originally got it because my friend and I said we were going to read it and she was reading it and loved it! I at first was kind of bored so for those of you guys that get bored really easily just power through the beginning! It's an amazing book and I can't wait to get the next one!

The most amazing series I've ever read. When I first read these books some years ago I was captivated by every page, enchanted by how strong Rose was, the intense and seemingly impossible relationship with Rose and Dimitri - everything about this series is absolutely amazing. The way that those two were able to love each other has given me hope that one day I can find someone I love this much, and would do anything for. Six years later, this enrapturing story never ceases to amaze me and the sacrifices Rose makes for the ones around her makes me want to be as amazing as Rose and show my loved ones that they are my world and my everything. Thank you Richelle, I hope one day I can be as strong as Rose. And have a relationship as meaningful and loving as the one you have so deeply and perfectly described the depth of. Thank you. :)

Fantastic!. What a fantastic book! Finally got around to reading this on my day off, after a friend had been recommending it for months! I'm a really picky reader, so I was pleasantly surprised/relieved at how this story was written, especially after being disappointed by some other teenage-vampire novel that I shall not name... The story was captivating and really takes you into this world where Moroi, Strigoi, and dhampirs live. I literally could not put down the book (or in my case, iPad), that I finished it in one day! Going to start the second volume immediately! :)

Its good!. This book is good but its not the best it is a very good book

One of my favorite series!. I read this series after I read Twilight(before the movies came out) and these books far surpass them! It isn't just another teen romance novel about vampires. It's a unique series with a strong leading woman, Rose, that keeps you on your toes. It has everything you want in a book: action, romance, magic, etc. Love these books and highly recommend them!!!

My go-to series. I fell in love with this series when the first book came out and I love it just as much today. I would love more from these characters.

Vampire Academy. This book ended up being pretty good. I only gave it four stars cause it was hard to get into for a while. I think maybe because there was so much backstory you felt you were somehow missing at first. I kept thinking, this must be book two, because it seems like I should know what's going on. After a while I felt like I understood the basics and could get into the story. Hopefully book two will start off at a faster pace now that I know more about the characters.

Love this author. I absolutely love this series, as well as the authors new Sydney series. Wonderfully written and easily followed. Once you start, you can't put it down. It's action packed and also stocked with lots of romance and mystery. Can't say enough about this author. Women of all ages should read and enjoy!

My new favorite series!. These books are so amazing! I've re-read the first book three times already and am planning on re-reading the rest. The books are, of course, so much better than the movie. The combination of love, and violence constantly keeps you on edge. I found myself laughing and crying with the books as if I were actually there experiencing everything with Rose and her friends. I highly recommend this book and the series.

Excessive rambling. The books overall story was pretty good however I just couldn’t get over the excessive rambling. You could read two pages without any actual dialogue and by the time you come acrosss a dialogue you forgot what the other character even said. Extremely repetitive especially with the other books in the series and just overall not something I expected to see on a bestseller list. Seems like it was written for 12 year olds and the only reason I finished the series was bc of the decent storyline. Also very hard to fall in love with the characters and rally behind any of them. Character traits felt very forced and I quickly grew tired, frustrated and bored with them.

Great book. I love this book and the book series but I have to say that there are quite a few misspelled words that could easily been fixed before it was published or printed. Overall i absolutely love this book! Thank u Richelle Mead for sharing your imaginative thoughts with all of us.

Good but not amazing. VA was a good, quick read. I will definitely continue the series but it just fell a little short of what it could be.

Amazing!. This book is so gripping! I never wanted to put it down but I couldn't big my iPod to school so I finished it in three days. You won't want to miss it! The author gives so much description but she knows when to not put too much. She knows what will keep people reading, not nodding off. The vocabulary is good and I only had to look up one words but I looked up two because I had just learned how and it was fun! Anyways, seriously read it! This isn't an average vampire novel. She create a world of its own! Off to read the next one!

The Vampire Academy is not to be overlooked!. I have yet to compare any authors to the talent of Richelle Mead. Her ability to get you truly engaged in the Moroi world is so strong that you believe you are one of their own. You feel their hurt and pain, and most of all their love. (Although this has caused me to have many mental breakdowns in the agony of this tremendous plot.) Part of the reason why you are drawn to the plot is due to the genuine best-friend relationship between Rose and Lissa, a unique bond that fires Rose with the passion for what she does. Whilst most books of Vampire center and legend come from relationship between human and vampire (romantically, i.e. Twighlight), this unique perspective makes it even more worthwhile. The riveting action does so much more than take your breath away. I absolutley reccomend this series for anyone interested in reading it. Some simple advice, I’d just buy the complete collection from the start, considering it will happen sooner or later. In a nutshell, it’s a wonderful well written book (and series), with a balanced plot.Do not pass it up!

Rose's fierce attitude and Lissa's calm demeanor really tied the girls together, not just through the bond, but through sisterhood too.

Awestruck. The moment I picked this book up, I knew I had started a new obsession. The plot was so compelling, but had all the love and friendship drama a teen craves. I have become immersed in this bright new vampire world. It is certainly the most realistic vampire book I've read. The characters are loveable and good people. They are complex but so accessible. Rose and Lissa's friendship, despite facing depression, unruly magic, relationship drama and even peer pressure is so realistic and full of a sister like love. And Rose Hathaway is the most incredible female role model you could give to a girl my age. She's someone who speaks up for what she believes is right, no matter what the consequences. She is incredibly strong and smart in a way that rivals any man, as well as a realistic, sarcastic 17 year old who isn't afraid to be sexy or break the rules for the greater good. She's not even scared of facing down Strigoi. She is a true badass. I have just finished reading the Ruby Circle, and this series has brought me so much joy I cannot even express my gratitude for such an exciting and emotional adventure. Your books teach the importance of friendship, bravery, acceptance, and love. My only complaint is I am now out of reading material on my favourite characters. I want MORE! 😂 maybe I'll have to write some fanfics, because after Vampire Academy, I could never ever quit this series, 12 books that rivalled each other in quality and character. I'd suggest this to any teenage girl, and am so glad I could live a bit of my dreams through this series.

I love it so much. To start off i was never going to read this book to start with but my best friend made me . At first i thought that it was going to be really cheezy and stuiped but it rocked. The main charater is Rose Hathaway and she is not like bella in twilight at all . She is not helpless at all. I have read the hold 6 book in the series and i can re-read them over and over again . so if you want to buy a book that you can and are willing to read again so it is not a total waste of money this is it

I don't have a credit card and I want to get all the books of vampire academy and bloodlines by richelle mead on my iPad and I can't so you should put the vampire academy books and the bloodlines books and the vampire academy ultimate guide on the free list so when a vampire academy fan wants to get it like moi they would be able to get it if they don't have a credit card or at least put a debit card option if someone don't got no credit card!!!!!!!!!
