Wow!!! Blown Away!!. Seriously I had NO idea this book would be that AMAZING!!!!! Had to give, not only this book but this entire series a five star!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼I am a "Lord of the Rings" and " Hobbit" fan, so I decided to try this series out!! Honestly I'm on the second book and I'm blown away!! If you like adventure, comedy, little romance, and surprises, this is the perfect book for you! This first book is about a boy who lives at a sort of like orphanage with other orphans. When finally it becomes choosing day.( A day to tell what job you'll have for the rest of your life ) All he's been told about his parents are, 1. His mother died having him 2. His dad was a war Hero So you can imagine he wants to be just like his dad. Well, he is a twig like 15 year old who doesn't have a lot of courage. So he gets rejected by all of the masters. Except, for one... The Rangers. People think of Rangers being the dark, grim sorcerers that you don't want to mess with. So why this boy? He ends up bonding with his master and sets out on a quest to kill the most evil, grim, terrible( whatever your call something bad ) man named Morgarath who's planning something pretty evil... This book made me laugh, think, and made me so surprised at some parts my jaw almost fell off!! Hoped you liked the review! Happy Reading!! :)

The Ruins of Gorlan. This was an overall pleasant read. I liked how the author shows that there are different ways a boy can be strong, though I wish girls were offered the same, since they’re virtually nonexistent in this story. It bothered me that Alyss, who showed initiative even before officially becoming a diplomat’s apprentice, was denied her spotlight when the group showed off their training at the festival and even partakes in contrary behavior. While I appreciate the author’s attempt to highlight bullying, I take issue with revenge and violence as the solution, and the failure to address the system and culture that allowed Horace to be tormented for so long. I am aware this was published in 2004, but I recall being in US public grade school then, learning about bystanders and conflict mediation.

Good read. I(43) read this to my son(9) and we both really enjoyed it.

Best book ever!!!. Recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense, drama, and action and who ever has any sense in what a good book is

Rangers Apprentice. The Rangers Apprentice series changed my life. I'm so grateful to have found these books. I just love it. And I love the way John Flanagan writes. I am positive you will not be disappointed if you read this series.

Highly Recommended. Once you start this series you are hooked until the end, and there are 13 long books to enjoy. Fall in love with Flanagan's characters. The audio books by Keating are the best though, great for the whole family to listen to.

Amazing. Good adventure book

Entrance into reading. I got handed this book at 11 years old, with little to no interest in reading. The first 50 pages were tedious but after that it quickly became a page turner. This opened up the world of reading so this book will always be at the top of my favorites list.

Great series. Only one complaint, why is it on at least Apple Books, book three considered sexually explicit? There is not even one moment when there is anything even out of the ordinary. That’s weird. Really weird. But that is only Apple Books. The series is fantastic.

A masterpiece. I’ve read this series three times in the past 6 years. Every book three times. Once on kindle and twice in paperback. Now that I’ve found it on here, I’ll always have my favorite series of books.

Ranger’s apprentice book 1. It started out a little slow but once it got going it never slowed down. I was inspired by Will because I think me and Will are very similar in a lot of ways. I also really liked how it showed different views throughout the story. Without them I think I would probably hate Horace. All in all it’s a great book and suggest it to anyone who would care to listen.

Read it!. I bought this book on paperback, so not on iTunes, but the same publishing. I read the entire thing in a day. Real archers like me would not think this stuff was fake, I didn't come across any unrealistic archery. I am reding the second book and I am trying to read the entire series in a month. The books are not huge but they are good. Congratulations to the author.

Love it. I’ve been out of school for a while now so I haven’t really been reading all that much but I have been traveling all over the country for the company I work for and I picked up reading again and I couldn’t stop reading this book. I’m a sucker for character development and there is plenty to go around in this book. Absolutely a 10/10 in my opinion, it’s a must read.

Enjoyable but meant for teens. I read this because of another reviewer claiming she recommends to all her students. I enjoyed this but was clearly meant for early teens. Felt a little simple and/or plain. If you want a more complex novel with intelligent plot that keeps the same lighthearted happy feeling, try Codex Alera by Jim Butcher.

Great book. While this book may be on the short side, it contains an interesting plot that captivates readers and prevents them from putting the book down (I only put the book down once because I needed to get at least a couple hours of sleep ;) The author does a pretty good job with showing the characters attributes instead of just telling. All in all, I think this is definitely a good book to read to past the time and I look forward to the next.

Ranger’s Apprentice is my LIFE. I’ve been reading Ranger’s Apprentice for years now. I have gone back and reread the series sooooo many times. Ranger’s Apprentice has always been there for me to lift me up when I’m feeling down and made me laugh when I needed encouragement! I am so connected to these characters that Will could be my baby brother and Halt could be my second dad❤️ All these characters are so well done and extremely likable (well… except for Morgarath😒) John Flanagan is probably my favorite author and I’ve been keeping up with his books and even bought the Australian edition of the ninth Brother Band because I didn’t want to wait!! If anyone is reading this review because they are on the fence about reading this, let me push you onto a Ranger horse and shoot off into this amazing series! Amazing to read on your own even better with a young reader.. I started this series in high school and came back 7 years later and finished the series. I loved it just as much as I remembered. You connect with the characters and grow with Will does from each novel. Fantasy and adventure with great character develop.

AMAZING. I agree with most of the other reviews. I love this series and I have read it 2 times in the past 2 years. This series has changed my life. Some of the people leaving reviews say it is a bit slow at the beginning but i disagree with that. I think that is is pretty entertaining throughout the entire book and the slower beginning helps with the character development. Also, to the person who wrote a review over the SAMPLE, if you haven’t read the entire book, then DONT LEAVE A REVIEW. You don’t know the story! Just leave it alone. Anyways. The entire series is amazing and I would definitely recommend.

Slow. The beginning of the book is very slow to the point where I almost put it down but it picks up towards the end

Great book!. This was a great book, and a start to a GREAT series. I loved Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, and I loved this series, but you will probably like it if you have read books like Lord of The Rings or the Hunger Games. It has less of a funny vibe, a little darker and more adult. But it is a great book for tweens and teens and adults alike, and it does have some amusing parts. Anyway, even though this book might seem slow in the beginning, do yourself a favor and read the whole thing. This book is the start to a GREAT series, as I said before. It's full of action, and the writer's style of storytelling is unique and very immersive.

Two thumbs up. This series is phenomenal and each page leaves you wanting more. As soon as I started reading them, and I've read all 12 of these and the four books of the Brotherband Chronicles, I knew they were my favorite books of all time. I recommend to any and all who love the genre. If you love LoTR, Inheritance Cycle or Dragonlance to name a few then this is right up your alley.

Buying them as ebooks even though I own the physical copies. I loved these books growing up and now I am excited to have them again so I can relive my favorite stories
