Grabs you Page 1. This book hooked me from the beginning. Great story, lots of twists and turns and good ending. Would love to see it on the screen.

Interesting. Good quick read. Gets a little convoluted near the end wrapping up but otherwise pretty good. Worth it for the price.

Awesome!. Loaded with awesomeness. I couldn't read Bad Monkeys fast enough. Matt Ruff does an excellent job at drawing you into the story.

Great Start, Interesting Middle, Confusing Finish. I am not a vigorous reader, so I should say right off that Bad Monkeys kept me engaged from the first page to the last. It is well written, interesting and a quick and fun read. It grabbed me right away and kept me fixated through the first two thirds. The storyline was great and the stage setting was a lot of fun. If I have one complaint, it would be that the story went from a really interesting "is she crazy, is she not" story to combination Matrix and Star Trek in the lat third. It felt somewhat like a completely different story, although still pretty interesting. In the end, I would definitely recommend reading it and still give it a rating of 4 stars.

Worth the read and it's FREE. Not the usual kind of book that I read but read some of the reviews and gave it a shot.

Disturbingly good. The title about covers it, this book is food and just a little disturbing. Fast paced, kept me interested through the end. Would definitely recommend.

Great Sunday Afternoon Read. A fun book to spend the day with on the couch with a cup of coffee and a blanket. Reminded me of a dark "Men in Black" without aliens.... If that makes any sense. Loved the details in the levels of organization but the character development did leave me a little cold. Overall fun and entertaining.

Bad Monkeys. Great beginning; engaging character, interesting story, fast paced. It made me want to read. Then somewhere in the late middle it became a bit of a mish mash. First I'd reread confusing parts to insure I understood what was happening, then I just started cruising past them as I recognized it was just moving the story forward. The end was above average. Net, at the beginning this was a high recommend. By the time I finished, I give it a solid read. You'll enjoy most of it, but feel just a little disappointed by unmet expectations when you finish.

Bad Monkeys!. I read it. The plot moved quickly and kept me turning the pages. I made a prediction early on that kept me engaged and wanting to reading more. However, when my prediction proved to wrong, I felt all alone and disappointed. From the climax, it all unraveled too quickly for me. Despite this, it has all the elements of a good story and it kept me engaged. The author just chose a different path for the story than I anticipated and for me that was anti-climatic. Especially, when he did an awesome job (whether it was intentional or not) of referencing the religious concept of the constant unseen battle of good vs. evil forces, sacrifice and atonement. Why reference and discuss crimes and unfortunate events that happen only to young males if it has nothing to do with climax or the resolution? Anyway, you should read it, if you have time.

Matt Ruff is wonderful. I would love to see 'Fool On The Hill' available on iBooks. My favorite book ever. But if this is the only Matt Ruff available, start reading him here. Then look for 'Fool'.
