Hauntingly good. I could not put this book down!!! Don’t let it’s short size fool you. It’s suspenseful and scary. I haven’t seen the movie but the book is amazing. It’s one of those books where you can scare yourself at age 15 but there’s no gross imagery or gory moments. It’s such a good book!! I loved it so much I read it in a day!! My favorite character is the cat. I’m not gonna lie, he’s amazing. Now I want a black cat :) Great read!!!! Recommend it for anyone 10+ and that includes adults!! You will be at the edge of your seats!

I personally think. I personally think this was so boring.

Wow!. Extremely cleverly written. That’s about it- every aspect of the book (such as imagery, character morals and values, and even things as small as the setup of the house setting itself) inspired me and attached me to the story. I would definitely read again and/or recommend!!!

I love it!. I have been in love with the movie since it came out when I was in 8th grade. And as my daughter grew I shared the experience with her and she is just as obsessed as I am. I even have a doll replica. I finally got the chance to read it and it was even better then the movie. And when my daughter is old enough I plan to gift her a copy of the book as well.

Stupendous. So different from the movie in the best ways. Wonderful read.
