The Target Book Reviews
The Target by Catherine Coulter Book Summary
FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock are faced with the case of an abducted child in this “absorbing”(Publishers Weekly) FBI Thriller.
Escaping unwanted media attention after a notorious incident, Ramsey Hunt retreats into the solitude of a cabin high in the Colorado Rockies. But his isolation is shattered when he rescues a small girl in the forest and strangers invade his private meadow with intent to kill.
Molly Santera, the little girl’s mother, catches up with Ramsey and her daughter, mistaking him for the kidnapper. When she discovers that he instead saved Emma, there’s little time for thanks. With the strangers in pursuit, the trio flee to Chicago for sanctuary.
With an unexpected assist from FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock, Molly and Ramsey begin to unravel the clues, and in the process they make an astonishing discovery as to the true nature of the target.

The Target. Awesome book couldn’t hardly lay it down! Thanks k
?. Where’s the rest of the book? Very incomplete for me
Judge Ramsey Hunt is every woman’s dream. The Target is a great suspense thriller.
Excellent. I don’t know how I missed this one but it was awesome.
Hard to put down.. I read this book in two days. Really enjoyed the plot twist and turns.
The Target. Good story with interesting characters; looking forward to meeting them again.
Too much like her other books, but not horrible.... This book feels like the author’s repeating everything from her other books. Characters are much the same in terms of physical descriptions. Even the mansions that her “heroes” live in are similarly described along with how their beautiful homes were inherited by rich grandparents or parents who were killed in car crashes or plane wrecks. And the “romances”....the “hero” always winds up falling for the woman the same way. And the sexual encounters are all the same right down to the last intimate act. Does this writer have any creativity in her? Taking the basic storylines and changing names of cities, characters and timelines is not my idea of creative story telling. I liked the first books that I’ve read but now I find the repetition annoying and pointless. NOT TO MENTION THE ENDLESS AND RIDICULOUS REMARK “PUKING TOENAILS”... Still, I feel compelled to finish her books. There’s some underlying intrigue buried between the messes...
Frustrated fan. First I love Catherine have read her books since I was 16. I am also rereading these books. I am finding now after being a fan for 20 years that I am not appreciating the "damnation" constantly said out of supposedly Americans mouth as well as how everyone of these fbi books ends with "let's get married and/or we should get married" it's ridiculous. I realized and loved the historical romances she has written so understand but it still irks me how ridiculous these books end.
The Target. I’m reading this book again because I enjoyed the story very much! It would have been a 5 star rating, but the repetitive use of the character’s names unnecessarily, in my opinion, was a bit of a drag...if “John” is speaking to “Mary” I know it and I don’t need him to address her by name more than once in the paragraph
