The Inner Circle by Brad Meltzer Book Summary

There are stories no one knows. Hidden stories. I love those stories. And since I work in the National Archives, I find those stories for a living.

Beecher White, a young archivist, spends his days working with the most important documents of the U.S. government. He has always been the keeper of other people's stories, never a part of the story himself...

Until now.

When Clementine Kaye, Beecher's first childhood crush, shows up at the National Archives asking for his help tracking down her long-lost father, Beecher tries to impress her by showing her the secret vault where the President of the United States privately reviews classified documents. After they accidentally happen upon a priceless artifact - a 200 hundred-year-old dictionary that once belonged to George Washington, hidden underneath a desk chair, Beecher and Clementine find themselves suddenly entangled in a web of deception, conspiracy, and murder.

Soon a man is dead, and Beecher is on the run as he races to learn the truth behind this mysterious national treasure. His search will lead him to discover a coded and ingenious puzzle that conceals a disturbing secret from the founding of our nation. It is a secret, Beecher soon discovers, that some believe is worth killing for.

Gripping, fast-paced, and filled with the fascinating historical detail for which he is famous, The Inner Circle is a thrilling novel that once again proves Brad Meltzer as a brilliant author writing at the height of his craft.

Great book. Great book, I couldn't put it down. A must have!

The Inner Circle. Boring!!!!!!!!

Loved it. But you have to read the next one immediately after…. The Fifth Assassin… so far so good!

Fantastic. This is the first Meltzer book I've read, and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be purchasing some of his other books

Loved it. Awesome book! Would be a great movie. Can't wait to read his next book!

The Inner Circle. That's 750 pages that I'll never get back. One of the worst books I've ever read. If I hadn't paid for it, I wouldn't have kept going. But I regret that even more, since the book is basically unfinished. What a rip-off. I want my money back!

Great book. For those who are so critical of this book...I'm not sure what they were reading. The book was suspenseful and insightful to some of the happenings in the Archives and the White House. And for them thinking the book left them hanging, well duh, there are two more books to follow. How could they have missed that? Anyway a 5 star read, and highly recommended.

Big mama. I can't believe I paid good money for this. Is there a part 2 coming or what. Only one sad little star for this.

Inner circle. My 5 year old could have written a better book.

Not bad. I'm a big fan of dan brown style. This book seems slower, but that leaves more time for the reader to think. A good story, okay characters, and lots of mystery.

AMAZING. Best book ive ever read in my life

The Inner Circle. This book stinks. It seems as if it was written for a 10 year old. If I didn't buy it for my IPad I wouldn't even finish it. I take it back it was so bad I deleted from my IPad. It was really bad.

Zombie spaceship wasteland. Wow, I really like Patton Oswald as a comedian, actor, and screenwriter...big fan is a very well written drama...but this book is terrible! Badly written, unfunny, the first chapter has more REM lyric quotes than actual writing! I get that you love REM, Patton, but a quote on every turn of the page is just irritating...are you the author, or is Michael stipe? I really had to struggle to get through this one, and force myself to keep reading just to finish it. Frankly, I'd like my $10.99 back.

The inner circle. Started well but really didn't hold up and left you holding the bag at the end. Very disappointing.

Love. Definitely good and guys its not fiction it's true. I really wish the decoded series was on here that is my favorite! The books are priced the same as if you bought them in hard or soft cover. Get it! Or at least try the sample!!!

As cheesy as they come. This novel could have been about 20 pages long...how i wish it was!!, a shallow, unbelievable story...very disappointing and very very cheesy!

Very disappointed. After watching decoded, thought his book would be good. Boring, predictable and where the heck was the ending?!? I kept thinking the download was messed up and that's why the ending was missing...but no, it appears this was intended. Who does that?!?

Pretty darn good book. Interesting plot and characters. Revealing in many ways

Mmmm ok. I thought that this could have been a great book but the characters were annoying and the constant back and forth between first person and third person story telling was annoying. Decent twists but overall save your money.

Obvious Trump supporter. nationalistic pride manipulation of the low intelligence reader.

Cant put it down. Lost sleep last night. Downloaded yesterday, could not put down. There is a bonus novel in this ebook which is really almost a thousand pages total. Read the bonus novel (450 pages) first which was as good as the inner circle book. Nearly finished whole nearly thousand pages in less than 24 hours. Great book!

I should pay more attention to the reviews!. This book is awful! Very back and forth with no real purpose? The ending was very unfulfilling and it doesn't even make me want to read the sequel. If you are looking for a book about historical mysteries this is not it.

The Inner Circle. Meltzer has done it again. I couldn't put this book down. It was a great story and should be made into a movie. Nonstop action and suspense. Two thumbs up!

Meh. Yes, there are two books by two different authors in here. Inner circle ends around page 800. VERY ABRUPTLY. So bad in fact, it really needs to be titled "inner circle:part 1" As for inner circle part one, read fast at times. Not bad, but it's one of those books totally written with a Movie in mind.

The inner circle. Brad is a great writer but, this one could of got to the point in about half the time. Would of gave it a C Now on the the other hand, I thought the bonus book was great!

Suspenseful intrigue. A hidden battle by unseen forces to control our government that has been waging for 200 years. How do you protect us. Great read.

The inner circle. As good as Jeffery Deaver with twists and turns. A little hard to swallow at the beginning but then it gets very interesting.

The Inner Circle. Very few novels can keep me entertained. Every Brad Meltzer novel I read keeps me wanting more. This one is no exception!

Couldn't put it down. Upon finding out about brad Meltzer and his style of history/mystery I knew I had to read his books. "The Inner Circle" was the first and I couldn't put it down. I am not typically a novel reader but love history and mystery so I began this book hoping it would draw me in and boy did it ever. I now have all of Meltzer's books and can't wait to read them all, beginning with "The Fifth Assassin". I highly recommend this book if you love history, mystery or just a well written "can't put it down" kind of book.

Not worth it. I really can't believe how bad this book is. I had read glowing reviews of it elsewhere, specifically USA Today. The premise is weak, the details are hard to swallow and the events...hard to believe and not very credible. If this had been a library book I would not have finished it but since I paid money for it I felt obligated to go to the unfulfilling end. Sorry, Brad.

Inner Circle. Help my interest to the end

Inner Circle. Such a disappointing ending.....too many unanswered questions!

Don't bother. I'm half way through, and I've already seen so many irritating flaws in the logic that I'm not going further simply because I've lost faith that the ending could be in any way believable and satisfying.

Boring waste of time. Rambling, poor plot, implausible, overall waste of time...

Good read. Good read! The story was fast paced and captivating. Loved the suspense. Caught myself thinking one thing, changing my mind, and then changing it again. And yes people, it is fiction, but it made me think a lot about what could happen if....
