Legit. This book is for real legit
The best English translation there is. I have read and reread (I studied mytholgical studies in graduate school) the Odyssey in no less than five different translations in English (plus another 4 translations in Spanish and Italian) and Lattimore’s is hands down the best translation there is. It reads so beautifully and yet remains so faithful to the original Greek. Cannot recommend this enough!
Great book..,.. But I am really waiting for Lattimore's translation of the Iliad--no other translation comes close. IBooks please put it up for sale ASAP!
