God bless. I am a christian, but I wanted to learn more about muslims, I feel I owe you a good rating as a counter to some christians who have posted hateful messages that don't represent my faith or yours. (I got the idea after reading flaming on the bible by athiests who never intended to read it) I think people forget Christians Mulims and Jews worship the same God. The be blaspemous to one is to the others. Our diasagreement is after the the old testemant. I hope we can have peace. My religion teaches me to love my neighbors. I belive yours does as well. Wonderful to read and understand.. I'm Buddhist, but I strongly believe one should understand and respect the beliefs of all. I'm finding this to be an easy-to-follow translation of an important tome. Read. Think. Understand. Only with understanding and respect will peace truly be possible.

Great find!. Very pleasant surprise to see Quran in here. I hope this is a proper and accurate translation. P.S. To the moron wishing Muslims to burn, may be you should spend some time and read the Quran and try to learn about Muslims first before saying stupid stuff like this. But then again being kind of a low life moron you are, this type of childish behavior is the best you can do. Do yourself a favor and visit a local Islamic center. Get educated about Muslims and Islam first and after you do so, you probably will have a different opinion.

Love it!. I have the text of the Holy Quran by the same author and it is a great translation! And to the Ramsey person, I'm sorry you feel that way and hope Allah will help you make sense of the confused state of mind that you are in.

A good translation of the Qur’an. May Allah bless him for his efforts and forgive him for his shortcomings in translating the Qur’an the best he could. Amin. Though one would get more from Arabic as far as understanding/internalizing the Qur’an, this English translation does a pretty good job if one comes to it with a humble spirit, take their time in reading it and reflecting on what they have read before carrying on with their reading. Usually, people find what they are looking for in the Qur’an (or the translation of it), unless Allah wills otherwise. It’s all based on one’s intentions. Those whom Allah favors, their hearts will open up to the Qur’an. It’s better to sit with a teacher of Qur’an and not be hasty in your judgements. As said in the translation of the Qur’an (39:9): Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition.

Just one thing. It's good but call me a purest but it should be in Arabic،or transliteration with it too

I'm Muslim and I'm proud of it,. In spite of all the gossips and the people whose jobs just to rumor about Islam, many people are being Muslims everyday from different religions and even "the godless" people some of them realized that must be something "Great","Big" and "Mercy" behind this well organized universe.Not "Jesus" or any other worshiped one or thing, could make even a fly or could push any hazard from you. There must be people who look for the truth and start thinking, "is this who/which I'm worshiping the true God? Or for those who're godless, doesn't anyone controlling this universe? Good price.. I recently bought the iQuran app for 11$ and was very surprised to see this for 99 cents. Anyways, I rated this app because of the stupid Ramsey person who doesn't know a thing about Muslims.

OK. Being a historian, I have read all the major ancient texts. This is a classic, unfortunately, I would not consider it among the top 50. It does not proceed in a chronological sense, at times it seems lost, and bounces around topics, which were already covered in earlier chapters. This results in a sluggish read. I find the Koran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, edited by John Fabian easier to read with paragraphs broken into lines, phrases for verses, which are combined. This helps for an easier read, thereby helps the reader understand the Koran much better.

Alsalaam alekum, To those of you who are asking about the accuracy of this translation, yes, the translation of Yusuf Ali is considered to be the most widely accepted translation among Muslims. The local mosque gives out free copies of this translation of the Quran to those interested in Islam. The Imam there told me Yusuf Ali's translation is the most accepted. I hope this helps. Quran. I love my religion its the only thing that make me feel like a good person and be happy . A strange classic!. It consists of mostly praise for Allah and condemnation of the “unbelievers”. It is bizzarely amusing and written in a clunky archaic way that lends an unintentional humorousness to the whole affair especially in the passages containing violence towards unbelievers(The stunning punishment of humiliation seized them!). It approaches what we may even call beauty at times(passages abound regarding the rain clothing the earth in green)and seems to be a book wherein anyone whoso wants, by pointing to a verse at random could take a reasonable amount of good or bad into his daily life as with the flip of a coin if he were to adopt this text as an authoritative and legitimate instruction for god’s creation to abide by.

THIS E-BOOK CONTAINS MALWARE. I've read most of this translation and it is definitely a very interesting read. I think everyone should make an effort to disrupt their Eurocentric/Americana mindset by delving into these texts. THAT BEING SAID, I have traced malicious code to php links in this ebook. So DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION. I wish I could remove it completely from my library but it wont let me. It's very frustrating.

Not the Full Version. This version has Yusuf Ali's translation, but not his extensive translators notes and commentary that make the hard copy version so valuable. Also, unlike the hard copy, this iBook does not have the actual, Arabic version of the Quran. Since there are free versions of the basic Yusuf Ali translation like you get here available both in iBooks and as part of free standalone applications, there is no reason to buy this. The description should be modified to note that translators notes, original Arabic version, and commentary have been stripped out in this iBook version. The icon picture looks like the hard copy, making this iBook particularly deceptive.

widely accepted. this is the most widely accepted translation of the quran but there are mistakes with the translation and creed issues. if you want a more accurate translation, try "The Noble Quran" by muhsin khan and dr. hilali, or if your not a fan try "Sahih International Translation." this (SI Version) is a very good translation.

@xmattdabx. It is fine to translate it into other languages. The only thing is that you're not getting the exact meaning because as it is known, sometimes a word in one language doesn't exactly translate to another language. It is encouraged to learn Arabic to read the Quran, however it is absolutely fine to have it translated. Just make sure the translation is reliable.
