Path of the Assassin Book Reviews
Path of the Assassin by Brad Thor Book Summary
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Scot Harvath series and “heir to Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum” (Chicago Tribune) returns with this unputdownable, white-knuckled thriller following the Secret Service agent as he’s on the trail of the world’s most ruthless terrorist.
After rescuing the President from kidnappers in Thor’s roaring debut, The Lions of Lucerne, Secret Service agent Scot Harvath shifts his attentions to rooting out, capturing, or killing all those responsible for the plot. As he prepares to close out his list, a bloody and twisted trail of clues points toward one man—the world’s most dangerous terrorist.
Only one problem remains: Harvath and his CIA-led team have no idea what the man looks like. With no alternative, they are forced to recruit a civilian—a woman who has survived a brutal hijacking and is now the only person who can positively identify their quarry. From the burning deserts of North Africa to the winding streets of Rome, Harvath must brave a maelstrom of bloodshed and deception before the world is engulfed in flames.

My New Favorite Author. Sense I couldn't put down the first novel I decided what the heck. Brad Thor is now my new favorite author. Keep it coming!
Path of the assasin. A good book for men who liked the "A-TEAM" on 70's television. If thats not you, then look elsewhere.
Great read. Harvath is a great character and Thor really does know how to keep you turning the pages! I could not put this book down. Thor is one of my favorite writers along with Vince Flynn and Nelson DeMille.
Excellent. Brad Thor delivers as always. Can't wait to continue reading this series.
Path of The Assassin. Brad Thor. A Navy Seal, now a Secret Service Agent Scott Harvath is assigned to a CIA unit to capture or eliminate a brother and sister terrorist team whose main mission in life is to destroy Israel and America. Non stop action on every page!! A stupendous read!! My highest recommendation!!
Great read. Having been to many of the places mentioned in the book I loved it. Great story. Great plot well told. Love the writing style as well. Now, on to the next volume!!
Easy read. This is the second book I have read by this author. I try to give authors at least three tries. I found this one to be exactly the same as the first in rhythm and strategy. While it is entertaining, it's equally predictable. That's not necessarily a bad thing, some readers like that. I do wish the author would slow the closing up a bit. He tends to wrap up the story in a rather quick fashion and in doing so leaves out a number of details. Additionally he neglects to develop characters that have real potential while over developing disposable ones. I see a good deal of potential in this author. Maybe for my third try I'll take a look at one of his more recent books. All in all a solid three star book. If you like international spy novels, I suggest giving Daniel Silva a try.
Path of the Assassin. Just another Brad Thor novel this time makes several leaps in plot line
Book is Awed. Loved this book
That was fun. Enjoyed the book and the twist
path of the Assassin. There are no words for perfection! The man has a phenomenal gift, that of a true story teller. FJD Retired Det. N.Y.P.D.
My favorite so far. Best book I’ve read in a long time. The twist near the end was amazing and literally made my jaw drop when I read it. Perfect storyline and really had me guessing. Best book I’ve read of Thor’s thus far!
Amateur Hour. Lions of Lucerne was not impressive as my 1st Harvath but I kept telling myself give it another go, read the 2nd book which is positioned as Part 2 to close out loose ends of book 1. Bad decision on my part. It didn't feel like I needed to finish Part 2 after I completed the book. Harvath is just not compelling enough as a character, try as I did to like him. His sense of humor, his dialogue style is just high school level. I don't demand vey high standards. I look for entertainment escape and make plenty of allowances for fiction books. But this book just annoyed me non stop. The plot was dumb. The big twist in the book was just like, ok whatever. I've been trying, maybe too hard, to find new series like The next Mitch Rapp, Will Robie, Pike Logan...Scot Harvath I now know for certain, ain't it. It's too bad. I tried...but by the end of it I couldn't wait to end the book and the 2 book experience of Harvath.
Page turner!!. From start to finish....action packed with twists and turns. Super book.
Picks Right Up. Picks right up where the first book left off and ties right in to it very well. Kind of felt like an extension of the first book rather than a separate chapter in the series. On to book #3!
Good. Good
Well organized!!. But the ending was a bit too abrupt. Except that, I loved this book.
Path of the Assasin. I was looking for something mindless when I purchased this book, and it fell below expectations. The hero, a genius and a noble master of espionage gleans essential truths from Fox News which he is forever "flipping on" in hotel rooms to catch up with what's happening in the world. The novel has all the wit and charm that one might find in a room full of cubicles populated by salaried writers wondering what they've done with their lives. If one were to use food as an analogy, this Glenbeckian tale would be a can of cheeze whiz propelled by harmless fluorocarbons.

Fun read. A real page turner, Scot Harvath is the new Jack Ryan.
One of the worst novels ever. What little story there is is spread between pages and pages of the author distorted view of the world and obvious hate of every thing unamerican A waste of time and money
