Amazing!. I never rate anything but I enjoyed this book so much I had to take a minute to give it 5 stars.
Still fresh after 129 years.. This is a brilliant inception of an actual time capsule within a well scribed book.
Awesome. Great book, I wish there was more! I specifically liked the beginning where they talked about the theories, but it was great all around.
Loved it. 10/10. Finished with a huge grin on my face. Brilliantly written, unexpected and worth every second!
A fun read.. Imagine the w-a-y distant future from the perspective of the 19th century. Makes an interesting and fun read.
A great read, even 100 years later.. I'm only 13 years old, and this story blew my mind. It's amazing a man that lived in the 1890's could make up a story like this. Or did or did he?...
Wonderment Never Dies. I first read this book at the age of seven. At that time, this book fueled my boyish imagination and instilled in me the spirit of exploration and an undying hunger for knowledge and excitement. It gave me the courage and motivation to try many new things and to challenge myself in all that I do. I am seventeen now. This is my fourth time reading this book. And I feel like I'm seven again.
The Time machine. This book is a never ending struggle for the main character the time traveler. He has traveled back in time and almost got eaten by morlocks and went to the future and met these huge crab like things that all want to eat him. It is a real page turner and a would recommend it to anyone
Amazing!. Very thought provoking and interesting! Definitely recommend to all. H. G. Wells is a wizard of words! (Note: I’m a middle schooler. The book was a little challenging at parts, but, overall, it made sense. Don’t be scared!)
oh my goodness. please read this book. this is such a good book. i cannot inhale or exhale after reading this. i promise that you’ll see why i cant breathe after you read this book
reading this bored in class was a great way to pass the time.. Great book, especially being a free one. Wonderful plot, wonderful imagery, great wording. There is nothing to dislike about this book, the storytelling is beautiful, and the ending is perfect and mind-blowing. Easily recommend this for anyone who likes to read books with large concepts. Awesome read for any age.
Ok book. This book is weird but it is good and confusing
Great!. Superb book of mystery! A little confusing at the beginning, but ends up as a loving story of trust in the unknown future.
The 4th dimension. The beginning was quite perplexing I admit, however, as the story progressed so did my interest in this work. The idea of time as a dimension was what really drew my interest. Physics buffs will love this book, that isn't to say it's a purely scientific work, philosophical questions arise as well: morality, ethics, and virtue. I enjoyed the book immensely it juxtaposed subjects of interest into a short novella without jeopardizing the work itself. To the 4th dimension, I salute it's wonders and perplexities.
Great book. Awesome! Seriously, my new favorite book.
Wow great book!!. I was so happy with this book, and it was free! Definitely get this book. It broadened my word vocabulary and was not one of those boring books usually made from long ago. This book is not hard to read at all, especially with the dictionary built in when you hold down on the word! It doesn't get much easier than apple, I must say. I never read, and I had to read this book for high school, so if i can read it, anyone can! Recommend it to EVERYONE! Come on now! It is FREE! Give it a shot! Haha :) ***SPOILER ALERT!*** I was not expecting the Time Traveller to disappear! I was hoping there would be a sequel including the next adventure and descriptions of pictures! I do enjoy though how Wells leaves it to your imagination to come up with what happened to him.
Required Read. This book is definitely not the best science fiction tale. It is, however, an exceptional tale about a time traveller that was written in 1898! It's amazing to read about H.G. Wells' view of 6,000 years into the future. He wrote it over 100 years ago yet his guess as to the state of the earth is as good as anyone could write today. Go read this book to read, if nothing else, why time machines are a household term today.
Didn’t like it. A rare case where the movie was better than the book.
The Time Machine, by Jules Verne. a classic
A truly great story. H. G. Wells at his very best. I have read this book three times in my 62 years and have enjoyed each time.
Amazing. I really don't know how to describe this book, besides the fact that it seems to pull you in. It's an amazing story, and I've never read another book like it!
Great. An absolute classic that everyone should read!
Cool. This book was pretty cool I guess.
Kind of Disappointing. Very abstract storytelling, narrating a worldview better suited for the 19th century. This a great read, if you’re looking to pass the time.
Breathtaking. I recently picked up reading again and I cannot stress enough how much this book did to remind me of the power of my imagination. Paired with the beautifully written words in this book, I delved deep into each page. I finished the book, and to say I was in the shoes of the time traveler is a huge understatement. I felt like I had gone on the entire trip myself!
Great. I finished this book in 3 days love it and it's free
Amazing. I found this book to be very interesting. This book was assigned to me as a summer reading. I do not like to read, but I really got sucked in, by the story. I may say that H.G. Wells is and amazing writer, and that this book is really entertaining.
Excellent!. Intellectually written with flowing words to ignite the imagination!
True Insight. This is such an incredible piece of history. It comes from a time when the writer is not so concerned with the technology and special effects that science offers. Instead, he explores what could happen in the heart, in the development of the personality of humanity. We see here the forebears of so much that was written and created in other media over the next century. But much classier.
True Classic. A deep thought provoking book, which challenges a new generation of readers to discover their meaning, and our life.
Classic intro to time travel. Short book and a great read. From wikipedia: The book's protagonist is an English scientist and gentleman inventor living in Richmond, Surrey, identified by a narrator simply as the Time Traveller. The narrator recounts the Traveller's lecture to his weekly dinner guests that time is simply a fourth dimension, and his demonstration of a tabletop model machine for travelling through it. He reveals that he has built a machine capable of carrying a person, and returns at dinner the following week to recount a remarkable tale, becoming the new narrator:
An amazing book. A lot times when I read a book I break it into pieces. Like I say I'll read 20 pages a day or 3 chapters a day, but with this book I didn't do that I read the entire book in one whole day. This book is one of the best books I have ever read and it truly is a classic. I highly recommend it to science fiction lovers like me.
Loved it. Well, it was an awesome read at 4:30 in the morning, and I was actually hoping to fall asleep to it, but after three pages I was pretty much hooked. I'm pretty sure anybody who reads this will love it. It was pretty freaking awesome. I'm kinda sad it ended already :(
The Time Machine. A must read.
Wonderful tales. I've just finished reading The Invisible Man, War of the Worlds and now The Time Machine. Loved them all! Fascinating studies of science at the turn of the last century. And great looks into the Victorian lifestyle and psyche. I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys reading classics.
Timeless Work. Amazing this was written in late 1800's. An easy engaging and timeless read!!
Amazing. I have no words palpable to the tongue to describe the sheer greatness of this book. The imagery and diction go beyond my mind and take me into the future. It was almost as if I was the time traveler and felt all his pain, sorrow, and happiness. This was an excellent read.
Captivating!. H.G. Wells was ahead of his time when he wrote this classic. In every chapter, he invites the reader to use his/her imagination and to visualize the facial expressions and tone of voice that the Time Traveler used when telling his story. In my childhood, my only familiarity of this classic was the film adaptation of George Pal. Reading this book was like watching a special edition of the film.
:)good for bedtime. Captivating.. puts u in another world
Terribly written. This book was written terribly.
Author is inventive. Title says all
A must read for all.. Get lost in a simpler time's future. This will have your imagination running wild. A literary work of art that should be read by everyone. I must say the digital probably looses a little of the magic from the loss of page-turning suspense, the weight of a book in hand, and the old musty smell of a leather blood.
Sci-fi Treasury. This is a really good science fiction book. H. G. Wells conveys details in amazing clarity and I look forward to reading his other novels! This is my first H.G. Wells novel.
Timeless Classic and BEAUTIFUL. THIS book is absaloutely a work of beauty. if you want a good book, read this book. it is tragic and scary and it paints a picture so vivid that you'll be haunted for days...LOL. just read it now! YOU WON'T REGRET IT.
The Time Machine. Very well written, excelent.
First time reading this classic!. What a delight!!! A wonderful adventure. Truly timeless.
Wells. I’ve waited 52 years to read this book, it was not what I thought it would be.

Unsurpassed genius. H.G Wells has pioneered the works of Science fiction for a vast portion of the 19th century and 20th century. He has not only predicted the course of warfare and humanity in his book, outlining the social inequality that is ever present in our modern age, he has produced novel characters that use not language, but contemplation to express themselves. This very notion is unique upon books loved and enjoyed by all. All in all, the time machine blends a prediction and doubt, reality and fiction in a manner that is both enjoyable and thrilling. In actual fact, I would be willing to say that H.G well has accurately found a possible and highly plausible future.
Great Book. ''twas a great book. I enjewed it quite a lot and it was a great read.
Great book!. Very interesting to read!

Absolutely Incredible!. This book had been extremely interesting and unique, ranging from different possibilities of the future and how our world is divided. It was an exciting read and I highly recommend it!
Recommended!. I thought this book was interesting. It made me wonder about the future of the human race. Check it out!
Essential Reading. Absolutely essential reading for any fan of classic literature.
Awe. An amazing journey to a future from a world that may inhabit your dreams and your nightmares all the szme. A true classic.
Amazing. H.G. Wells' style of writing had me ensnared by its rich detail and fascinating characters. To me, it had a similar feel to War of the Worlds, another of his great books. It not only gives us an important look into our possible future, but also a look back in time, to when this book was written, giving insight into the changes in our societal direction since this book was published. I highly recommend it!
Great!. This is a really fun and quick read!
Enjoyed the read. ...
Incredible. Wells has always been one of my favourite authors, but I have to say that out of all his books I've read, this one is by far the best. The way he describes the world of the Future is unbelievable. I could easily imagine the scenery around me and what it would have been like to be there. My only issue is that it is a short novel. 113 pages if memory serves. I really wish that he would have written more, but it really is an exquisite book. I would recommend it to anyone.
