Read this book. This book has a very good writing style and tells you the things you need to know.
Great Work!. Thoroughly enjoyed this!
Very Impressive Read!. This is one to keep around, and when read new lessons learned!
machiavelli is dad. we stan
Great Book. The story is terrible but the book is very well written.
Old to new. An interesting book ugh great insights and though provoking examples of history and knowledge. Definitely worth the read to learn not only about history, but also how to act in business.
Spacing way off. All of the spacing is way off for the text of the book. There are random new lines throughout.
Terrific. It was the most best book ever personally it is my favorite book.
Good Political Teaching Reference; Original Print is a Tough Read. I bought this book while I was deployed to Iraq, and ultimately it helped me my second year of deployment as a Contractor Inspector during the Embezzlement scandals of 2005-2008, but I bought it in the original “Old English,” as it was written in the 16th Century. Should’ve bought a more modem edition.
Controversial. It is well known that the prince is very controversial, but I found myself agreeing with Machiavelli and everything he said made sense. I'm only a sophomore in high school, but this translation of the prince was comprehendible. It was well worth the read.
10/10 gr8 masterwork. i stan wholeheartedly
Manipulation 101. Machiavelli cooks a banger, with historical references from Greece to 1500s Europe on how to lead and control a populace as a prince, with expert detail in the manipulation of others.
Weak translation of a not so great “great book”. The book is one of political advice to the Medici family. It advocates ruthlessness and the ends justify the means. Most of the time one has to be familiar with the politics of sixteenth century Italy to follow along. The translation is very pompous and off putting. I read this in high school and thought it might be a better read with several more decades of life experience. It wasn’t. This translation with its notes didn’t help either. I strongly recommend the art of war over the prince.

Caliban. This is one of the best books I have ever read. Right from the start it was evident that what was true in the courts of medieval Florence, Venice, Milan and Papal Rome is equally true in the politics of today. Keeping promises only when expiedent to do so - Clegg and his promise on student loans - or the use of misdirections and untruths to retain power or influence are still very much in evidence today. Read this book to understand the likes of Blair, Obama and Cameron and why those who retain power are never really truly to be trusted, after all they often got there by employing the tactics in this book.
Great method of living. As long as you take the extreme points with a pinch of salt
A great book, then and now!. This book should be on threading list for all who want to get head in life, not only business. It is by no means as dark, but has common sense at the heart of it. Read it, and bear in mind the context of the times it was written in. Enjoy!
Good and informative. 👍
The Prince. A timeless piece with messages that are as relevant today as they were when it was written 500 years ago. Society might change but people don't, so tomorrow's winners will be those who follow the rules within, either because they read them here or because they were inclined to through instinct.
