Bad. This is the worst book in the world!!!!!! It says it's for kids you can't even see the pictures!!! WORST BOOK EVER!!!!!!! It doesn't even deserve 1 star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Old schoolbook. This is an old school book from the 18th century. Many of the words used then do not mean the same as they do now. A previous review pointed to the use of the word "mistress" as an example for the letter "m" and condemned the author for using the word. When this primer was written the mistress of the house was the lady who was in charge, usually the master's wife.

Nice pictures, weird book. I liked the pictures in this book, but it had the most RANDOM things! I also found a few grammatical mistakes, but otherwise, not bad.

What the...?. Not recommended for kids. Pictures are strange and so is the "advice" given on every page. Did this come from the 1800's???

Love it!. Book is very dated and that is what I find so beautiful. Simple pictures with great teachings. Before giving this book a bad review please do take into account this is from another time period . Language has changed, so some of the words clearly have meaning that is far different than today. I read to my son a lot and he would enjoy the simplicity of this book if he could see the pics better. At the end if the book it was mentioned that the pictures were not in great shape , but all pages were included. This book was added in the best of intentions and I appreciate this addition of the book. What a gem. I only wish I knew more about it. The author and so forth. It is likely so old that it was sketched and written with little more. It’s sad that some of the reviewers seemed to be quite close minded. This shows how the world which we live in changes. That is a lesson to our children in itself. The teachings were simple and very good examples. My thoughts are very different from many of the other reviewers

ZERO stars. This may be THE WORST book available in the iTunes store. "M stands for Mistress"?? Really??! The pictures are strange and the text is extraordinarily unusual and dated. It seems like it may have been written in the early 1800s in another language and then poorly translated into english. This book should be removed from the bookstore. It's not worth the space it takes up on their servers.

Stupid book. I didn't even get the pictures! The pictures look like there from AD! All it is, is a book saying random things like one said there are 3 strawberry's on a tree. The book should be called " RANDOM THINGS FROM AD"

Simple and Excellent "old" book. I am a book lover and this is an old book. I love it, however when reading to my grandchild there are a few pages that I choose to skip as they are not politically correct.

Zero star rating!. Page 22 calls a heavy, mentally challenged-appearing girl "strange" looking. A few pages later, the text reads "Do be kind to the poor black boy." Please, remove this book from the offered texts. It is considered a picture book for today's children?! Not in the 21st Century.

Great little book!. This obviously isn't a modern kid's book. It appears to be an old schoolbook. It is very interesting to see how people lived back when the book was used. There is actually some good advice inside that people today often forget! I would recommend taking five minutes to read this and get a better understanding of this people lived in the past.

Fascinating.... I read through many of the reviews. At first I did not want to download this book because there were so many negative comments. Then I began to read positive comments, explaining that this is indeed a very old book. It was free, so I checked it out. I like it. Would not recommend it to anyone who doesn't have the care or patience to understand other perspectives other than his own. But for the curious, it is quite an interesting book!

This is a book. This has most of the qualities of a book. It is very book-like. If you are looking for a book this could be right up your alley.
