Rich use of language and intriguing plot development. Characters have depth. Vocabulary is refreshing. Plot is nicely complicated. Definitely a good read. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. One point of concern: if character's clothes were cut away to take care of wounds, laundering them would be insufficient for them to be wearable again. Mending the leather would be necessary. A few typos (mostly missing words) but nothing really distracting.

A MUST READ!. Please read this first book and you'll fall in love with the characters. I bought and read the rest of the series and it was truly an amazing story. Great plot, characters, themes, everything! Please read!

The Queen’s Blade. The story was fast paced, intelligent and kept you guessing the whole time. It is about political intrigue, love found and lost, revenge and finally sacrifices made for teh good of people. LOVED IT!

The Whole Series!. One of my favorite books now! If you like this one, you will love the rest of the series! I read it all within a few weeks and this is a great book.

Worth it.. Plot good, emotion shallow. This is a sic fi/ fantasy so I'm not surprised. I found some dialogue and background extraneous. With expansion, this series ought to be published.

Worth reading. The story was well written yet not too dense. The characters were very charming and realistic. Some parts seemed a bit long to get through though, and the cliffhanger ending was a bit disappointing, for nothing in the story actually seemed to be resolved until you downloaded the next segment of the series. Not a bad read though for some down time.

Read it in one sitting. Why the hell is this FREE? The beautiful and clever prose alone should be enough, and I loved the characters to absolute death. A very character driven story, with a skillfully described world and enticing plot. Please continue writing, and know that if you charge for Part 2, I will gladly pay!

Reminds me of Riftwar. The writing reminds me of Feist's Riftwar saga. Nice to find a story set in a fleshed out world with lots of multidimensional characters.

The Queen's Blade. I originally got the book thinking it was something else. After reading it all the way through I'd have to say it was a nice read and I will be reading the rest of them as soon as I can.

Entertaining read. While not the epic novel of an Erikson or Cook, this was an intrigue filled, well thought out novel. I look forward to the next. The focus on just a small number of characters makes it a quick read but entertaining nine the less.

A New Favorite!. I just finished this whole series of books, and I am blown away. I absolutely love Blade, and the story is continuously good and I hated having to pause my reading. I will say that the author does overuse certain phrases but it's still a read and I highly, highly recommend this series!!!

The Queen's Blade. Fun read and loved the character Blade. Would have liked a little more of the story before author ended it. However, will look forward to reading the next book 'Sacrifice'.

Good. When I started this book I was hesitant to enjoy it because of some of the negative reviews, and it does start off a little slow. However, I enjoyed it so much that I bought the rest of the series and have gone on the read and enjoy most of the other series by this author. I never write reviews but I enjoyed this so much I felt the need to. I would absolutely recommend.

Excellent. Good story. Gripping to the wnd

Good book. Started a little slow and I did almost give up on it, however very glad that I stuck with it because before very long I was hooked. The Queen and her Blade had me captivated and I can now not wait to read the next part of the story.

Excellent. Super book, excellent series. Really enjoyed them all and the best part is the price, correct for an ebook.

Okay. The writer certainly has a good command of language, and the editing was faultless. I did, however, find that some of the descriptive detail became unecessary at times. There were areas of repetition (i.e. a great deal of eating, staring out of windows and flushing of cheeks) and there were also some plot inconsistencies. I found that the characters were hard to get to grips with, and I think that's down to the narrative style. I would have preferred a greater insight into their thoughts and feelings, since their absence left the book feeling hollow. The character of Blade did start to emerge by the latter stages of the book, and it was nice to see some development in him. Overall it's an okay read, and the writer has the potential to improve through the series.

Addictive!. This is the most addictive series I've read in a while! I've been reading one book per day and find myself wanting to know what will happen next! Great read!

A real page turner. A very good read, much better than I was expecting, it became a one night page turning extravaganza that has left me wanting more, with in depth and descriptive writing, that until now I had not expected from a "free" download.

OK?. I read this as an avid fan and reader of fantasy among other genre and I found it OK. There were some nice original ideas but also some played out traditional themes, which were not presented in any real depth or complexity. I also found the main character unbelievable, and prone to stupidity, which for an assassin is not exactly career enhancing. All in all it was OK.

Amazing series!!!. I love this series, after discovering it less than a week ago I have read all the books and it is not a disappointment! I did not expect such a good continual story line from an ebook so it was a wry nice surprise :) the only downside is that it's so addictive that u need to read the next book and they are not free. But considering they are cheaper than an actual book, I was fine with the expense. Great series, love it! With lots of nice twists and turns :)

A truly amazing read. I read this book a year ago and have not come across anything as good since! So decided this book was worth my first review as I'm still in awe of this story line.. The books just get better and better and if fantasy, crime, royalty, love is your hit list then download this awesome book and read Blades Quest!!! x

The Queens Blade. I am just about to start the fourth book in this series and have been captivated by the story. I would recommend this to any one who likes a good thriller/ action/ fantasy story. Five stars from me.

Not bad. The first thing I thought when I was reading this was 'way too much description man'. I don't think it was really necessary for all the descriptions to be in there. But apart from that, pretty good! Great plot, love the title and all-round cool read.

The Queens Blade. Started off too slow for me, but patience is a blessing, warmed to it after about 120 pages, now looking forward to the sequels and the prequels.

It will get you!. Once you get past the slow start, this is a fascinating tale. I've now read all six books and they each get better and better. A very unique storyline and keeps you going right to the conclusion.

Excellent. It's been a long time since I couldn't put a book down, and that's exactly what happened with this book. I'm curious about the characters, and where the story is going. It's well written, and I actually had to look up a word which hasn't happened in a long time, as most books now seem to be written simply. Captivating. I really enjoyed reading this book. Blade, the silent assassin, keeps you wanting more. You really want nothing but for him to succeed. I highly recommend this e-book. Why 4 stars? Well...I would have gladly given the book 5 stars, but they cut the story off right at a pivotal point and hit you with a $4 fee for the second book to complete the story. Very frustrating! I dislike when publishers do this type of money grab. Charge the money upfront & let me read the whole book. If you offer a free story... Keep it free!!

T C Southwell queen's Blade series. A Page Burner! This was a great series that I was unsure of until the 3rd or 4th chapter of book 1. I just couldn't seem to stop wanting more. A little bit of everything to keep readers reading! Southwell takes u on a journey from start to finish with Blade, whom u just want to succeed.

Fun and adventurous.. I really enjoyed this book. Took a bit to really snag me, but when I choose to finish a book over watching a movie I know I'm really enjoying it. Greeat read and look forward to reading the next in the sequel.
