Stopped readin after the first few chapters.. Boring, unrealistic, and stupid. I almost never stop reading a book but i just couldn't keep going.

A Time For Patriots. I've been in the Civil Air Patrol for years and want only to add to the author's words of appreciation and admiration for those with whom we serve. I have never been affiliated with a finer group of dedicated and committed search professionals whose selfless effort to help in time of need is almost beyond understanding. I am proud to serve. Not his best work.... This simply was not his best work. It appeared to be simply a continuation book. Very disappointing. The ending was boring and came to no conclusions except buy the next book. Do not recommend.

A TIME FOR PATRIOTS. Another adventure romp by Dale Brown. I have read all of his great novels and thoroughly enjoyed every Word of every novel he has written especially this one. Thanks Dale for another great adventure. Please take good care of Sky Masters. I can' wait for the next adventure. Michael Owens

Lousy!!!. Disjointed. Disappointed. Disavow. Do not waste good money after bad. C'mon Dale, you can do better than this.

Slow read, not up to par. I have read everything this author has written. This is not up to his usual standards. Long on words, short on story. Not as compelling his other works. I hope he does better next time.

Profoundly unreadable. Dale brown's first few books were inventive, original and absorbing. They were hard to put down. But his discipline has devolved as the series continued and the result in this instance is a disjointed, rambling story whose characters are thinly drawn caricatures all in service of a plot that frankly made no sense at all. The ending is not even remotely believable but then neither were the beginning and middle. The book's only constant seems to be that, with one exception, every action taken by every character in the book is inexplicably stupid. That one exception is a detailed account of a search and rescue operation run by the Civil Air Patrol - an outfit with which Mr. Brown clearly has had personal experience. But even here he falls down as he regales us with a flood of facts and details about this organization in a way that quickly bores us while not serving to advance the plot in any meaningful way. My modest suggestion to Mr.Brown would be for him to read a better class of literature himself in the hopes of drawing his own work up to a more rational level.

Stupid. I quit reading at page 208. Stupid story line. Had everything from Mexicans crossing the border to austerity government budget implications to homeland terrorist. Can't believe this is on anyones best seller list. Stupid.
