The Monkey’s Raincoat. What a surprise. How did I go so long without reading Robert Crais “Elvis” series?? If you like “Bosch” or “Jesse Stone” you will love this book. Even though the jokes are a little corny, it works for the character. Well written with a good build of suspense to the finale. Can’t wait to read the next in series.
Loving it. Been reading some serious stuff, needed a break. This delivered in spades! Some great LOL writing and great characters. Going to read the next right now…

Fun diversion! LA makes me smile.. I had completed reading Jefferson and needed a "can't put it down" mystery. This fit the bill. It had me chuckling and curious. Not quite a four star but more than a 3.75 star novel. Elvis is a quirky detective with more quips than Any late night comedian. I might read another when I need to smile.
