An invisible thread.. Simply phenomenal! I have no other word to describe it besides phenomenal. I saw an interview on the Fox News show , Hannity, only a few short days ago and instantly knew I had to hear more, i needed the the entire story. This remarkably phenomenal book had me incredibly invested in their relationship and I was truly hooked and moved. I smiled, laughed and hysterically cried (numerous times), I became more and more emotionally invested page after page. It was a moving story that had me thinking long and hard about my own life. Admittedly, I even became envious, in an unexplainable way, of how wonderful and fulfilling it must have been for both Maurice and Laurie to live this friendship first hand. And for us, the readers, well i for one feel lucky to have read and to learned from it. Thank you for sharing, Laurie and Maurice. I rate this book with infinite stars. It was just, well, phenomenal! Amazing book. Touching history .. An example to be followed. This book taught me a lot. How to be strong and not give up while helping somebody. I do volunteer work In Brazil and it is not always easy to keep it in a long term basis, personal plans always come in the way and sometimes we feel discouraged, but reading Laurie history made me really confident.

An Invisible Thread. A story that will stay with me. It reminds me of two friendships in my life, quite different in nature, but destined to happen and be connected together just the same. Years ago, I described one of my friendships as being connected by a 'big fat rope' (and it still is to this day). And last year I described the second friendship as 'always connected, regardless of time or circumstance', and I feel it will be so always. The book and positive message of the people in it are a testament to the spiritual good in this complicated world.

Human kindness at it's best!!. I could not put this book down. It took me 2 days to read it was just that good! These two individuals were destined to meet. God allowed them to get exactly what each one wanted out of life. She wanted a child and he wanted a mom. I love how their relationship formed this incredible bond. An amazing story.

Heart string. This book has caused me to look at life in a different way. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful life; however that life is not for me to just sit and be satisfied but to use it to impact another! I appreciate the journey that Laura and Maurice took me on. Parts of the journey were not fun because I had to really look at myself and reflect on the "Maurice's" that had crossed my path but I failed to notice. I am encouraged going forward on this journey that I will keep my eyes and heart open for those that God has place in my life for such a time as this.

An invisible Thread. I could not stop turning the pages,.,my tears flowed through each page. From my own life I know the power and beauty of touching lives..I know pain and loss and Laura Shroff said it all exactly the way it is. What an amazing woman,,the greatest gift in life is touching someone's life..give them hope and love and she did that for Maurice who was so hungry and needy and most of all accepting and so anxious to better his life. The message our society should be getting is that children are deeply wounded and traumatized by alcohol and drug fueled adults who should be protecting them.
