Compelling story. This was my first book to read by this author. It was skillfully crafted around the lives of two young adults brought together under unusual circumstances. I was so drawn into the story. It’s been along time since I read a book that was very difficult to set aside to do other tasks. I will most certainly look for more books by Kristen Heitzmann.

Fanatical Christian Novel. There are some fun things about this book. Both main characters defy gender stereotypes, the plot is interesting, and in general I was having a good time reading this book. UNTIL it seems to become all about Jesus and converting the main character to Christianity. This book should be recategorized.

Secrets. Great story line. I can hardly wait for the next book in this line. The characters were well developed, you can almost see them while you read the book. The author did a great job with the story line. It was believable and not sappy. The Biblical references only served to strengthen the story. Thank you for this great novel. These also gave the reader good references when daily troubles arise. Thought provoking too.

God, Jesus, Lord. If you like religious novels you might think this is okay. Not that well written. I must admit that I skimmed the last 80 percent, even skipped most of it. Don't worry if you do this, you won't miss a thing. Repetitive and boring. Publisher needs to get the category straight. There are more than 250 references to the above deities. This is more than obnoxious; it is plain offensive. If you trust in The Lord, who watches you day and night, you might find cash in your cellar... Oh well.

Secrets. Excellent reading material!

Christian novel with a hint of story. I was intrigued buy the Antonia storyline so I kept reading, only to find out that by the end of the book it really wasn’t answered. Instead, it was all about turning rese into a Christian. The book had so much potential but I don’t need a church service to go with it.

Secrets. This was a very well written book. I loved every part of it and I will highly recommend to all the readers I know.

Good read. Enjoyed the story, characters and mystery

Jesus Christ!. Too heavy handed with the Christian hard sell. I had no idea this was going to be about soul redemption and Jesus. Had I known, I would have passed on the book entirely. As it turned out, I just skimmed through the last half, happy to be finished with it. Christians trying to turn their neighbors on to God in a Northern California's wine country? Make the setting somewhere in the South - it might be believable.

A bit long. Typical Christian love story. Not saying that is bad. It seems to drag out. You know the ending, lets just get there

Secrets by Kristen Heitzmann. I love this book! It drew me in like no other I’ve read. The innocence, hurt, unknowing of where life will lead you, kept the anticipation for me. I believe the best parts were bringing God into the story and how only He can heal and get you through all things. However, the BEST thing in this story is keeping the character virtue and not having lust and desire take over the pages. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Looking forward to reading more from Kristen Heitzmann.

Good story line. Hard to follow.. This book has a good story line but there were many unanswered questions. There are few explanations of the situations presented and those that you finally get are so far into the book that it's hard to remember the original event the are pertaining to. It bounces back and forth too many times. Again, good story line but not easy to read and very easy for me to put down in the middle of a page.

A definite must read!. I have to agree with the other reviews, the story dragged on and on with little answers being revealed early on, and left me confused and frustrated at times. I also agree that the religious aspect of the book was initially distracting, but I think that it plays out well with the story as it develops. With all that being said, I love this book and I highly recommend it!! I'm very much looking forward to reading the next book in the series!!

Secrets. Could not put it down!

Historical romance in modern day setting. With Multiple mysteries from the past and complex characters who each have interesting issues and plenty of room for growth, I thoroughly enjoyed this book as the first I read by Kristen Heitzmann. I felt immersed in the idiosyncrasies of two different cultures as the story moves from the wine country of California to the Italian neighborhoods of the Bronx. After reading several other Heitzmann novels, I believe this was the best of all.

Secrets. Loved it - read it a second time, there will be a third.
