It was actually really good!. I was surprised by how good this book was. I admit I went in with pretty low expectations. The characters are strong and have depth. The story is entertaining and a page turner. The characters are also likeable, which is important. It reminded me of a Mary Balogh type of book, although maybe not completely at that level.

Entertaining. Entertaining with memorable characters. I really don’t understand why so many e-books suffer from poor editing that distracts from the story. Still, the tale is compelling and keeps one wanting more.

😐. The story was kinda dragging. The characters were a bit lacking, the female character, even with the tragic story that she had, I still couldn't find myself liking her, I felt that logically and considering the time period and the experiences she went through her personality didn't make much sense, and also she kept on blaming this guy for her "terrible" life, when in reality if it wouldn't of been for him her life would have actually been terrible, cz let's face it a woman with no title or fortune that got caught in that compromising position would have had a real crappy life in that particular era, instead she got a title and a life in where she didn't have to worry about anything. The male character was supposed to be this prim and proper guy, but as soon as he saw her he turned into a freaking puppy, nothing interesting about him.... I would have liked a bit more depth to his character.... I wouldn't recommend this book, it wasn't what I expected.

Intriguing Tale. Enjoyed every page of this lovely story. It has more twists and turns than a roller coaster! Ava Stone is a first class raconteur. I’m looking forward to reading all of her books.

Great book; misleading title. Characters are real. Story is full of life’s lessons. Title seems to lower the quality of the book to one of sluttiness which it is far from.

A Scandalous Wife. Y. A Scandalous Wife 5.5 Fee Regency iBook. Just too boring. I couldn't be bothered finishing it. Sweet Lydia was foolishly seduced when she was 16, and when Luke, the rake ran off, his older brother Robert married her to save her from ruin. (Unlikely storyline, especially since he is an Earl). Anyway for 5 years Lydia stayed in one of his country houses, and when she came to London, Robert was surprised and angered to be attracted to her. They fall in love then Luke wants to ruin it.

Loved it.. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Can't wait to read the next one. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys historical romance with a good storyline.
