The Pawn. Oh, my, I cannot believe that I have just discovered Steven James! I downloaded The Pawn b/c it was free. I have just finished it and immediately purchased The Rook. Excellent foray into the world of suspense, Mr. James. ppruitt

Warning.... The Pawn is a good book... But it is also the kind of book that will pull you into the story and make you want to read more, even after it is over. Luckily, Steven James must have known that. I just finished his second in the series, The Rook, and it is even better! So, be warned - The Pawn will grab ahold of you, and you may find yourself following a new author!

Amazing!!!. I've been up after 1am for the last few days trying to finish this book. It definetly was a thriller and it kept me on the edge with every word I read. I live in the East TN area so it was cool to read about it. Very easy read! Can't wait to read the pawn, rook, and the queen!

that pawn man!. Well written book. If you are into psychological thriller, then this one is for you. Got lost a bit when I was reading, because of some characters (I cant remeber names, thats why) other than that, its a book to read when you have nothing on your mind. I give it a 7.5-8 out of 10

Good book. Well written book. Possibly a bit too gory for my liking but all around good book.
