Enjoyable read but.... After reading Book 1 of the series (A Scandalous Wife), it's quite difficult to like Lucas Bedford. There's this feeling that he didn't suffer enough or do enough after all the things he put others through.

Great love story. A rather great read! I found myself wanting to read the book all the time and couldn't go a day without reading at least part of a chapter. Made me laugh out loud in parts. There were a few typos but easy to over read. Loved the story!

Awesome. Lucas is one of my favorite Lords! Ava never disappoints, I didn’t put this book down for almost 2 days!

Good Read. The setting is about the same time as Austen's P&P but the characters speak like contemporary Americans. That was a bit jarring as I was expecting a Regency romance. I felt there also was a noticeable lack of details from that time period which, along with the contemporary speech, made it difficult at times to remember it was supposed to be a historical romance. Once I got used to that it was an easy read and enjoyable, especially w/ the plot twist I wasn't expecting!

A Scandalous Charade. This has been a thoroughly enjoyable book to the point I had to force myself to turn off my iPad. I am blurry-eyed and sleepy and it is all Ava Stone's fault. She is a very gifted writer and my next stop is the iBook Store to buy the other books in this series. I can't wait to dig in - sleep is so overrated any way.

A Scandalous Charade. I am half way through this book and I already love it. I was never a fan of historical fiction but that's because I never really gave it a chance. This is my first historical book and I can honestly say I am a new fan. Love Ava's writing and definitely would like to read more from her in the future.

Unexpectedly good read. This was actually a really good read. Of course it's a romance novel, so it has the sappy parts and the expected ending. But it has an interesting plot twist, and the author did a great job tying this to the main story. She also introduced a lot of characters in the beginning but they all played a part in the story. Overall, this is a great story.

Well written !. It's an interesting story not one minute boring at all esp. liked the Caroline character very much ..I would definitely recommend ...

Scandalous Charade. A little Put off usually about romance novels but this book was well done. Writing style was refreshing----------a lot of good dialog and lots of good wit. Like other readers I found the book hard to put down. I will read others by Ava Stone. Cwrj

Entertaining. Lovely book couldn't put it down I wanted more wanted the book to go on wished it was 600 pages long :)

Pretty good. A little bit slow but good nevertheless. This book started out a bit sudden and then it got pretty slow in the middle up until the last part so sometimes I feel that compared to other novels it's not as... Believable and natural I guess but it's still pretty adequate and the twist is creative

Don't judge a book by its cover. I was put off by the cover of this book, but after reading the reviews (and it was free), I decided to give this book a chance. I'm so glad I did because this book was amazing!

Who doesn't love a good rogue?. Seriously? Lucas is so bad he's good. I liked this well enough to purchase the rest in the series....so the marketing ploy worked! Gave the book four stars...I reserve 5 stars for the likes of To Kill a Mockingbird....

Likely, My Fav of the Series. I’m a sucker for a good rake as the leading man. Typos/poor editing that e-books often suffer from. Not so heinous as to make one too upset. Unless, you’re an English Major, or Reading as an Editor, or studying Creative Writing.

Nasty People. The main character is not at all likeable. He had no redeeming features. The females were silly creatures and the plot line poor.

A Scandalous Charade. Witty and engaging if not a little contrived, but what more do you want in a Regency Romance? Enough change of pace to stop you from guessing all the outcomes, although the lack of detail with connections between characters made the significance of the plot hard to follow. Some poor editing errors, but nothing the mind couldn't re-word. The colourful language of regency England was adorable ....I'm sure I wasn't supposed to belly laugh quite so much but yes I was entertained!
