Clueless. This should by no means be in the “Science and Nature” section of iBooks. It has absolutely no bases in any scientific fact. He twists actual scientific examples to appear to fit his creationist, non-scientific agenda. He uses the word “theory” to mean “myth” to decieve the general public, anybody who has taken Biology 101 would know that. Clearly the author has no idea what he’s talking about when it comes to science. Put this in the religious/spirituality section of iBooks, it has no buisness here.

oh dude. One star (zero stars if I was allowed to put it) for being a scientific book. Five star comedy gold. Only download if you want a good laugh and then hours later have panic convulsions that people like this still exist.✌️👍

Misleading, Incorrect and Ignorant. Though quite funny until you realize people believe this crap.

Wrong Category. I'm pretty sure this book is incorrectly categorized: it should be listed under the Humor category. Or possibly the "Chuckle-and-Shake-Your-Head-in-Disappointment" category.

Misleading. THIS IS A DECEIVING BOOK!!! The title leads one to believe it is about what is true and theorized about evolution when in reality it is about disproving evolution with absolutely no sourced or basis of truth in the “facts" at all.

Nope. I would not recommend this at all. I would bet the author is a single minded person, possibly religious, bashing science.

Utter crap. All I could do when reading this "book" was laugh at the authors so called "facts" on proving different evolutionary arguments wrong. If the author is going to make an actual argument and not some accusation followed up by a question to prove their point, I then might give this 2 stars. Also when the author can actually give the readers some sort of facts on why the theory of religion is actually true instead of just hiding behind the bible, which is made up of many different stories, please let me know because nobody has been able to prove this still except for saying because it's in the bible. CHALLENGE: try reading books and actually learn about the topics you are trying to refute. Maybe then you can have an educated argument with people.

Book of lies. Aweful

There are fish that can walk out of water. What about clarias batrachus (otherwise known as the walking catfish)? On page ~10~ you made the statement that it was practically impossible for a creature that lives in water to survive out of water. Your wrong. It can survive out of water.

Good for the basics. While not a technical book with examples, the author gives a brief glimpse into why evolution is questioned by millions. He quickly sums up most of the problems associated with the theory that, contrary to popular belief, is riddled with holes, fallacies, hoaxes, and undeniable fanaticism. A few of his points can come across as harsh or even rude, but, overall, I enjoyed this and I thought it would be great for a grade school to 20 something person to read. For others, I would recommend "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist".

Mud. I enjoyed reading the reviews from the anti-God crowd. They constantly close their minds, in order to live for, and serve their god-themselves. If they would open their minds(and their eyes), they would see the fallacy known as evolution.

Cluelessness squared. A single quote from this book proves how clueless the author is: “Since over 150 years of study has not produced any facts to support the theory” Ouch! Everbody who can walk into a library or use Google will find a gazillion studies that support and prove evolution. It will also help to READ these studies. Unfortunately, a minimal amount of intelligence is required to UNDERSTAND this stuff, so Famularo may have had trouble with this part.

Absolute Trash. If you ever wanted an encyclopedia of the most common and ridiculous anti-evolution trite to deaden the brain cells of everyone around you, this is the book to have. Sylvio offers absolutely no original insight, every remark made being rehashed dribble already well settled within the creationist community. Not only does Sylvio get literally all 31 claims he made wrong, but his points are often irrelevant, he often attacks straw men, and he has even sunk to the despicable level of quote mining. Charles Darwin was quote mined three times in this collection of poppycock. In one instance two sentences from two separate chapters of The Origin Of Species were combined into one and sourced as if the statement was quoted verbatim from a single page! Whether Sylvio is lying or too incompetent to check his sources, there is absolutely no excuse for this level of dishonesty. This book serves as yet another unfortunate example of cognitive dissonance, in which Sylvio rejects the reality around him so that he may hold onto his own delusions.

Go to school!. Any biology or genetics teacher can point out the many holes in his arguments. I read this book and got angry at how little he knows about natural selection. I challenge anyone who took a biology course in a public high school to agree with him.

Lame arguments. Refutes evolution with lame arguments and examples. Don't waste your time with this one. I was at least hoping for some better arguments.

Absolute crap. Wasted time trying to see the evolution in the perspective of a preacher but there is a total lack of knowledge and understanding of the theory of evolution. Even the way it is written is awful. A total waste of time

Really?. I couldn't go through 3 pages of that book without cringing. Don't waste your time with this because that's was it is: a complete waste of time.

Couldn't even finish reading it.. This "book" bashes the theory of evolution without providing actual cited sources and has incredibly poor excuses for why certain phenomenons couldn't have occurred. People like this shouldn't be allowed to right books.

One ought to have a background in science to write science books. I'm a firm believer that people who make claims should have at the very least some knowledge of the topic they are writing about. Clearly Silvio has confused fantasies (his arguments against science) with facts (the 156 year old theory of evolution)* and made the perilous mistake of thinking his meager efforts would be a worthy response to thousands of scientists' hard work adhering to the scientific method. This is arguably one of the worst things I've ever read and should be held up as an example of how NOT to write. To be fair if Silvio is under the age of 15 this stands as a good attempt by a child. * theories in scientific parlance are considered hypothesis that are verified and accepted to be true. A theory is an explanation of a set of related observations or events based upon tested hypotheses and verified multiple times by detached groups of researchers.

A rediculously enjoyable read.. The author does not seem to have any fundamental understanding of how science works. He also clearly does not understand what the word “theory” means in the context of a scientific theory. Many of his facts and challenges are quite simply wrong, often embarrassingly so. He clearly has no understanding of any evolutionary theories, including natural selection and his refutations are based on rediculous ‘scientific’ assertions like "“It has been suggested that at one time, a reptile gave birth to a bird and that all major gaps in the fossil record are accounted for in this way.” I’d love to see who wrote such a thing and when. Certainly this bears no resemblance to any evolutionary theory I’ve ever heard of. I don’t see a single bibliographic reference backing anything up, either for, or against his arguments. Well, just one. The Bible. This book is a rehash of the most silly and refuted caricatures of creation viewpoints. Enjoy it.

Evolution, the theories and facts. This is a very poorly researched Ebook. It's weak as a tool for or against evidence concerning evolution.

Lack thereof in any education or critical thinking; how about the news industry?. Five minutes after reading the book and I was at a termination with it. Yes, Darwin does admit that geography or fossils support his theory; however, we've manifested the fossil record since the century and a half when the bible of Biology was written. I'm sure there are more fallibilities within the book, but I just skimmed the first pages and was at an incipient stage before I realized I was written from a 12 year old's POV. Also, please look up the scientific definition of the word 'theory'. Any scientific textbook would clarify this for you my friend. Bash you I do for meddling on the sciences, but become educated and have science save you from your uneducated self; if you still have the same argument but with different and valid points, so be it. In light of science though, I wouldn't associate my name with this 'book'.

Don't waste your manny on pseudoscience. This book is full of twisted facts to suit theories of it's own , obviously was written by a religious person , makes ridiculous attempts to disregard theories that a held by the scientific method with pseudoscience and belief systems.

Tripe. Not worth the price. This pamphlet is loaded with the silliest most deceptive arguments, rehashed from other silly authors. It wasn't even a good collection of all the wacky arguments out there. It does, however, illustrate the lengths to which creationists will go to confuse the issues. Still, not worth the price, or the time it tok to read it. It was free, you say? Still not worth the price.

Humorously Bad. I should have known better that a 13 page free book would provide nothing but faith- based Christian opposition to a widely accepted scientific theory. If evolution was such a weak theory, why did I, as well as anyone else who has earned a degree in the sciences in the past couple decades learn extensively about it? Wouldn't our professors warn us that this theory was still something they were unsure of? Not only that but the author's arguments against it are ridiculous. Doubting the accuracy of radio metric dating is an insult to any and everyone who has a chemistry background. Also evolution isn't supposed to be observable. That's why it took billions of years for morons (like this author) to evolve from Protozoa. What do you think is more likely? That 'god' created the universe 4,000 years ago, and we walked with the dinosaurs? (All insight gleaned by people thousands of years ago, who have significantly less scientific knowledge than a modern 3rd grader) Or that the vast majority (>99%) is correct in that the theory of evolution is the best method of explaining how and why human beings are alive today, as well as all other living beings. Decide for yourself.

A book written like a SMS rant. Reading this paper, I am amazed at the lack of any common sense, judgement and basic knowledge about the subject of evolution that the author presents. Almost every single point that is made within can be demonstrated rubbish at best with your kids around the house. The sheer lack of research and understanding on display here is incredible. I enjoy having my informed views challenged and I particularly enjoy broadening my horizons. Sadly this paper provides not even an itch of genuine debate or thought provoking comments. As such I'm left just feeling a bit sad that the masses can access such gutter press writing, which I would have been told to go away and start again had I have tried to pass This off as homework when I was at school.

I fancied a laugh.... And was not disappointed. Seriously, though, what annoys me most is this book appears in the Science and Nature section of iBooks rather than the comedy section or classed under the Fantasy category.

A disgrace. I deleted this book almost 15 minutes after acquiring it, by reading the first few pages you can deduce which direction the book is going. I have no idea how this book ended in the Science section, and I am surprised that this book was published to begin with! This is basically a book convincing you to "believe" in the most mediocre way possible. News flash Mr. Famularo, attacking others will never get anyone to even bother comprehending whatever message you are carrying. And how you attempted to argue evolution theories is frankly embarrassing more than anything. Stick to your bible dear.

Absurd. I can't believe anyone in the 21st century can really hold these beliefs and have the mental capacity to type. Clearly the use of the word 'theory' has alienated our poor ignorant author here and I would whole hearted encourage him to test out the equally well evidenced theory of gravity, which no doubt he is just as sceptical about, by jumping from any second floor window. Scientifically, logically and intellectually this book is profoundly flawed. However we can be clear on one point, these views should be aired and challenged in the public domain. We can't let young people grow up in a world where this is taken seriously.

J Smith. One of the most appalling things I have ever read. Every use of science has been traduced in his own use of the word theory which is completely at odds with the etymology and use of the word. Ignore this ignorant person please.

Mr. Terrible book, not based on any scientific facts, rather just creationist opinion. Do not read it or suggest it to others.

This book has no place in a scientific section.. I find it completely moronic that this author begins his book by dismissing the big bang theory because he does not understand it. He also manages this amazing scientific blunder in less than two sentences. It truly amazes me that he can show such a lack of understanding of science then, claim he can dis spell evolution. If you are considering downloading this book I warn you it begins with the most cliche of pointless arguments "no one has observed evolution". I advise the author to go research before make claims about a subject he quite clearly has no understanding of.

Rubbish. A complete waste of time. Essentially a crackpot collection of refutations of examples of evolutionary theory. Mr Eamulare is entitled to his opinions in this area as much as anyone else. But to end his list of unsubstantiated claims by referring to another book (yes, the bible) that itself lacks more than rudimentary factuality smacks of more than a little hypocrisy. Basically, not worth the paper it isn't even printed on! Hopefully this review saves you the time I wasted on this nonsense.

Awful. The author seems to think his grasp of the cosmos is more advanced that the plethora of scientists; he is truly mistaken. This article attempts to dispel some major scientific theories with childish and ignorant facts. Ultimately this is a complete waste of time.

Laughable. You can tell you’re in for a real treat in the very first couple of sentences, which read: “THEORY: The Universe began with the Big Bang. FACT: This could not be so. Bangs never begin anything” I don’t know about you, but I’m totally convinced by this man’s astonishing grasp of science and cosmology. Horrible. How can such a load of anti-science garbage have any place in the science & nature section? All quotes were taken out of context and blown out of proportion, sprouts lies and calls them "facts", all while ignoring real facts & figures.

A procession of straw men. Very weak arguments put up against poorly presented, shallow or simply erroneous statements about the theory of evolution. Not the least bit academic or even thoughtful.

A lack of proof in evolution proves Gods existence. Albeit, if only in the authors own mind. This booklet should be removed from the Science section for its sheer lack of any reasonable scientific and logical thought process. You could be forgiven for thinking an 8 year old wrote this as a joke as the author misinterprets, incorrectly references and continually contradicts themselves while erroneously using the word fact. It's key underlining message appears to be that as a result of scientists not being able to fully prove all facets of evolution due to a lack of physical proof in some instances that this therefore proves God exists (physical proof not needed). It is unfortunate that the authors lack of understanding of the subject has removed any credibility and the publishers should be ashamed to put out such brainwashing propaganda.

Read this and become less intelligent. What an absolute waste of electrons this ebook is. The fact that it can be found under the category of "science & nature" is an abomination. Perhaps if there were a category for "dimwitted religious dogma" it would find a more appropriate home.

Unimpressive. An unimpressive book of pseudoscience.

How naive we are. This earth is billions of years old. Life on this planet has been all but wiped out on more than one occasion but always managed to rebound to flourish again. But this takes place over millions of years, not five thousand years. If a book was written on the history of earth, man would probably not even rate a mention. We are no more than a spec of dust on the clock face of time. To believe that a god waved a magic wand and placed man here to rule the earth over all other living things is naive and arrogant. Wake up and smell the roses! (Which have been around for 35 million years)

The Creationist's Handbook.... THEORY: Creationism arguments are well thought out and thoroughly researched. FACT: None of the arguments presented would withstand an actual debate. One would have to disregard the sciences of biology, geology, chemistry and physics; as well as the astrophysics, geological and paleontological evidence found all around you. CHALLENGE: Scrutinize each argument presented for logical fallacies.

Spectacularly Inaccurate. From the first page, it's obvious that the author didn't pick up a single book on evolution (or science in general) to produce this work. It is, from cover-to-cover, a collection of the usual creationist armament: irreducible complexity, Second Law of Thermodynamics, quote mining, and a Ray Comfort-inspired understanding of the Theory of Evolution. If you read this as an actual exploration of evolution you will, by the book's end, have filled your mind with inaccuracies and fallacies and know less about the subject than you did prior to opening the cover.

Laughable. The definitions and statements in just the sample of this book are wrong. Obviously the author fails to distinguish between what is a theory and what is fact. A scientific theory encompasses a large body of well-supported facts, laws, predictions and produces explanations for a large class of phenomena. As the National Academy of Sciences explains: "The formal scientific definition of theory is quite different from the everyday meaning of the word. It refers to a comprehensive explanation of some aspect of nature that is supported by a vast body of evidence. Many scientific theories are so well established that no new evidence is likely to alter them substantially." The theory of gravity or quantum field theory or the heliocentric theory for instance are all well-supported by facts and produce consistent explanations. Theory, in the scientific sense then is not some untested speculation as in hypothesis, it is a comprehensive explanation. Theories are not facts; they explain and organize facts.

Not what I Was expecting. As soon as I read the first few "facts" and "theory's" I knew this book entirely un-reliable

Not one word is referring to science. Everything doesn't make sense if you've read 1 book on evolution
