What. There's a reason they don't teach this stuff to children. Plenty of this book is speculation at the very most. Anyone can write a book. Just don't trust him.

Glenn makes history come to life!. Why can't all our history books be this way? I loved it!

An Absolute Must Read!!!. Outstanding! This novel really brings Washington, and his struggles, to life. Anyone who reads, or listens to, this book will identify with one of our greatest Founding Fathers. A compelling read; I couldn't put it down. In fact, I gifted a dozen to friends and family over the "holidays" this year. Thanks Glenn!

lacks merit to teach history. Cosnidering this authors quickness to embrace historical revision at the drop of a hat out of politcal and ideolgical convience. I find this book lacking in merit and accuarcy. Looking at in the store confirms it. No suprise it made it's way into book store bargin bins so quickly

Incredible read!. Blazing through this book--I just cannot put it down! Finally, a portrait of the man as he really was. A must read for any student in civics class...if they still teach that.

Being George Washington. Our country is losing site of the good it was founded on.This is exactly what we need! A refresher!!!

Interesting book. It's a shame many people can not cast aside their petty partisan political agendas long enough to compose an unbiased book review. Since the subject of the book has been dead long before nearly ALL biographers wrote about him, NEARLY ALL "facts" are subject to the writers' interpretations, and which "facts" one chooses to believe seems to trend toward their ingrained political agendas. Few books written about Washington happen to be better researched and cross-referenced than this book. Depending on your own personal biases that you possess even before you read the first page, your view of Washington as presented in this book will either be affirmed (that he was truly a great man), or you will find little more than trite disdain based on the indoctrinated view that Washington was merely some irrelevant "dead white dude".

Terrible. This book is just awful. Poorly written and not informative. Complete waste of time

Amazing Fiction!. This would be an amazing story of a Founding Father of only it were true. Filled with highly disputed "facts," erroneous political interpretations and outright lies, it' story telling at its best. If you are interested in history, however, you will have to look elsewhere.

Great Book!. Keep up the good work. You folks make history come alive. This book was an easy read for my kids as well. How about the next one on Mr. Jefferson?

Amazing. Amazing

Excellent book. Excellent book and a lot of fun to read! As most history books are boring, Glenn has pulled off a winner by making this historically based book entertaining and inspiring. To the Soros paid basement rats posting negatives reviews, come out of your Moms cellar and smell the fresh air...and actually read the book. The sun will do you wonders ;-)

Absolutely Great!. I really enjoyed this read. I found it to be exciting and inspiring. It gave me that feeling of how proud I am to be an American. I actually read this book 3 times and liked it better each time. I highly recommend.

Entertaining and educating. This is a great book, and you will be amazed at what you thought you knew about George Washington. This man was truly one of the greatest Americans ever.

Pass on this book. Not well written and the subject matter is very questionable. Beck takes vague suspensions and makes them fact.

Great story telling. It make history alive! Love it! It remind me of "Romance of Three Kingdom". That is how I fall in love with history. No matter is a true or not, it pull you in and you can't stop reading it. It make want search for more. Great story telling. Recommend it. It will worth every penny you spend on it.

This should be required reading!. Every American should read this book, especially young people. Glenn Beck has managed to convey our history in a gripping and easy style. His telling of our story through the life of "The Father of Our Country" is brilliant. Young people need to understand the importance of integrity, perseverance, humility, reverence, virtue, courage, respect, and honor in the character of a person. George Washington embodied all of these traits and it is plain to see that this was the basis of his success and ultimately the success of the United States of America. If every American was striving to be George Washington, we definitely would not be in the mess we are in now. The pendulum has swung far enough and it is time for it to swing back. I know as well as Glenn and as well as George Washington that we need to start this fight on our knees. I will continually pray that America will return to the virtues that made us great. I am not only ready to be George Washington, but I am ready to lead others who are ready to take on this challenge. Bravo Glenn, well done!

One of the best reads of the season. I was blown away by the content, and history that this book had to offer. Totally worth every penny! Moved me to tears a couple of times, this is they way i wish i could learn about all the american heroes, and i'm canadian :)
