hilarious... must read for weekend warrior sports fanatics. laughed basically the entire book, hilarous. Similar humor to i hope they serve beer in hell but not as crude. Very witty, definitely worth a read.

Couldn't put it down.. I never read books. This was the first whole book I read in years and I finished it in a couple days. It's funny and insightful. I love the writing style and suggest every basketball fan to read this book. I'm a Illinois fan and loved the book.

Good book. Worth a read. Written more in a monologue conversation tone. So not the greatest writing but good story telling.

A fun read. Titus has a disarming and entertaining writing style and his personality shows through in every tale. His stories, pranks and language are often juvenile but that should be no surprise to the reader. There aren't many books that I finish in a single day so this was definitely a fun read. And unlike most sports related books written with a "thinking man's" point of view, the author never, ever takes himself too seriously.

Poor. I just didn't find the humor here.

Basketball Boner. Literally laughed out loud many times. Even if you never followed "The Sharks" blog, this book is a must read for any college basketball fan. I'll probably read it again next week.

Must Read for ANY Ohio State or College Basketball Fan. From the moment I purchased it I could not put it down. A great combination of sports and humor with a little vulgarity! A true must-read for any sports fan, especially those of Buckeye Nation!! Urban is the answer! GO BUCKS!!!

Don't put me in coach. After reading this book and the reviews, I am wondering if I read the same book!!! Typical kid of his generation, who wants everything NOW and will whine about it if he does not get it. He has a chance to still play basketball for the Generals but since it is not with the Globetrotters he QUITS.

Hilarious. This a great vacation read if you are wanting an entertaining, don't take yourself so seriously, book. He sways from vulgar to disgusting almost quicker than you can pick up on his sarcasm. I don't know that I want him on my team or even in my company, but his tone and storytelling are quite good.

Exceeded Expectations. Every benchwarmer, OSU alum, and anyone with a sense of humor will enjoy Mark's journey. Beware: pick it up and you won't be able to put it down until your finished!

Don't Put Me In, Coach. Absolutely fantastic book. This comedic genius of a basketball player (Mark Titus) details his journey through high school and college basketball, and all the significant events and whacky hi-jinx he got into. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Solid book on a unique basketball journey. Titus' work is a good mix of obscenity and great storytelling. The pranks he pulls on Evan Turner, coaches and even the NBA make the experience entertaining, so much so that I laughed out loud during a few chapters.

Boring. Don't waste your time or money . This book is a bad joke ! The guy ( I won't call him a writer ) tries to hard to be funny and fails horribly ! Not worth my time to finish reading it .

Meh... On the one hand, I could not put the book down over the course of two days. The content was gripping, and having been separated from Columbus, OH for several years and not knowing who Mark Titus was or never having read his blog, I thoroughly enjoyed the stories that were shared about my favorite University's basketball team. However, the book was poorly written, and I wonder if Titus can "graduate" from the immature style of writing cheap blogs to being an author of a novel. This may never be a best seller, but IF Titus writes another book, I'll read it just so I have something to compare to this specific style of writing for which I cared very little.

Laughed out loud eleven times. That's about $1 per laugh-out-loud which is not a bad price. If you liked the blog, you'll like the book.

Adequate read. The author was funny on occasion. Better read for OSU basketball fans.

Titus Book. Mildly entertaining, the last chapter is pretty much like the first chapter and the chapters in between the first and last are all the same. The writer is a good smartass writer but I found the style monotonous.

Funny Read. Very interesting at first and provided some great insight into a major Big Ten team. Author has a very funny outlook on different situations. Really mundane after the first half of the book.
