eye opener. this book was an eye opener for me! it totally revealed all my fears but then the author gave some tips on how to overcome them. the book is short and easy to understand, the author used simple words so i didnt have to use a dictionary. i wish the author also has a book about how-to-conversations with friends of friends of friends of family members etc. or mutual friends. coz that’s what i struggle on

Great read. This book breaks down people and personalities in a way we all need to learn. All the awkward moments when meeting new people are covered in this book. This should be a college course for freshmen so they can learn how to control and conduct themselves in a uncomfortable public setting.

Meh.... I stopped 15% of the way in. There were grammatical errors and basic vocabulary. I like the idea of the book, but I believe this book had the potential to be better. At the time I started this book it was free so I can’t complain too much.

A great read. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I read the first couple of pages. Its insightful and common sense that sometimes we don't pay attention to when speaking or meeting people for the first time.

A really good read but.... Nothing new to a regular speaker or someone that constantly works with people overall but I will say this. For those who don't socialize very well, this book really breaks it down to the subconscious level things we do while communicating with others. Great find!

Too much of repetition. Almost half of the book keeps repeating the content. I would say, the scope was too little to be stretched for so many pages. Vocab wasn’t impressive at all. But, I could understand the motive of author here, so I would look forward to sufficiently scoped version.

Only covers common sense. I find this book hard to take seriously, especially as the author has seemingly made up a new law of physics through ignorance and lack of research. It just goes to show the level of detail that is missing from this book.

Word patterns. Some good word patterns but a few more for different scenarios mentioned would be very useful

How to talk to people. I found the contents of this book very enlightening. Some very useful skills can be learnt however I found the style of the writing condescending as if I was at school being talked down to. This surprised me given the nature of the book. I do not mean to offend the author but to give some feedback.

It seems to have a soothing tone as if written for someone with a conversation phobia, worst of all is the author confusing his use of 'to' and 'too'- unforgivable!

Just too simplistic. This is patronising, I really wanted to know something new. In a sentence be nice, positive and polite, show interest in the person you are talking too, if they don't like you move on to the next person. This book is a wasted opportunity

42 pages of the blatantly obvious. Even though the book does touch upon the key elements related to the subject, but doesn't make any meaningful remarks or suggestions that might add value to the reader. All of what the book recommends is almost certainly known to all and incorporated in everyone's behaviours - and since not everyone finds it easy to approach and talk with anyone or always knows what to say, I reckon this book is 42 pages of the blatantly obvious, as opposed to real self help!

It's ok. It's ok I imagine it could be really helpful to people who have never been able to approach anyone in public...

I'm sorry, but if someone started asking me the questions suggested eg favourite meal, my dreams or influential famous people, I would most definitely think you were a little strange & nosy. I would want to leave the questioning as soon as possible!! The best quote I have heard, and one I live by "listen to hear, not listen to speak"

Middle of the road. Didn't hit the mark for me. Was a guide to being a nice person. I thought it would have clever things in it like guaranteed sentences that come right up to the line without going over it and leave your listener with a lasting impression.

Excellent for shy individuals though it applies to everyone who wants to interact with people. I did find it repetitive . But that can be a good thing especially if one finds it hard to retain things. All in all a good read.
